    Still wet here in Cornwall Andrew, plenty of wb still around to cut, hopefully we get a decent back half of August and September then I can get out with my drone and see some harvesting around here, that 8rx is a hell of machine for its size in comparison to the quad track, that JCB 3cx is a really tidy example too, great update Andrew as always 👍
    Cheers Lee

    Thanks for the update Andrew. That field of gleam winter wheat looks great be interesting to see the yield when it's harvested. When I worked for Dickinsons we used to collect OSR from farms in Oxfordshire for Gleadells and they stored it on Binbrook Airfield they had a large BM Volvo with a 40 foot pusher tipping 3 loads at a time in the mid eighties. Thanks again.

    There is no such thing as a quick drainage job. You just have to resign yourself to a lost week at least no matter how good your maps are.The results when it is finally fixed are always very rewarding though!

    Birthday greetings for yesterday Andrew, i hope you had a great day!
    That lovely clean field of Gleam.
    If the store had an auger system would that have been better and cheaper for getting the osr in Andrew or would it just be too slow?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard

      Thanks Robert. It would be costly to install and need a decent capacity as sometimes we can have 600 tons coming in a day but I do like the idea.

    Great looking field of Gleam, looks full of potential. Will you carry on growing with its YR issues ? What will be a good alternative to Gleam ?

      I think we’ll carry on with gleam, YR is quite easy to control if you get it as soon as it starts. And not too costly.

    Would a elevator not be better for you in that shed where you store the osr?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  Год назад

      Not really because some times we have 4 or 5 lorries waiting to tip and we can tip a load in each shed at the same time. A pit outside and Elevators in the roof is another way but the cost will be huge.

    Is there a risk that the rubber roller is picking up the seed in the sticky conditions?

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
      @WardysWaffleAndrewWard  Год назад

      Occasionally we’ve seen it in very wet and sandy soil where a few seeds might but most fall amongst the clods and deeper than the roller goes. The rougher the surface the less chance of it happening.

    • @WardysWaffleAndrewWard
