The way he has adapted so well after a season to open wheel racing, I think if given a chance he won't take more than a season to adapt to F1 if given a chance.
@@aomoussynonymous8712 I hope he gets a shot soon at F1, still young and tons of experience. Dude is super talented and very adaptable to racing anything. Also I use to sit next to him in class when I was 8 years old, so Im a bit biased haha

Good, hard racing throughout the entire race with such a dramatic finish. Thank you Indy for trying to fix the problem of passing at Texas, the new downforce package worked wonders in giving drivers more confidence and combined with the new tire compound and drivers rubbering in the 2nd lane it provided an amazing race.
Having followed McLaughlin from Supercars seeing him constantly up front just feels right.
I was really impressed with him riding the Volvo in Supercars
This is a whole nother beast but I wouldn't even be surprised if he wins Indy this year.
Like I thought he wouldn't get used to these cars like supercars. Looks like he has gotten the beast mode back from supercars.
This is gold. Watching it live is just painful. Basically commercial breaks interrupted by some driving.

These long highlights are where it's at! LOVED the sportsmanship after the race.
If this is IndyCar's last race at Texas, what a way to go out with a very good race. It just sucks TMS did very little to promote this race. It just shows what SMI and ISC think of IndyCar.

I was at this race. I was in the US on business from the UK and as a long time Indycar viewer I took my chance to attend a race. It was a fabulous experience all round and the guys put on a very entertaining race. If ever you get chance to attend a race - do it!

I'm here from formula 1. This is so much more fun!! Catching up on last year's season!
So cool, I followed F1 since the early 90s, been to a dozen GPs then decided to give Indycar a chance in 2015, fell in love instantly! Tracks like Road America and Portland remind me of how F1 used to be.
These 30min videos are fantastic for catching up on IndyCar. Great effort, wish more racing series would do these.
I follow the entire season through these extended highlights!

I love all forms of indycar tracks. They all have pluses and minuses week to week. I don’t understand how people call this boring, and need to return to just road or street courses. IIRC, the only laps McLaughlin didn’t lead last race was during pit strategy but I didn’t find it boring. Texas had fuel strategy, tire strategy, passes through the field throughout the race, and a last corner pass for the win. Seriously what’s not to like?
Because of IndyCar i actually come to like oval racing. They are never boring with IndyCar
People who call this boring need to return to f1 and watch their 2 drivers winning every race

Incredible Exciting Wonderful Indy Car
The idiot in the 29 caused 4 other cars (Sato, Kirkewood, Castroneves, Rahal) to crash plus himself. Nothing more dangerous on an oval than a driver who can't hold his line.
Extra fury is that he took the seat that should've been KK's. And Michael didn't even need his money judging by his F1 ambitions, just some silly choice.

It is a superspeedway according to Indycar. To NASCAR it's just ur typical intermediate oval.

Francesco caused three accidents in under 130 laps, two of them involved big hits into the wall! This was Francesco's debut at top level Indy Cars and it is very obvious that he does not deserve to be there! Francesco may think he is a good enough driver but there are probably 19 other Drivers on that track that disagree!

Man, De Francisco caused all three of those crashes.
He tubed 2 other cars trying to go 3 wide where u definitely can't, after already being involved in 2 other incidents.

It's empty because TMS barely promoted it, they really don't care for indycar and place all there focus on nascar

It’s also the PJ1 trash that they put on the track because of NASCAR, and even people have stopped showing up to NASCAR races at this place.
Two things,
1. it was not promoted well
2. TMS holds 181,000 people. You can easily have 30 or 40k attend and never know. My bets that if this race were in Iowa, the stands would have been filled.

Watched this last night on Sky. Swear the American commentators went for an ad break every 10mins then come back and did more advertising, must be an awful viewing experience.
I’ll still take it over being forced to listen to David Croft and Martin Brundle call a Formula 1 race. At least we haven’t heard from Paul diResta yet.
Not really. Under green flag conditions, there is a split screen of the commercials and the racing which is acceptable. Its only under yellow when the commercials are full screen.

My god that’s boring. No wonder there are no supporters in the stands. I’ve been on more exciting bus rides.
The recap format doesn't show racing that well.
It's not like "ball sports" that have an easily defined start and end to plays.
There were a lot more people than it looks like.
The stands hold 180,000 people.
40,000 people is only 1/5th the seats.
Indycar also normally has lower attendance the NASCAR races.
And Atlanta had the first race on the new superspeedway layout the same day.
Also racing isn't for everyone.
And NBC doesn't understand sports.
That's why they spend billions on the Olympics.
