worked like a magic. But one thing. You dont necessarily need to connect both the devices simultaneously in case you dont have two cables. you can first connect the devise which has the app, export the ipa, then remove devise and connect other devise, import ipa and then install.
I've been asking on so many places how to do it without over writing my original stuff and searched up how to do it and this did not come up. Although it was months after my struggle, I found a reddit comment linking this and it was a huge find. Thanks for doing this and hopefully I can get my app now
Awesome! Apple told me there was no way to do this. The app developer told me there was no way. But this worked great! Easy to follow instructions from 3.5 years ago and it all still works.

I still have iTunes 12 (whichever their most recently patched release was, which was pushed so much later that it requires a manual download of the installer) specifically to download apps. Shame it doesn't back up apps and data from the iDevices as older versions did, but the capacity for having these apps backed up, paired with tools like iMazing, is a relief all these years of delisted content later.
