Thanks so much Randy. I absolutely love your content. I learn so much from your content and all you share. You are my virtual mentor. I can learn what lure people want me to buy lots of places, but I learn to be a Bass Angler from you.
Jigs have been one of my primary lures for catching bass for many years but I learned a couple things from this video. Thanks Randy. ps your never tom old to learn. I,m 77 and still chasing them bass here on Truman lake.
I love jig fishing and it seems every time I struggle I pick up a jig and catch bass. Also I never even thought of living rubber jig skirts until I seen you talking about them years ago and I bought a bunch of living rubber and a guy that makes my jig heads and started tying my own jigs and it’s satisfying to catch them on something you put together yourself!
your best jig fishing information yet... I am trying to learn to fish jigs, and i will need to watch this repeatedly before I can absorb all this info...thank you, this was a huge amount of info...thanks again Randy
Randy I’m fairly new subscriber, want to thank you so much as I’ve already caught fish off your Tips! I watched on black lizzards and caught 3 nice bass! I use senior worms wacky and Texas rig! But I fish a large pond and they need change! Thanks love your RUclips!!!
Your advise has been right on. I fish small ponds and lakes in Connecticut on a 10.5 foot old town Kayak. The water is crystal clear and I have no fish finder. Almost all the places I fish are heavy grass. I was always afraid to fish jigs with the heavy grass, but with your old time jigs I've been killing them. Thank you for making my fishing great!
Great jig advice, thanks Randy I would love to hear more about your time in the Atchafalaya basin fishing! or techniques you used while fishing there/dirty water techniques/lures. I am from that area and fish it all the time.
Always useful information but would you consider doing a video with tips and advise on how to work a jig through cover, lay downs, bushes, even rock where you don’t get hung up and lose less jigs?
Great jig tips! I never heard of pitching past the target piece of cover, and then retrieving it just under the water and letting it glide to the cover! I'd love to see an on the water demo of that.
I catch more on a t-rigged craw but the bite has slowed on that. I'll try a jig tomorrow instead. I got both menace trailers and chunk trailers to try!
Caught 30 plus on a Ned yesterday in very skinny water. 1/16 oz with the a trd or other 2.5 - 3” plastic. Very skinny water. 5-7 mph flow. 1/16 oz so it fallls and floats with the current.
Many years ago, my fishing buddy (Central Illinois) made a cast with a 3/4 ounce Superspot...and had a backlash...it took him about a minute to straighten out...when he reeled up the slack line he said, " There's a fish on"...he set the hook into a 10 pound six ounce giant bass that fought so hard we thought it had to be a big catfish...We've been using this technique for years...quite secretly....it infuriates big bass. for those with patience only.
You can just about always get bites off jigs regardless of weather, water clarity, season, etc. obviously some situations are better than others but it’s definitely a bait that can catch a fish anytime.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Look forward to your next jig video.
Best video I've ever seen from you! Keep it coming.

Instructive video Randy , thank you 🙏🏻
Great info Randy. Thanks!
Please make the 1/4 oz , cause here it’s pretty shallow , the fall rate is so important here on a Texas rig
My local lakes are very deep, fall rate is everything.

Jigs are my go to bro I make all my own I have alot of colors and I get all my lead for free so I bought the stuff to make jigs and buzz baits
The hard part for me is feeling the bite and timing hook sets.
What do you think about the built in rattle on some new jigs?
Will you do an on water video on your new boat?
Thanks.
Hopping it they smoke it !
Would like to buy some of your old school rubber jigs, can't find them?
What about on a mostly rock covered banks

Huh I’ve always thought of jig as the best lure when they’re not active
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Look forward to your next jig video.
