The first thing I noticed was how beautiful ur makeup looks today, but after u curled ur hair OMG! u look completely amazing!
I actually LOVE hot rollers! And that price is really reasonable ;) My aunt has a set of hot rubber rollers, also by Convair, but they're from the early 90s (which is so awesome!). I think "Secret Curl" is just their reinvention of the ones my aunt has. The thing with these rollers, and I'm speaking from experience, is that you don't have to wrap them perfectly, you just have to make sure that you get all your hair in the roller. I have a truck you can use Bunny! Try using a rat tail comb and comb each section out, work some curling mousse through each section, comb again and then roll the hair. Finger comb, lightly spray with hairspray and go! The mousse will not only help keep your hair under control while you are rolling, but it REALLY helps with hold and definition after you take them out if the rollers. The curls will just look more polished and clean. :) LOVE YA BUNNY!!

I think the status light might be a heat activated one and not an actual light. Like before you turn it on it will be a red/orange and as they heat up the colour fades to white. I might be wrong but I have a curler that does that so maybe that's why your 'light' didn't work?

you take long socks (clean of course), wrap a section of hair around the sock when it's damp, knot the sock around your curled up section of hair and let it sit until it's dry... unknot the socks and undo the curls and viola! heatless curls.
I do suggest tho, if you have super long hair look into cocoon curls or Bantu Knots ... much better results
but.. dont you have to buy the socks in the first place..? ;P

$60 is pretty expensive for 12 rollers. The shape and design is a little gimmicky but I suppose it didn't give you any of the clip dents in your hair. I have a set from Remington that I really like because it came with enough rollers to do all my long hair at once.

I use hot rollers because curling irons just don't work for me. I really think this device is good and useful, especially because of those beautiful curls you received from it! However, it isn't worth $60, especially since they only give 12 rollers and the indicator light didn't work. They know that 12 is not enough to curl anyone's hair! That's probably why they sell the extras though. Other than that, I would use this!
I use Remington hot rollers and I believe they were about $30, and the device comes with about 20 rollers or so
And Remington is a better brand than co air so that sounds amazing
Yep I agree, I am mostly a wash and go kind of girl but the rare times I do style my hair I have a regular set of hot curlers from Remington that I use. They aren't fancy or frilly but they are easy to use and give pretty much the same affect if you wrap them in the same way. And with regular curlers you can choose which way you wrap the hair for different types of curls.

I've never bought the product, so I'm not sure, but I figure that while you were waiting, it might have been a flickering light and you just missed it. What you talking about? Putting heat like straightening or curling your hair while damp makes your have more shine and volume, but moisturize first, try it it works! :D

Bunny, I have con air hot rollers. The "status light" is pretty much the same for all models/makes. It's red when it's not in use and turns white when it's ready to be used and happens within a few minutes or shorter like the con air jumbo rollers only take 75 seconds or so to go from red to white. The light/sticker thing doesn't glow, it just turns white. I was like "Girrrrl, that thing had s BEEN ready to use!!!!" Haha

I am a hot rollers fanatic, and I am rather mixed about this product. First of all, I love the design because it's hard to curl your hair went you're touching hot plastic; plus, your hair is less likely to slip with this unique design and you don't have to deal with clipping them in place with a metal clip. What I don't like is the amount of hot rollers that comes with the product. I know average amount of hot rollers given range from six, eight, or twelve; but they designed it so you can't fit that much hair into the hot rollers, thus requiring you to buy more rollers. When you take the rollers out, Bunny, just tilt them to one side and gently unwind them like your unwinding thread from a spool. Oh, and I love your makeup; please do a tutorial!!

In USSR women used these things all the time. It's called "bigoudi". They used to drop them in the boiling water to heat up then curl hair and wait. Even then the result looked fantastic

Right?! I took a shower, combed my hair out all nice and neat, drove 3 minutes across the street to the hair salon to get a haircut, and it was literally ALL tangled up again. I was so embarrassed.
There are so many hate comments about what bunny is wearing. The video has nothing to do with what she's wearing other than the fact bunny is doing it and that's what she's wearing.
The indicator is not actually a light, it is simply a temperature sensitive material. Similar to the materials in mood rings. If you look carefully, before you plugged the device in, the indicator had a colour, however, after heating, it became colourless. It seems that after 10 minutes, yours was already heated and ready to go. I have this information because I own a Conair curling device similar to this. Hope this clear up the confusion!
Revlon has a comparable curler set, mine is much better for travel its a soft square and they double up inside. It has a red light that turns on, and instead of snapping, they kind of fold over the rolled hair. Works great same results. They do get very hot! I curl them all up and like she said, then do makeup. Once finished, your hair is ready to uncurl. Huge time saver! Thank you for the video!

Bunny, I think the status "light" isn't an actual light. I have hot rollers by Con Air, and the status "light" is actually just a little red dot that turns white when the curlers are ready. It doesn't actually light up at all so I'm not sure why they call it a light! It looks like that could be the same way.
I have a curling iron that has the same little device, its like a little mood ring thing that changes color with heat lol
I have heated curlers too and it's not really a light it just changes color to heat
This just looks like too much work. In the time it would take for me to wrap my hair around one of those things and clamp it down I could have just use a regular hair curler . And it doesn't even come with enough to do your whole head so that would also make it take way longer maybe it would work for someone with thin or short hair but I have a long thick hair lol

I find hot rollers save me time because, when I'm curling my hair thats all I can do is curl my hair. It will usually take me a bit over an hour (I have a lot of hair) but if I use hot rollers I can do my makeup at the same time. SO it only take me a bit over an hour to curl my hair and do my makeup, not curl for and hour + makeup
They actually save time and curls last longer then with a wand. I may get these! It would be even quicker because they have no pins! I'm actually impressed with them!
Jessa Jessaleigh i guess it just depends in the length of hair and thickness... I have waist length hair thats really thick so for me a wand is my best option for long lasting curls.
It took me a while to warm up to Bunny but now I LOVE her and I watch her videos... I've NEVER used any of the products she tests out I just come to watch her !
I have those and I love them. Just needed some practice and now I do it without thinking. But I discovered that your hair has to be dry before you use it. Like that in 15 minutes you have curls. I guess that having a little bit moist hair and keeping them loger can work too. I haven't tried.

My mom found the product at a swap meet for around $6. We at first couldn't even rotate the clear plastic, eventually we got it to move. But as we plugged it in, we noticed it started smoking and we were concerned if it was supposed to be smoking when you heat it up? You didn't mention anything about the smoke in this video, but we still watched it all the way through and now know what to expect. Thanks girl!

the 'status light' thing, I dunno, I have a similar product and it's not a 'light' at all- it's just this little circle of red that turns to white in about 2-3 minutes of being turned on. It doesn't glow or anything, more like just a colour-changing sticker. It looks like yours turned the tell-tale white pretty quickly but as you were expecting a light (understandable) you had no idea that it was good to go.
Back in the 50's there used to be these things called spoolies . They were a miniature version of the item you demonstrated.. They looked liked they were made of rubber and of course non electrical.

you wil love caruso or clairol steam rollers. curls stay in until you wash your hair. it is steam and does not damage your hair. It is fast. Bye the time you roll your whole head, the first rollers are ready to take out. Cons are you will need to buy additional additional rollers, which come in small, med. and jumbo. They must be left to cool down or blasted with a cold blow dryer. I've used them for more than 20 years and my hair is waist length. They are out of style but you can still get them. Don't get the ones that require salt in the water. be sure to take the heater out of the water after each use or they will corrode on the inside and drastically shorten the life of the setter. There is a slight learning curve because you are working with hot steam but not nearly as much so as with crimping tools and red hot flat irons and curling irons. Would love to see you try one out. Enjoy your videos so much. You are completely hilarious as well as knowledgeable.

Just so everyone knows, I own these curlers and the status light is meant to be red when it's not ready and it turns white/grey to show its ready for use.i hope this helped 😊

So my conair hot curlers actually doesn't have a light. It's a temperature sensitive button that starts red and switches to white when it's ready. So it was probably ready when you first showed it although I usually wait 15-20 mins.
