Simon was the eldest son of Raoul I of Clermont-Nesle (c. 1185 - c. 1226), lord of Ayly, Molette and possibly Nesle. jure uxoris (fr) and Constable of France, who was the son of Simon I, lord of Ailly-sur-Noye (fr), younger brother of Raoul I the Red, Count of Clermont, married to Alix, daughter of Waleran III. Simon's mother was Gertrude Nesle (1175-1239), daughter of Jean Nesle, Châtelain of Bruges (d. 1197/1200), sister of Jean II, lord of Nesle (de) (d. 1239), who bequeathed Nesle to Raoul and his heirs, not having his own heir. Simon had several siblings, brother Raoul (d. 1243), Lord Tartigny, sometimes numbered II, and therefore the possible ancestor of some children, especially those attributed to Simon's son Raoul, when considering Tartigny's Seigneurie.
Simon was an adviser to King "Saint" Louis IX of France, especially in the field of justice. Together with Matthew of Vendôme, he was regent of the kingdom in 1270-1271, when Louis and his son Philip were away on the Eighth Crusade, using the title of "lieutenant" (i.e. "occupied"). In the process of canonization of King Louis in 1283, he was one of the witnesses.
Simon was also tutor to the Enfants de France, children of the king appointed by Philip III.
Simon is considered the founder of the Hôtel de Nesle (de) to house the nobility in Paris, instead of their first Hôtel de Nesle, which was given to King Louis IX and the construction was allowed due to the high positions of his sons Raoul and Guy, and their wealth. The hotel was connected to the Tour de Nesle, and eventually sold to King Philip IV of France in 1314. Made famous by the dramatic "Tour de Nesle Affair" this had far-reaching consequences.

At the start of the guitar we play in E and we do pentatonics. Then when we are mature we move on to the hexatonic scales then at the end we go to the altered scales. To put tension in our playing. This is the outcome of ' a guitarist in full expression.
