Nicu.
You are the most amazing Blues guitarist I have ever heard! Thank you for the music, man. You make trying to learn to play the guitar better, worthwhile.
Here's what makes a good backing track, is a talented audio engineer. See, because not only are the volume levels correct, but there is room specifically made for the lead guitar via panning, and EQ. Thank you sir. It's the reason you have 324k subs.
i thought about putting some jam tracks up but there is really no since in it cause you write the best period..i play your tracks every day and my phrasing has gotten so much better.thanks for all you do brother..
Can you walk me thru how do you start you improvising like the preparation, is it a one take or do you exercise scales first and listen..what are you thinking and so on... Any additionals tips for improvising is much appreciated
Yep, just burned my guitar in the backyard as well. There is no way in this life I'll ever get to play this as amazing as this! The tone is also out of this world. I doubt only AXE FX2 XL+ had something to do with this, it's the guitar plus the playing plus some otherworldly magic mojo.... it's just plain awesome!!
I really enjoyed that. I enjoyed your playing. Lot's of feeling & lovely tones. It would be nice on the track if there could be a little bit more of a gradual build up just to make the playing to it a bit more fun.
Nicely done on the intro. Playable and all the right elements. For whatever reason, I haven’t been a fan of Quist’s other blues turnarounds. This is the one I like-typical of Stevie and Eric. 1, 4, 1, 5, 1. Getting that IV in there, cutting back to the I, then the V. Not a slam, just my preference. Thx for this one.
I am very new to soloing and need advice and help understanding. Are the chord changes there, so when they switch, you disregard the original key and play in that key of the chord change?
Thank you so much Quist, It helps me a lot. At least I can fake like you did but I can't hardly play it. I always like to play solo but lack of practice that slow me down. This lesson I know it will improve me a lot. Please do more. Great job Sir for the way you did. Have a wonderful day Sir.
Hey Quist, hearing your music inspires me to play more! I first heard your tracks on your collaborations with Brian from Active Melody, who I subscribe to for lessons. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing your music.
Are you the Blues guitarist for the Backtrackit app or did you choose the selections available through it? I downloaded the app about 2 weeks ago to gain leverage on a song (vocals) that's been haunting me for years. Little help there and finally...success. More than I anticipated, ended up with around 7 different versions. Lol. Anyway, just about every track you played I'd laid something down to with those lyrics over the last 2 weeks. I would be grateful if you're interested in hearing it. You're a great musician, so your feedback would be honored. Thank you regardless.
Hi Dawn! I’m not familiar with that app, does it look like it’s my stuff that’s featured in it? Great to hear that you’re having fun with the music :))) and feel free to connect with me on Patreon for specific feedback on your music. Lots of love and happy jamming!
Hey quist this is some bullshit bro. Youre already so f’n good bit then your intros are PERFECT. Damn. Love you dude. You matter a ton to a lot of us.!
wow, this was very hardiest to improvise than a faster song, it really really challenger keep the mind free to the music in and out with good ideas all the time, slow blues is my favorite, but is the hardest technic to improve.
The only criticism I have for you is I don't love the abrupt endings... I'll be really getting into a groove and then the track stops unexpectedly 😂 other than that though, I always really like your work 👍
I wrote words to this it's called 300 people (live under our Bridges). It's real it makes me cry to know first hand the pain of the homeless in what's supposed to be the richest country in the World.
I hope you have loads of fun with this easy-to-enjoy Blues in A minor!

Dude, is it possible to download this track anywhere? I can't find it. Thanks 🙏👍🙂
I've been playing for over 30 years I'm using this to practice playing slow it is so hard to play slow just so hard
When less is more. Perfect phrasing Sir, bravo !
Thank you Iain, I hope you enjoy it!
This is a nice track. Very soulful. With room to stretch out in.
Ahh Saturday morning.. drinking tea (no coffee, have been fighting a cold). These sweet blues licks will certainly help. Thanks Jacob!
🙏🙏🙏 Hope you feel better soon!
I just cannot stop listening… This melody is so addictive! Thank you, Maestro!
Outstanding!! Subscribed immediately.

Sat in my studio and sang a song I wrote and give it hell ... soo much thanks ❤🩹
Adding this to my backing track folder for flute jamming :3

Awesome...great how you've set it out on the screen
Perfect warmup jam. 🙏

Ah man love this one! Your playing at the start is superb!
Hey thanks so much!
Wow. I heard some Albert Collins bite then some Albert King and then Ronny Montrose with those harmonics. 🎸🤘🏼
🙏
Suas frases me deram boas ideias. Parabéns
Alright bro wtf how am I supppsed to hit a riff on this after getting absolutely creamed on by that intro Jesus 🤣🤣 I put the guitar down
bro thats me so often hahahahaha
i feel you he goes so crazy sometimes
Practice more brother ….. best musicians are just the ones who practiced the most 🎸🙏🏼
This guy does this in every video. Maybe something to get you going
Giving you ideas and shyt 😊
@@cheese9580 I like it better than others coming in later. This sets a mood rather than shoving you aside just when you get cooking.
Excelent, now i can improvice, this site Is my inspiration
Great stuff. I had to watch x3 to pick up that sneaky-cool shift of the pick to between the knuckles and back... thats a cool tip in itself.
Wow. I listened to this intro like 20 times in a row. Do you hear this in your head and then play it or is it improv on the fly?
Your sound is incredible! Curious what pickups you’re using?!
Great Dreamy Backing Track and amazing blues player!
Hey from Australia. Great track as usual. Just a question, would you count this in 12/8
Nicely done on the intro. Playable and all the right elements. For whatever reason, I haven’t been a fan of Quist’s other blues turnarounds. Very nice playing!
A beautiful track.
