Rocky Bleier is a man among men.
He should have a real film made based on his story.
If Vince Papali gets a Disney film, Bleier should get a 5 star film.
Matthew633 that would be a bad ass movie
Totally agree. His story is so unique and inspiring.
A TV movie was made back in 1980. It wasn't very good. It should be remade (as Miracle was).
Matthew633 I have his jersey
They made a tv movie with Robert Urich. But it would make a great Big film.
Rocky Bleier is the most badass NFL player of all time
Standing ovation for this great man....God Bless you Mr. Bleier....thank you for being a wonderful example of character and determination.
I started at Notre Dame the year Rocky was drafted. The highlights of pre-football games at that time were prep rallies in the old Fieldhouse (no longer there). The two greatest pep rallies I attended were when Pat O'Brien gave his 'win one for the Gipper' speech and when Rocky Blier came back after being wounded in Vietnam and then making it back onto (and excelling on) the Steelers squad. As Rocky told his story, there wasn't a dry eye in the Fieldhouse - I'll never forget that night.
Man, this just made me miss old school football
Remember Rocky Bliar signed a picture for me before college football camp! Great man and fullback And thank you for your service To the United states military
He should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
This guy represents what the Steelers are!
Much respect for Rocky bleier. Steeler Nation love you.
Rocky deserves to be in Canton.
Undoubtedly
This man should be in the Hall of Fame. --- Semper Fi!!!
Solid: Always was clutch underrated receiver and runner. When Bradshaw was out in 76 he rushed for 1000 yds with Franco.
Nevermind todays players... this is a true GREAT.
Met him tonight! Awesome guy!
Thank you for your service Rocky Bleier
So philly looks up to a fake rocky. Pittsburgh looks up to real hero’s named rocky.
they left so much of the story out. wish they would've at least said something about all of the surgeries, rehab, and returning to the team.
I don’t feel that bad for my Cowboys losing to the Steelers twice in the 1970’s after watching this.
Pittsburgh WILL ALWAYS LOVE ROCKY
Believe it or not, I found a Rocky Bleier signed old jersey in a Goodwill store couple years ago. Paid 30$ for it. Kept it on a hanger for two years. My wife is from Pittsburgh and a big football fan. Finally, I had the uniform framed by a professional framing company in Tucson. It looks great with Steeler logos in all sides. It's hanging in the parlor with all her other memorabilia from the steelers. Sertainly looks like a signature from Rocky based upon my google search. No matter. It's hers to enjoy.
And he came from Vietnam with half a foot. And still played better than most.
My favorite Steeler! He was loyal to the team and Art Sr was loyal to him. It wasn’t about money it was about honor to country and team. Rocky still works hard for veterans. A true American hero
Not a Steelers fan but dam sure a Rocky fan. Thank you sir for your service 🇺🇸
I wasn’t there but born April 18, 1980 in Allegheny county. Raised in small coal mining town 17 miles NE of Pittsburgh for 28 years and bleeding black n gold til I die!!
My family experienced these moments (though quite a few blackouts early on, all radio broadcasts). Rocky, Franco mean Joe, that team was Pittsburgh life. Country city to country life. Yes I wasn’t born but they showed me this. Though the nfl and pro sports back then all around was like that. Hard nose, no BS over the top flashy entertainment.
Rocky great man as we had others. Incredible how he came back.
RIP George Romero
He went to my high school.
Rocky Bleier made it to the Sports Illustrated cover from Super Bowl XIII. A classic photo and classic cover.
How in hell did we get to Colon Krapadick?
Thankyou Rocky . Welcome home .
Awesome, thx NFL Films.
Great guy great story. He is someone the young people should look up to
Mike Gornik directed Creepshow 2. I met him at Cinema Wasteland in 2012. Such a nice guy!
Some people are just that amazing.
R.I.P Romero :-(
The real Rocky
Awesome testimony I never heard of him.
Great! All best wishes and good health
I guess he was like Rocky Balboa
From Rocky to Colin !! WTF happened to to this country ?
I know, right?
Great point obviously. One true American fights, gets wounded, returns. One never faced anything, can't stand for a flag that represents these great men. Travesty
Good point---Where is the Rocky Blier story. Hollywood can do a good thing by telling his story to America.
Welcome Home Rocky , glad you made it . I agree with Phil Risotto , what the hell happen to this country , almost reminds me of when I came back in 69 with all the nut case liberal whackos 75th ranger regiment 68-69
David Calvin thank you for your service, sir.
This is a true hero and role model. Unfortunately in 2021 he’s be called an Asian hating racist. Times have really changed
Then ESPN took him back to that same battlefield 49 years later and he got heat exhaustion while there. Then after he got cleared medically he went back.
That guys glasses r just great 😁
What he went through to come back to play that's definitely a football plAyer
Wisconsin born and bred. They don't teach toughness up here just born with it. 920 in the house
Amen!!!
A blessing from God. His life proves God exists
The filmmaker thinks that its about him!
He has a very high opinion of himself. No humility here folks
you're stupid,he almost died in war he gets to be confident
When you see these flag/anthem protest it makes you love#20
He went to Vietnam that's all you need to know
I'm going to say it I think the NFL people in Canton Ohio need to get your s*** together and they need to put Rocky Bleier in the NFL Hall of Fame this is a Hall of Fame running back fact that this guy could have after 11 games in the NFL bought his way out of the military draft didn't have to serve our country but did anyway and also got injured was told to never play football again and ended up coming back and having four Super Bowl rings and being the 4th leading rusher in Steelers history how the hell is that nada an NFL Hall of Famer. His story is inspirational and incredible and he was one of the key players that helped the Steelers win 4 Super Bowls in the 70s you know what I say that's an NFL Hall of Famer how you still kept OJ Simpson in there after he was convicted of murdering two people and you know what I'm going to say it I don't want Rocky Bleier dead and then the NFL people finally cave in and decide to put them in the Hall of Fame put him in the NFL Hall of Fame while you still alive why you can see him wear that golden jacket.
This isn't a character thing it's all about the numbers and he don't have the numbers.
@@TravelHall74 offensive lineman don't have stats either. Without Bleier Franco doesn't rush for 12k and Bradshaw doesn't have time to make Lynn Swann and John Stallworth into Hall of Fame receivers.
OJ Simpson was found not guilty by of the murders though…
First
Amazing video tho
I don't understand why he didn't go back to Viet Nam to finish his tour after rehab.
He paid his dues. Respect to the man. He didn't complain about fighting for his country. He did everything with honor.
Rocky blier has more heart than the whole NFL of today the cry baby overpaid punks that play now make me sick and all the rules now days have ruined football
Rocky pliers? Who?
Rocky Bleier used steroids...
mamster233 Proof? Damn ravens and Patriots trying to lie about our dynasty.
Sure. Check this out: bleacherreport.com/articles/232404-the-steelers-steroids-and-profound-misconceptions
DtagonFinder249 did you check it?
Where'd you get your "Facts"
DtagonFinder249 Did you read that link? Rocky said it himself that he used steroids to help him play again. By the way, I still think Rocky is awesome. The steroids helped his body recover.
Rocky blower was trash rode franco harris's coat tails for an entire career
How’s Canada?
