The dryer tumbler was not tumbling, but the heat was working. I RUclipsd that and found your video. Sure enough after unscrewing some screws and pulling the front panel off, it is a broken belt. Thanks for this video.

This looks exactly like my dryer. I took the advice and bought a 5/16ths nut driver like it says in the video. Unfortunately, I need a 3/16ths. Other than that, this is a very helpful video.

I think if the belt breaks on your kenmore/whirlpool dryer, you should always change the idler pulley and the 2 rollers located in the back cabinet of the drum. It makes no sense to just change the belt, as these parts are probably worn as well. My belt broke last week and they sell a kit that has the belt, 2 rollers w/clips, and the idler. On ebay they are as cheap as $15.00 for the kit. My 20 year old Kenmore dryer makes no squeaking noise anymore and runs like new. Even dries the clothes faster! Very easy repair.

Hair was wrapped around the right support rubber wheel so tight that had i continue to let the dryer on despite the sound i would have burned the motor
Ok I'm a girl... I suppose girls are stupid when you're lone have no male help of any sorts... I have a stackable older model... the drum wasn't rotating... I opened the top to see the belt... the belt is fine... I moved the stackable out from the wall... this may where I got stupid... it took the back off... I noticed a wire came loose and the metal end on one side broke... I can fix that and it wrks... my problem is I can't remember how to put the bac bac on... I want to see how it looks in the bac or how to put it bac together... this is a Kenmore older model as I said... I can't fine one vid that will show the whole bac of a stackable... the dials of the dryer are up top... not on the bottom as I see these newer models are... can anyone help??? walk me through this??? I'll be grateful...

This looks exactly like my dryer. I took the advice and bought a 5/16ths nut driver like it says in the video. Unfortunately, I need a 3/16ths. Other than that, this is a very helpful video.

I think if the belt breaks on your kenmore/whirlpool dryer, you should always change the idler pulley and the 2 rollers located in the back cabinet of the drum. It makes no sense to just change the belt, as these parts are probably worn as well. My belt broke last week and they sell a kit that has the belt, 2 rollers w/clips, and the idler. On ebay they are as cheap as $15.00 for the kit. My 20 year old Kenmore dryer makes no squeaking noise anymore and runs like new. Even dries the clothes faster! Very easy repair.

i have a whirlpool dryer when the drum on it hums. taking the drum an belt off the motor spins when turned on. is the motor to weak to spin the drum? or could there be another issue?

Hair was wrapped around the right support rubber wheel so tight that had i continue to let the dryer on despite the sound i would have burned the motor

Ok I'm a girl... I suppose girls are stupid when you're lone have no male help of any sorts... I have a stackable older model... the drum wasn't rotating... I opened the top to see the belt... the belt is fine... I moved the stackable out from the wall... this may where I got stupid... it took the back off... I noticed a wire came loose and the metal end on one side broke... I can fix that and it wrks... my problem is I can't remember how to put the bac bac on... I want to see how it looks in the bac or how to put it bac together... this is a Kenmore older model as I said... I can't fine one vid that will show the whole bac of a stackable... the dials of the dryer are up top... not on the bottom as I see these newer models are... can anyone help??? walk me through this??? I'll be grateful...
