Windows Phone 8.1 was AMAZING, shame W10M brought us bugs and Microsoft killed it with a mediocre looking 950...(but having a fantastic camera and microphones too) I hope they will ever come back, I loved the OS :)
These after the buzz videos are proper reviews! Keep it up! Please make them a priority on your channel because I feel that as good as normal reviews are, they tend to not really give people a proper day to day usage feel...thanks guys :)
I've been using the Lumia 920 continuously as a daily driver since launch day. Regardless of the fact that I enjoy its bulk, the weight is a consideration for those coming from lighter devices (as mentioned in the narration). ^MF
just got my Lumia 920 yesterday and i cant complain. it's complete ^__^ i love everything about her. thank you ^MF for showing us how you loved nokia lumia w/o being biased.
Well, Michael mentioned in a previous video it has been his daily driver some time. In this video, he pointed out that the [dead horse issue of] weight isn't substantial but some people who are used to light phones may complain. The weight does give you a premium feel though.
A very good video Micheal, if i was to switch to a windows phone would you recommend me going straight for the Nokia 920? or should i go for a earlier model and get use to the platform? thank you your advice would be most appreciated.
@Tsukasadothack....You are correct. The human eye more than likely will not notice the difference from 720 to 1080. Especially on such a small display.
Couldn't agree more Michael. My Lumia 920 is still fast, responsive and more than capable of competing with the Jellybean fitted Android phone that I also have (the Xperia T) in fact, the Lumia is a lot less "buggy" than the Xperia, since the Sony phone got upgraded to 4.1.2. That's a trend I hope continues when Windows Phone 8 gets its first major software update. Any ideas when that might be?
You're saying that now but in a couple of months you'll love 1080p.FYI Same thing was said for 720p when the galaxy s2 was criticised for not having 720p
I think they are doing it for the future nokia phone EOS. I'm not sure, but I am sure that pockethow will cover the event where nokia will announce the phones of 2013
He's talking about other people's reactions to the weight. Which is something I've experienced myself. I'm used to the weight, but if someone else grabs my phone coming from one of the other lighter "plasticky" feeling phones then they notice the weight right away. However the 920 screams quality (like something that will be "vintage" one day) and personally I'd rather have the weight than the ultra cheap feel of Samsung and HTC phones. Although the HTC One seems promising.
I don't feel as though he has actually used Nokia Lumia 920 "after the buzz". The weight is not even an issue once you use it for even more than a few days. This seems more of just an update on the landscape of news and comparing it to what we knew before.
I have black one for 3 months, already have some scratches on the screen and small damages on corners. But overall it's a great phone fast and cool design. However Nokia should create his own OS or switch to Jolla OS
Yeah, I've seen the odd rumour about this "Windows Blue" and some wild reader speculations that its going to be a yearly update that could cost as much as $300 a time! That surely cannot be right, can it? Personally I hope that Microsoft are reasonable and sensible about updates, for both Windows Phone and Windows on PC (both, I've heard being covered by the Windows Blue project) I'll be sure to keep my disruptors locked on pocketnow, & the cloaking device control panel close at hand! :)
The thing is that even if it is already a more than 6 months device a lot of person doesnt know bout it which is good (for me) I really like being different :) A lot of people were like..What phone is that?! What android app did you use to have that kind of home screen etc etc. and I was like shouting NO IT IS WINDOWS PHONE!
Mine neither - try "Batterie Sense" - active toast message with battery drain in the app-options and at least u get noticed when batterie ist draining quickly! not a real solution but it helps :)
I disagree with the 1080p comment. There is no need, at all, to have a 1080p screen on your phone. Having used and experienced a 1080 screen it seems ridiculous that it should even be selling point. Yes you cam see a difference but to sell a phone on it is clutching at straws. On a 40" screen 1080p can make all the difference but when sending an email from a phone I say 'No it just does not matter that much'.
Need??...i don't think so...maybe "like"...or "want"...but need??...over 300 ppi you get crisp text with no pixels...yeah 1080p is better, but im not crazy about it...many people too
1080p on a phone is ridiculous. You won't be able to tell the difference, but the power consumption and processor will. It's pointless. Weight, not an issue, unless you're 3. But then again I've seen 3 year olds hold the Lumia with no problem.
graphene-flagship.eu got about 0,98 Bill. Euro from the EU to accelerate the Graphene developing. So, that's not Nokia. Which implies that, if graphene is ready for the market, not only Nokia will have access to it. So, as long as it's not available "STAY WITH POLYCARBONTE".
Old times... :(
Miguel Luna Ikr Best mobile OS ever
The Original Martian nope best looking mobile ever which got ruined by its os
Windows Phone 8.1 was AMAZING, shame W10M brought us bugs and Microsoft killed it with a mediocre looking 950...(but having a fantastic camera and microphones too) I hope they will ever come back, I loved the OS :)
We're not sure yet, but keep an eye on the "Windows Blue" stories at Pocketnow!
Love the After the Buzz series. Pocketnow is doing a great job!!!
These after the buzz videos are proper reviews! Keep it up! Please make them a priority on your channel because I feel that as good as normal reviews are, they tend to not really give people a proper day to day usage feel...thanks guys :)
Michael, your reviews continue to be eloquent and objective. Thank you.
Great voice / delivery . Best out there . xox
I've been using the Lumia 920 continuously as a daily driver since launch day. Regardless of the fact that I enjoy its bulk, the weight is a consideration for those coming from lighter devices (as mentioned in the narration). ^MF
After the buzz is the sweet nectar extract of pocketnow.
just got my Lumia 920 yesterday and i cant complain. it's complete ^__^ i love everything about her. thank you ^MF for showing us how you loved nokia lumia w/o being biased.
Love your reviews. Very helpful and informative.
Another great video Michael, as always.
i love my 920. beeeautiful looks, great feel, great camera.
Well, Michael mentioned in a previous video it has been his daily driver some time. In this video, he pointed out that the [dead horse issue of] weight isn't substantial but some people who are used to light phones may complain. The weight does give you a premium feel though.
We're preparing a shorter intro that preserves the energy of this one but cuts it down a bit.
I like this After The Buzz series... good stuff... It's different...
My Lumia will be arriving at my doorstep any minute now!
A very good video Micheal, if i was to switch to a windows phone would you recommend me going straight for the Nokia 920? or should i go for a earlier model and get use to the platform? thank you your advice would be most appreciated.
i absolutely love this guy...
great epsiode too
@Tsukasadothack....You are correct. The human eye more than likely will not notice the difference from 720 to 1080. Especially on such a small display.
really miss the music that used to be here, fit this video intro so well
Oh, thank you. The version I had on the phone was the nokia one. Thanks once again :)
the previous tone...can I download it?? I loved it..
Love the intro.
I love after the buzz
Couldn't agree more Michael. That's a trend I hope continues when Windows Phone 8 gets its first major software update. Any ideas when that might be?
Personally, I really admire the intro, it just flowed better with the older Pocketnow intro music (which I still prefer over the new one overall).
What color theme are you using on that Lumia, and why don't I have it on mine?
You're saying that now but in a couple of months you'll love 1080p.FYI Same thing was said for 720p when the galaxy s2 was criticised for not having 720p
Do you have any problems with the front facing camera. Many users complain about dust in the camera and proximity sensor?
Great video!
Thanks Mr Stark
This guy is great. He's got pinash.
I think they are doing it for the future nokia phone EOS. I'm not sure, but I am sure that pockethow will cover the event where nokia will announce the phones of 2013
I still want one...
what would you say 920 or 925?
i am worried about the 16g on the 925 compared to the 32g on the 920
He's talking about other people's reactions to the weight. Which is something I've experienced myself.

Yes, I believe it is.
Michael I have a question, in case of microsoft releasing the windows phone 9, will the 920 receive the update?
I don't feel as though he has actually used Nokia Lumia 920 "after the buzz". The weight is not even an issue once you use it for even more than a few days. This seems more of just an update on the landscape of news and comparing it to what we knew before.
Nice video and I agree with his opinions
Does anyone know what app that was in the top right (live tile displaying weather)? Is it available on the 620? thanks
i dont like one thing in windows phone which is you cant put manual/static ips for wifi service .. only dynamic ip will work
badass intro
Does anyone have the idea of what happen with the 920's "no service" issue?
What happened to the intro music?
I had the 920 the day it released and gave it every opportunity but the battery life was the killer and I had to switch but I miss the camera
c'mon nokia...mold graphene already!!...that and the "fusion" of the 2 pureview sistems in the 808 and the 920 will make the most killer phone ever!
I am okay with either aluminum or polycarbonate. As long as Nokia keeps their beautiful design and amazing camera.
Why've you changed the music at the intro? The other one was much cooler
You guys should the Lumia 822 after the buzz...
I think the battery life is the issue here. I think more emphasis should be placed on this than the weight of the phone.
I like it better now, with the new theme song. :D
Please... PLEASE song name behind the review (from 1:05 til end)
I think its the weather app from microsoft, and it should be available to all WP8 phones.
Use it for a few days first, it needs to figure out usage cycle before it can make accurate predictions.
I love my lumia 920
I was just about to say that. My 23" monitor looks fine with 1080p, why would I want it on a tiny screen of a smartphone?
I've used it for 3 months. I bought it on launch day.
Yep.
I have black one for 3 months, already have some scratches on the screen and small damages on corners. But overall it's a great phone fast and cool design. However Nokia should create his own OS or switch to Jolla OS

3:44 what is that thing?
Mine neither - try "Batterie Sense" - active toast message with battery drain in the app-options and at least u get noticed when batterie ist draining quickly! not a real solution but it helps :)
Do a nexus 4 after the buzz please!
In the intro I always think he's gonna say "It's just a giant big cluster f*ck"
I miss the old pocketnow theme music.
@BonHesleyMejia yeah
There's an annotation that says "skip intro" :)
So do we. :) ^MF
Hey nice episode dude i like it
Fuck 1080p. You can't even tell the difference between 720p on a smartphone and the battery drain isn't even worth it.
Michael Fisher not saying Mr. Mobile sounds weird
If a phone feels light you can just add an extended battery to bulk it up and add weight
After the buzz: Droid DNA
Love this phone but needs more apps. :(
I don't ramble. Re 1080p: you must've missed my Droid DNA review. ^MF
I made a good choice buying it then!
What we want from after the buzz : how leggy the device is. How easy it is to use. The frustrating thing about it. That's more than enough for me.
Starts at 1:05
nokia is part of that. in fact they did the announcement.anyways it doesn't matter, they have been studying it for more than 5 years now
Outstanding device however it just wasnt quite enough to convert me from android so I ended up getting the note 2.
♥ FISCHER
Put it on sprint and ill get it in a heartbeat
Alot of people do.
A quick glance at the comments below is enough to find out how good the Lumia 920 actually is
"doesn't need sacrifice asthetics.." ??
what? it's so thick it can stand on it's own...

What are you talking of?
This phone weighed a ton
The 920 is the phone I want, sadly I am on Verizon so I chose the 822. It's a great phone, but not the 920.
my nokia lumia 920 is still has amazing camera specially in video. but not good selfie photos!
1080p on a phone is ridiculous. You won't be able to tell the difference, but the power consumption and processor will. It's pointless.

You are the gadget nerd, you should know technology develop everyday. You can't compare yesterday's phone to todays.
cut the intro short ... 1.07 secs is a bit long..
If you are using a Computer their is a annotation to skip the intro.
my personal ratting after using both
alright stark!
