I would love to see you do a video about your friend and what he meant to you. Let us know the history and why he had so much stuff and decided to give it to you.
That's whut i told um
I agree
Would love to see the history of him and you.
You should do a video on your friend that passed away. Would be cool to learn about a guy that collected all of it, how he collected it etc.
Yeah do a tribute to the minty dude
@@adamtaylor5591 1
I have got to agree with you there I'd enjoy seeing that unless it would be to personal and upsetting to make
That's a cool idea. I've also been curious about him. But it's a very personal thing and it might be hard. You do you 👍
Man this one needs to be fixed up and used to haul around the latest Card and Cameras projects!
Exactly what i thought and can be used as temporarily storage if needed .
@@bendermi yeah it could be a temporary storage place *turns into decade old storage*
@@zakbroad9130
I didn't get that .
@@bendermi ah just some cars turn into permanent storage, was just a joke dw : )
@@zakbroad9130
Now i got it , that's not only a possibility but also a hazard we all have to be aware of.
We all have seen the heaps of goodies they are getting offered and they do the only right thing and that's to buy the whole lot .
This has moved to the top of the list as most wanted to see kept running! This has to stay in your fleet!
The new Cars and Cameras shop truck. She’s a beauty. Don’t see those everyday
Them old big v6 are rare as hens teeth at this point.. Keep that one running man..
That 305 v6 was a heck of a GMC MOTOR . Gas mileage was 7 to 8 miles a gallon .
Your friend sounds like he was a hell of a guy, my condolences for your loss.
Dude dont EVER get rid of that truck, restore it, that engine is so awesome, and rare!
Would love to see you turn it to a go cart/ mini bike hauler
+1
Good idea!
Absolutely, that is an awesome idea!
Agreed. 👍
Let me agree 👏👏👏
Glad the GMC badge is still In The grill. What a gem!
“ THE CRYPTIC CAMPER “ ! Well, would make a neat little camping truck 😁
Bring it back to life and drive it as much as you can. Make it as nice as you want it to be.
Nice old truck. Maybe you can set up the back to camp in and use it to tow a trailer for mini-bikes and go karts to events.
This brings back memories. When I was a teen my grandpa had a 1960 panel truck. It was brush painted black.
When it fired up ...I was as excited as Isaac, to hear it run again.
A commenter from the late 1700’s! Awesome! Even dead presidents love Issac! 🤣
Yes... lol
In 73 before I was graduating H.S. my friends dad was going to sell me his 61 GMC 305 V6/4 spd 4x4 pick up. Real clean & straight. Then backed out. Fast forward to 93 and my girlfriend bought me a 63 GMC 401 V6/4 spd 2x4 pick up sight unseen but supposed good runner, from northern Az. Got it delivered and it did run good. For a few minutes. Coolant ran straight thru the block into the pan. Made a bunch of calls and those that had even heard of the 401 V6 just said "Good Luck!". 1 old timer service tech at a GMC dealership said he hadn't even seen one in at least 20 years and that I would probably have to get a big loan, have the block welded, machined & cross my fingers. Sad day for me when I ended up selling her to a guy with a custom car shop who had been looking for a project. Glad you have had better luck and keep us updated please.
Out of all the car content I've watched from the states.. your the first person to lube the bonnet hinges.. well done that man 🤘🤘
Cold War Motors.
@@waynegouin939 Close, Canada. But, yeah, CWM. Fancy seeing you here, Wayne. Cheers, sir.
Save it! Fix it up, get it driving, and put that truck back on the road!! An ode to your friend, and putting something classic back on the road!
I’m really enjoying this “ I inherited” series.
A small portable plastic boat tank with the pump up bulb is handy running old engines that have been dormant a long time. Beware trying to run the old varnished up fuel,it seizes valves to the guides-clean it out! Those Holley 1 barrel carburetors are golden!
I saw that sitting in the background of a previous video. What a kool truck...
used to have a chevy panel truck 66
Great video she ran sweet for an old gal. Keep it blue, it looks sweet.
That's such an awesome truck mate. It deserves to be a daily runner, would make a great camper!
Those old GMC V6's want to run! You're right, it does sound great.
Very Nice Issac! My Great Grandfather had one similar.Keep that ride man and restore this rare gem.Perfect tribute to a fallen Brother that left you so much
Had a 1960 GMC panel truck, but never saw one with those high side windows in the cargo area. Glad she's a runner!
Definitely need to keep this one in the fleet. As others have said use it to haul the mini bikes and carts to the Cars and Camera events. I'm sure it would pull a trailer too, could see it saying "It'll Be Fine" on this side
First off, sorry for your loss. I would love to see the panel truck on the 2022 or 23 power tour. There's a lot of potential in that old girl.
"This things pretty far gone" as collectors and aficiondos are going woww that things in great condition and even has the rare side windows and they're intact!! What a find !!. 4speed no less !!
That could be a cool, nostalgic (and slow 🤣) road trip vehicle or weekend camping rig. Or a shaggin' wagon. Just needs carpeting, a futon or mattress, and privacy curtains for the front and rear.
One of my favorite. They don’t make them as good anymore.
Perfect POWER TOUR/Drag week resto mod cruiser!
I'm glad you're getting to these precious vehicles of your friend going again. I'm sure it would make him happy knowing they are being brought back from the brink. Ps loved the bus ep last week
My Dad had a 1961 GMC half-ton, short wheelbase pick-up with the 305 V6 that was converted to propane. that was a great truck. He drove it until 1970, and then he gave it to one of our farm workers who drove it for many years after that. That was the first vehicle I drove when I was 8 years old on our farm. I drove the truck slowly along the side of the road, and my Dad & my brother would walk along the side picking-up or putting-down irrigation pipe. I remember the floorboards were covered in a thin rubber, and during the summer the transmission hump (I sat in the middle when I wasn't driving) would get so hot that I couldn't put my bare feet down on it. Good times!
Keep it!!!, great conversation piece
That is one dope ass truck. The bores on that thing must be ginormous. 305 in a V6.
4.25"bore by 3.58" stroke. The largest bore was the 478 V6 at 5.125"
Would definitely make a badass camper hauler
Runs good for a 60 year old vehicle!! Nice smooth idle. Way to go Isaac!!
Outstanding overland project! 4X4 conversion man!
Beautiful old truck and she's deffinitely worth saving
Cool. Always liked the panel truck's. 🤘😎🇺🇸
Those 305 V-6 GMC engines are damn near indestructible. The truck is rough but it is definitely worth saving.
that has a single master cylinder to the brakes so if you have a bad brake line you have no brakes, the other side on the master cylinder should be for the clutch IIRC
edit I posted this before the end of the video. get it ready for the next Power Tour!
Definitely a keeper.. Very cool.
I say make it the official Cars and Cameras toy hauler!
Definitely seeing this as a road trip vehicle. Set it up as a cruiser/camper and pull a trailer with your Car and Cameras toys. You may want to put a few modern utilities (power disc brakes, high power alternator for all the on board goodies you can install) on it but the body style would really let it stand apart. It needs the 'It'll Be Fine' logo on the side done conservatively. That should really be a keeper! Keep up the good work, love these videos.
Was hoping you'd do a vid on this one soon. My vote would be a rat rod toy hauler.
I'd seriously be tempted to use this as a daily driver. Do what it needs to make it roadworthy and then tidy it up as you use it. Could be a very handy vehicle, good sized van.
ISSACH THIS NEEDS TO BE THE NEW ITLL BE FINE CARS AND CAMERAS NEW ADVERTISMENT/TOY HAULER FOR THE ROAD TRIP GET TOGETHER GATHERINGS YALL COULD FIT MANY TOYS IN IT AND STILL PULL A TRAILER... FOR REAL BUB...BAD ASS TRUCK......CONSIDER IT, WOULD BE NICE VIDEO AND PROJECT TOO....THIS TRUCK HAS A DESTINY..........10 BIRDS ONE STONE..IT WOULD BE SOOOO RAD
You got that right that's a great idea
thats pretty much what i was thinking to make it into a rat rod and putting a 383 in it
Scream much, holy! Lock Cap warrior !
No
I love those little side windows, cool truck!
I love this truck. If you decide to sell let me know bud I'll make a real offer.
I like the Noah's ark themed seat covers those are so cool never seen them before
Something about these videos is very calming and relaxing
It's Ike. He's just a laid back, likable Southern gentleman.
man everything from this yard i want in my yard
Including the swamp and the wasps?
@@donellmuniz590 hey man that's how you know you got a good deal
And now the hinges smell terrible ! lol Love those old V6's .Very cool and rare indeed. Classic Truck Rescue on you tube may have parts if needed.
"Inherited from the same friend" Just don't let anyone look in your basement.
That’s the perfect road trip vehicle for a load of mini bikes
Damn! I was suprised that it ideled too! What an amazing video! You should make it like a maintanace/utility vehicle. What about making the whole side openable? :D Amazing work, keep it up!
Absolutely! Not so many trips back and forth for tools, air, batteries and fuel. Great idea.
Love older GM everything lol that panel van deserves at least a soft reto mod bring it back too life give that engine some love i think its unique .....
Isaac, why did you jump back when you opened the hood -- afraid that V6 was going to grab you and chew you up? LOL
Critters.
more bee's wasps sine it been sitting in one place for a long time.
That is a keeper. Need to fix this one up. So rare to find one of these nowadays in any decent shape.
U cant hardly kill one a those ole jimmy V-6's,,, just as strong as a mule,,,!!
By northern rust belt standards that truck is in amazing shape for how old it is ... I'm in ny .. and if that truck sat threw winters here it would be rotted .... truly a gem worth restoring to someone
That’s a beautiful truck. Convert the rear into camper/accommodation for taking out to mini bike and gokart events!!👍🏻
Great music, thanks! what I want when I am getting some of my beaters running!
Hey Isaac I am a fellow wrecker in my 30 years of truning wreches. I use finger nail polish remover. For locked up engines.
What a score. I have never seen one of those panel trucks with those upper windows on the sides, so cool. Never seen a six with heads and plugs in that configuration either. Too bad the red was painted over, but whatever, that is a clean for the year body all the way.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hell yeah cars and cameras shop/haul truck. Definitely cool man, please hook that thing up.
That's a keeper, fix it and drive it whenever possible.
Hell yeah brother. Great job.
Maybe have a chest cam and tripod so we can see what ya doing up close. Man I love the ole adventures!!
Awesome! That panel truck would make a good mobile parts warehouse. Then you could have parts and tools at the ready when you go back and forth to your different properties. It could also be a great way to transport the Go Karts that you and John build.
That GMC is a keeper.
That GMC is way too cool to not get restored. Find someone who will fix the rust, put a proper engine in, and make a truly cool resto-mod out of it. That thing is wicked!!
Your so blessed. I’d love to have vehicles that I could just tinker with. I’m a old mechanic who is retired due to disability so I don’t get to do that kind of stuff anymore. Your friend loved you for sure to leave you all those memories to make. Thanks for sharing with us. Can’t wait to see all the things you bring back running condition. Love the old trucks
It's a perfect Issac it'll be fine rig.. put tool boxes along the back, and use it to drive around to the cars your fixing, so you don't have to keep running back to the shop... parts getter everything, with a big logo on the side, perfect....
Isaac love the channel. Get rid of all the boats get all the cars to yours .and look at them until you get time to fix them
Make a great Go-Kart meet greet ride. Put stuff inside it's secure, closed dry environment.
I was told in the mid 60's that the V6 was made to be either a diesel or a gas engine. That's why the spark plugs are where they are. The hole could also be used for a fuel injector. I don't believe they ever made them as a diesel for whatever reason but they were popular as gas engines. Wonderful old truck and it would be great to see it repaired and used. I had a few of them over the years.
The 351 and 478 versions of the gasoline V6 had a diesel version called the Toro Flow. The 637 V8 also had a diesel version.
Your friend obviously took care of his vehicles before he passed. All of the videos I have watched you get his vehicles to start!
Good Job. I Love those old panel trucks or vans what ever you call them they look so cool to me.
Awesome, thats a keeper, not many Big Block GMC V6's around. Those engines have some interesting features. like a camshaft oil bath reservoir to keep the cam lobes well oiled. its in the same family as the GMC V8's and V12's .
Great truck, fix it up and use as a service truck. Coll as hell!
Wow 305 V6 wow very nice never knew they made them that is very awesome my friend
That,s a v-6 big block 4.250 bore that will make a good cruiser or rat rod . Still a pretty cool panel truck the way it is to drive like it
1960/1961/1962 Chevy/GMC Trucks...are my absolute favorite. Thanx Isaac, and greetings from Germany... but this is for testing purposes only. It’ll be FINE,
Dude,, that's a rare survivor truck. Hang on to that.👍
Great truck. Must have been a wonderful friend. Sorry you lost him.
Perfect for hauling tools & a go cart.
That truck is so cool! Please give it some love! My Boy Blue!
The first vehicle i ever drove ( other than tractors) was my dad's '62 GMC 3 door Suburban, 1/2 ton with the V-6 and 4 speed. that was 1970 when I was 12. The hood had a black spot in the middle of it from the needle valve sticking and the carb catching fire. There was a rock under the seat to whack the carb with once you got the fire out! You know how mechanics are... they'll work on everybody's rig but their own. Wish we still had it, but it's long gone. If I had this one i'd set it up for camping. plenty of room for a bed with storage underneath.
Hell yeah Isaac i wanna see that puppy drive down the road!
This GMC would be an awesome mini bike hauler IMO
cool panel truck wow. a good daily driver.
Keep it and keep them seats , absolutely love it , would make a good camper
Couldn't help but notice the wine tipped in the ashtray....same. Just an awesome video though, I hope to see more of this rig , thanks Ike.
Nice truck, like how that old engine runs👍
Love those, my dad had a 65 when I was little.
I really like your truck! Too bad your friend didn’t leave it looking like a fire department truck but I still love it. I was a volunteer firefighter for several years, I’m partial to fire department stuff though. I hope we see more of that truck! Love your channel!
Thanks
Would be so cool to fully restore this
Love the look of this old van
That Panel Truck is AWESOME! I am so jealous, I love the look of those old GMCs! Good luck with it!
