I remember when my local Toys R Us was hosting it's closing sale and there were rows of that weird sprinkle Optimus figure given that it was out of a flawed mold from DOTM being the voyager class figure, it was quite a shelfwarmer.
Yeah this thing apparently sold incredibly poorly
@@DrLockdown and yet still sold out faster than rose tico
@@darknessmechainvader4960 It's still a popular character.
Rip toys r us unless your canadian
I don't miss it. It was always overpriced and located in the most difficult places to reach.
And half the time Australia didn't even get the exclusives anyway.
Honestly as someone whose first Optimus prime was the dark of the moon Voyager I can confirm that he has always never rolled well
Darn
I had the fire last version, and, he has like 1-2mm of clearance in the exact right little spots where he'll roll alright, the rest, he doesn't roll well.
Well I'll have to see. After half the comments telling me to get th fireburst version, I ended up ordering one.
I also got that figure, its one of my first figures and it broke within months, the rubbery swivel joint broke without forcing it tooo much.
I remember using the gas canisters as a jet pack as well as cannons. It wasn’t that interesting/good visually but he was a very fun toy to play with.
The toy is fun to mess around, but god this version is hideous...
The only issue I have with this mould is the legs, unless bent in certain ways, prevent him from standing straight.
And the more accurate term is "curling arms".
Eh. I prefer inward elbow syndrome personally.

Now I want that Green Cybertron Prime. Rerelease the Seige figure in Legacy, they seem to just pick things randomly and use bad proportions to make something kinda cool. (I also want Armada Prime and Lio Convoy in that line too in a "not for easy retools" way kinda, thank you)
Probably too niche. It was a one off contest prize for a kid who made the colour scheme. If GUOP ever gets a redeco (which is unlikely at this point), they'll probably go for something simpler like a clear or 'galaxy force' deco (the red and black one)
@@DrLockdown It's a joke about how kinda random Legacy is. G1 characters no one cares about, Beast Wars (with mostly gimmiky recolors), G2 for some reason, butchered Prime designs, and apparently Armada Starscream soon. Also I feel that Victory Saber will be re released in Legacy sepertely as Star Saber and Victory Leo because weeaboos are insane and Hasbro likes money. Also I expect a Grimlock that transforms into the Red Dinozord from Power Rangers (or at least a retool of the 86 fig for that purpose) is soon-ish.
...rude.
@@DrLockdown Wasn't trying to. I am just being honest. Also I grew up with G1, Armada, and Prime becase I watchedthe former 2 on DVD. (And I heard that Gaxixy Prime is kinda bad)
As someone who owns the Fireburst Optimus redeco, I can greatly recommend it, being a “non-canon” redeco makes the differences to the source material much more easy to accept, because by design it is NOT trying to be accurate, which really lets the figure stand on its own merits.
The deco is fantastic and the weapon looks sinister, they perfectly compliment each other in a kinda Nemesis Prime way, SPECIALLY if you do what I did and remove the blue paint from the eyes to let the evil burning orange eyes lightpipe through.
The original DOTM prime was the same too. They did so many accurate ones, so that version was trying to be something different
I’ve found this figure for pretty cheap, I might get it just to give the weapons to Fireburst Prime.
I'm just getting fireburst prime instead
Last year I got the original color of this mold at a garage sale. It was missing the canisters and some other panels. I don't think it's worth chasing those parts to restore it, so I'm thinking of reshelling it using a toy truck of appropiate size and make it into a Bayverse version of Ginrai or Ultra Magnus or something.
I own two copies of this figure (had to keep one sealed for memories of working at toys r us til closing), and mine fit together perfectly save for the top of the cab, and rolls beautifully, but people's milage on this figure greatly vary
You're so far one of two people who've said that. Seems a bit wonky on the QC, of there's a trick you need to do. Someone mentioned it but I haven't tried it yet
Ah yeah, I remembered this weird exclusive. Even saw it being sold very cheap at Sainsbury's. Almost picked it up as it was that cheap, but instead went for the Bumblebee Movie Titans Return Leader class Soundwave for £11 (compared to it's £55 price tag).
Yeah better choice. That ones not bad. Not fantastic either, but better than this garbage
The wheel transformation also reminds me of the DOTM deluxe toy. Just the way it folds in half I always thought was really neat.
I feel like for me he’s got the sorta “so bad it’s kinda good” vibe. I might try my hand at doing a custom with one of the ss moulds committing more to the splatter and orange bit, or just get an actual copy of the thing since I find it neat
I'd still go for one of the originals. This thing can be quite a headache to look at
this mold means alot to my childhood
The poptart hood is hurting my eyes when ever I see this poor truck mode dear god
Yeah recording was a pain. Had to stop at multiple times. It's not good to look at
got this one as one of my first exclusives because I thought he was so unique.
Something I love about the legs on this figure is that the sihlouette is actually by a lot the most accurate to the movie design, thicker in the lower legs with it gradually getting thicker, not even the mpm gets this right
So glad to see your back from your short hiatus
I never was on hiatus. I'm just putting out fewer videos due to university.
Well I’m still happy to see a brand new drlockdown video pop up!
He's a perfect match for the Cybertron Con 2012 exclusive, the over-the-top space camou patterns paired up with that Universal Studios Singapore tribal tattoo trailer fixes the weird issue that the original figure was not at all different in any way from the non-exclusive release.
I'm gonna call this guy "Fireblu Optimus Prime" because that gimmick and the robot mode chest remind me of the "FIREBLU" wall texture from DOOM.
Man what a trip down memory lane, I had this mould back during dark of the moon
Even though TLK was horrible, Most of my childhood was in that era, which means the toys have a very special place in my heart, (Seeing as I was 6 or 7 at the time)
I always thought exclusives were a welcome surprise and ways to get something that never really would've been possible, like many of the diaclone style figures we had...But man am I glad we moved away from the ones like this Optimus. This was an awesome way of showcasing the dillemma with em and I really liked it!
One thing I was wondering is how rare are exclusives likely to get reissued, such as Netflix Soundwave and etc.? I remember he was Walmart exclusive but I do imagine many wanted him over the non battle damaged Legacy version, myself included despite my enjoyment of the original Siege one.
A recent Q&A (only open to big websites) confirmed that exclusives are licensed out to stores. This means the store has full rights over the figure for a certain period of time. Until that contract runs out, Hasbro cannot release it as a mainline figure. Not sure how long each contract lasts for, but I imagine the ones that are being scalped have contracts that last for years.
This is why I'm suggesting Hasbro ask stores to restock exclusives. People still want them, so they'd sell well. My guess is they don't care though: they'd rather have new toys and forget about old ones.
I remember getting that thing. Broke about two months later as clear plastic did its thing
I remember getting this when Argos was selling them off cheap. I had no idea that the weird panels of color were a gimmick, there was no mention of it on the box, Maybe it was mentioned in the instructions but I can't remember. All I remember was giving his Sword and Shield to POTP Grimlock and he went into storage.
Lot of people wanted the weapons for Grimlock it seems
Interesting figure, even though I'm still perfectly fine with my 2007 Leader & Voyager for Movie Primes (much as I'm tempted by the Allspark Power First Strike Prime from an era where G1 nods hadn't gone overboard like they have been for a good 3-5 years at time of writing).
As for exclusives, I'd *_much_* rather they stick around so long as A] figures get at least one carrier for brick-&-mortar stores (I prefer to get figures in-store when possible and have no confidence in doing any shopping online) because options & competition helps keep these things from scalpers, and B] re-releases for exclusives are guaranteed (for the same reasons as above); also, I'd love to see projects from HasLab hit shelves as well as more uses of older molds - I honestly miss a lot of the funky mid-to-late-line redecos & retools/"partials" that were present in the 2000s & early '10s (great way to get good molds in unexpected but fun color schemes without going overboard like G2 or the like did on occasion).
Anyway, another solid video, Keep Up The Good Work!
Only three TLK figures I have are voyager Prime, Megs, and the AOE Bumblebee repaint. Megs stand proud in my collection because he’s absolutely the best fig to come from TLK.
That's got to be the longest use of Resetti's music in a video yet.
Lol. I only bust it out for the dumbest of toy nonsense.
Although it switches to groose's theme halfway through
Tbh I would love to own that figure. Looks so weird it's fun 😂
I believe the solar panel detailing and rocket boosters were originally meant to tie into the NASA story elements. (Though the race car window netting on Bumblebee toys of the time remain unexplained. Probably a scene involving the Wreckers at Nascar that was cut before filming)
Ooh, you could be right. Apparently a lot was changed, especially in the ending.
25:08
‘Hey, VSauce, Micheal here.’
thank you for helping me figure out what this toy i had was. i found it just in a junk bin in my garage and it used to be the only transformer i owned. i have no recollection of purchasing it, must've been a gift hahaha
The robot mode deco looks like he was painted with the Fireblu Doom texture lmao.
I don't know what that is
The reveal the shield stuff in the US were TRU exclusives
I vividly remember an aisle full of them and getting Primus and the Infernicons
Ah K. My mistake
@@DrLockdown it’s all good, also Laser Prime’s side bit isn’t tabbed in correctly in that one shot lol
Lol. My bad
Ahhh, hunt for the decepticons Hailstorm, my beloved.
He's one of the bots I had lying around, as most of my collection is in a storage facility. I make do with what I have.
@@DrLockdown he's a joy like the other figures from the line, only just recently found my copy in my attic.
I got it for free from a friend, and never thought much of him. Said friend asked for him back, so I gave him back. Then he changed his mind and gave it back to me. Now that he has a funny story to him, I think I'll keep him.
Yep, 100% buying this. Lol. These were toysrus exclusives here I believe and I only ever saw it on shelves once
...I beg you...don't do this to yourself...
@@DrLockdown hehehe. Tfcon is next month, it's now been added to the list
If you REALLY must, there are cheap ones on eBay. Really no need
Making the toy itself the tech spec card is a creative idea.
Problem is not every creative idea is a good idea. Just ask Hangrees.
I used to have the original version of this figure as a kid, and yeah, the vehicle mode was frustrating. It barely seemed like it fit together. I always found myself readjusting the exhaust stacks and trying to force the hood of the truck to stay down only for it to pop back off.
It was actually when I realized that the quality of the figures were taking a dip in quality. Technically, if it wasn't for how frustrating the figure was, I wouldn't have put in the effort to take advantage of the new freedom I had to use the family computer and find out about the Takara MP line.
the original dotm version does roll well either, I just wish he didnt have the wheels on the inside of the arms, they fuck with the elbows
Yeah they clearly didn't think people would bend the elbows forwards, given the way it's designed
I'd love to see some 3P company take this transformation scheme and tidy it up so that way it's more film accurate, I feel like they could definitely find a way of doing it
At least the way the legs work. That would be neat
i have the original dark of the moon version and its a mold issue for the rolling.
my copy rolls perfectly.
One of the rare ones. Most comments cite ones that don't
Hey Dr lockdown, I just wanted to say that your videos always help me falling to sleep. Even the diagnosis insanity videos. This isn't meant negative, but more in a nice way
I have the mechtecj Fireburst version
He rolls good but only if I massage it together in a way where the right back wheels sort of levitate above the ground
(In general he was so hard to keep from one side untabbing that I had to use boiling water to fix it)
I've heard that works on a few copies, but none have been tested on this version of the mould. I'm definitely checking once I get home
“Kids are cruel megatron, and I’m very in touch with my inner child”
-Shield Optimus Prime
...that or the sundowner 'maxor' saying
As someone who owned the Fireburst Optimus:
For its time, it definitely did its job at being a fun figure. I was never a fan of the gun mode of the MechTech weapon (barrel was way to skinny imo). I remember popping off the gas canisters and popping them into his hands and pretending he had the jetwing weapons.
It also helped that you could *kind of* make him hold the axe at an angle, but I’d advise against that if you ever do get him. I noticed that it cracked the arms somewhat. Nothing extreme, but still noticeable.
Also, that shield seriously gives me vibes of the one that came with the Oversized TFP Beast Hunters Cyberverse Optimus.
2:17 Ohhhhh my god. I *_loathe_* this figure. Mixmaster had one of the most tedious transformations I’ve ever had the unfortunate luck of experiencing.
Yeah tried it once for a couple of minutes and gave up. So glad the studio series one exists
I actually have the fireburst prime. His leg joints completely disintegrated, and the screw used to hold the crotch together stripped, leading to using pliers and and glue to fix it
Christ...
@@DrLockdown it's not pretty but now he can stand so I see it as a win
Humorous reviews from a guy who also watches ceno0, subscribe time
Cen0 is a beast
If you do ever pick up Fireburst Optimus Prime, I recommend also getting Cyberfire Bumblebee ,also from DOTM, as his and the Fireburst Prime's paintjobs complement each other nicely.
I've seen that. Not particularly interested TBH. I've already got a lot of bees from studio series. I'm good.
I dont have this specific deco, but I do own the original release of the mold from DOTM. In regards to the Rolling, the problem with said rolling comes in the ratcheted hip joints. Also the fact that the roof tabs aren't fully tabbed in, which raises the rear wheels just slightly, bringing the knees down just enough to hinder rolling by clashing on the surface its rolling on. The way to solve it is pinch the sides of the Cab, and push the bed of the truck mode down until the sidepannel tabs on the truck cab slit into the roof. If done correctly, the entire truck cab should be flush, and the rolling should be smoother.
Another small bit of advice when it comes to robot mode is that the Back panels that make up the sides of the truck cab do have a system that locks them in place, and all you have to to is take the parts connected to the canisters, flex them ever so slightly inward, and then continue rotating them just further than you can normally, this has the tube of the smoke stacks being held up by the top peg that pegs into the roof of truck mode. This should keep the backpack solid in a majority of cases. You can even go further than that since it's on a pin, but the consequence of going too far is that the canisters stick out too far, but my child self simply fan moded that obtrusiveness into extending the canisters and rotating them on their ball joint until they're over prime's shoulder to act shoulder cannons.
I'll try it when I get home, and if it works I'll eventually correct it if I ever review the mould again
I remember having fire burst prime, and the legs were EXTREMELY loose..
Hoping that's just a QC issue and my (potential) eventual copy is better
Owned the of dark of the moon voyager prime and back then I could never get it to roll well even after trying a little recently
What Off-road Bumblebee variant is that showed early in the movie when you were talking about Hasbro simplifying the transformations?
That's the recently released studio series nest bumblebebee. It's a redeco that came out roughly last month. Pretty sure it's still on Amazon
One of the select few exclusives imported by Hasbro Korea. The accessories are the only saving grace and reason I ordered it on sale.
Even before I lost the sword, I never liked the accessories. They seem so halfarsed
If I didn't know better, I probably would've thought this figure was some kind of dollar store knock-off.
My first Optimus Prime was the DotM voyager (and yes, I still own him to this day! Though hia mech tech blaster has been lost sadly), i can confirm, he doesn't roll great.
Seems to be what most people say
I remember that my sister's got me the lava version of this figure and I loved it I still do and I even made a trailer for it
They did a fireburst version in the cyberverse scale too, so that one also had a compatible trailer, even if you had to buy it separately
I have this version NIB and it's an awesome color variant 🔥
I bought the regular retail release of dotm Optimus off of Ebay, still an awkward figure, but it still rolls like a dream.
Oh gosh I remember this mold… I had the original DOTM release and boy I hated it… I got the DOTM bumblebee deluxe (not the nitro bumblebee version) that same day from toys r us and I loved that figure to bits! I still have that one too! The prime… I do not. The DOTM prime just would never tab in on the front or the roof in truck mode. Plus I always felt it looked weird with the strange solar panel details on the hood and roof…
I admittedly have a lot of nostalgia for the base mould, but I do think this was the first Bayverse Prime to really nail the CG model's athletic proportions at anything below Leader price. But this deco? Yeesh.
(Also as a former Fireburst owner I heartily recommend that one, it's pretty hot.)
Maybe one day. Depends on the price
I do tend to like weird and wacky figures, I like 2 of the 3 bay movie dinobots that I've got, but this prime just did not do it for me. Technically the first mechtech release and the fireburst repaints, picked up partly cause I was trying to fill out a DotM mechtech collection and wanted the weapons. Pretty much all your complaints about the odd proportions, weird joint placement, and heavy amounts of kibble were part of my issues too. The gas tank swing arm things especially cause of not plugging in at all. Did sell both of them so unfortunately can't offer you the fireburst one if you still wanted it, did keep the weapons though cause I liked mechtech stuff.
This falls under the category of "Yeah, it's objectively terrible, but I kinda love it for some reason".
I still want this mold
Get Fireburst.
20:35
Now this, this is what I actually do with the KO DOTM Optimus Prime figure I have
i kinda want him??? hes goofy and silly in a way thats really appealing to me for some reason
i have the first live action movie leader Optimus, and it's vehicle mode is 100% accurate to the actual truck, it's crazy
I have both 07 and 09. Reckon 09 has the better truck mode out of the two.
@@DrLockdown I only have the first and fourth leaders
When it comes to exclusives I think it should be a mix, for example, repaints of characters that wont sell, okay, characers from diaclone, okay, but under no circumstances should a characters first nice outing be exclusive to amazon
Yeah it's really dumb. Although I'm not expecting it to be that great, glad SS86 is doing Ironhide and ratchet again.
@@DrLockdown wait
Realy? Does that mean we will get a version with not shitty wheels and improved... Pretty much everything?
From the ground up apparently, if the leaks are anything to go by
Would you be interested in my fire burst prime? I'll have to make sure I still have it. The coloring and the leg transformation were pretty cool, even though I hate his arms torso and gas tanks. The gorilla arms make it very easy for him to hold the ax with both hands though
No thanks. Found a few
I was on the hunt for this and Cybertron I never seen this anywhere at my toy's r us
They're clogging up eBay at the moment. Even when they were on store shelves, I don't think they sold very well
I can kinda get what these parents are trying to say, but then again the movies had over complex transformations, if you ask me those ROTF toys might as well be a simplified version of those transformations, plus weren't there animated toys on stores durring ROTF or the legend class figures? atleast we have the 1 step changers to shut them up
It's weird how much a bad deco can change how you feel about the figure. I have the... I wanna say Fire Burst repaint of this figure from back in the day, it was literally my first Optimus, and I still LOVE the figure. He's a little fiddly, but once he's properly squeezed together, the alt mode looks really great imo, and having an axe he can hold with both hands is always a bonus. This thing though? This is...... awful.
I can see the moments of brilliance shining through, but the paint is really fighting against it. Still kinda want the fireburst version, but I'll wait and see if it ends up cheap on Facebook one day
This mold is so nostalgic to me, got the DOTM version around its release and becoming my definitive movie prime until the buzzworthy rotb toy. Nowadays I see that it’s a flawed toy but I still can’t get myself to dislike it.
I owned premier edition drift and it is a lot more harder to transform
I wasn't around the figure fandom at the time of this Prime's release, though I was still excited about the Last Knight. (In retrospect, a terrible movie, but still my Transformers guilty pleasure). That said, this figure is kinda wonky, looking at it now.
I do have two questions I was wondering if you could answer. Firstly, in regards to Bayverse Prime, do you have any opinions on DotM Ultimate Prime? I found an opportunity to get him relatively cheap, and was wondering if you think he's worth getting.
Secondly, a weirder question. Since its release, I noticed you haven't put the Best of 2021 list in your "Reviews" playlist, even with the Worst of 2021 in there. Is there a reason for that? (Don't know why I've thought about this that much, but alas, I have...)
Oh. Whoops. Must've done that by accident. Thanks for notifying me :P
And as for ultimate Prime, I always thought it looked bad. Didn't interest me as a kid and especially with the existence of the studio series version, it doesn't interest me now. I know some peeps have nostalgia for it though
@@DrLockdown Thanks for the response. I'll take that into consideration.
Any time. Always happy to help
Man its kinda weird hearing someone say thats the TLK Primus is a grail, because in the US ToysRus were all shutting down and I got myself one for only 75 dollars online with free shipping. But like always great review and im still glad I skipped the TLK reveal the shield Optimus Prime.
Never released down under, and to be fair my big expensive grails (keroro Starscream, Eva Convoy and hybrid style galaxy convoy) were all ticked off last year. My remaining grails are much cheaper.
@@DrLockdown No I know and im glad you got your more pricey grails done. It was just funny to hear, its a great recolor but most people didnt get him bc of the color scheme or they had the original cybertron Primus already. I love him and always have him on display.
I dig the colours, moreso than the OG. I found the original somewhat bland in comparison. This one's like 'G2 Primus'
I can excuse a figure not looking accurate if it looks accurate enough or looks cool despite being super inaccurate. I like how voyagar Megatron looks skinny, makes him look like a zombie skeleton. I like SS Scourge’s design more than the actual design because it looks cool.
This Optimus prime design, not so much, to me it just looks way too weird, out of proportion due to the huge limbs and tiny body.
Parents definitely had a point about ROTF figures (though not all of them of course) but certain DOTM figures like voyager Prime were a rough transition for sure
At least it paved the way to better conversions
@@DrLockdown Absolutely! Some (Starscream and Ratchet) doing so well that their SS versions ended up borrowing quite a lot
Yeah I was really happy when I found out they were reusing the old Starscream conversion. Loved that toy as a kid
@@DrLockdown Same!
I had him, he rolled fine
This figure can be described as just why
Why the clear plastic
why all the balljoints
why the confetti paint
why the inconsistency of what is clear plastic and what isn't
and most importantly
WHY DOES THIS THING EXIST!?
Laziness. That is the answer to all those questions
@@DrLockdown yeah probably
Also now I can't get the parmesan song from America's got talent out of my head
seeing this is kinda funny cuz i have the DOTM one and it is the only movie prime i have so i like it and then i see you bully it
Not the base moulds fault. It's simply this deco
Looks like prime suffers from the scarlet rot.
Or cosmic rust
Still love the original g1 series and don't mind the current series so far so good
I kinda want those clear weapons for SS86 Grimlock. Mold looks fine but that Fireburst is awesome and definitely is on my hunt list.
(Also FB gun axe reminds me of that post in which Mark used Blaster gun with L: Arcee blades for energon axe combo)
If you want stuff for Grimlock, i recommend the sword from nonnef. Works fantastically
@@DrLockdown Oh thanks, will check it out later.
not trying to "uhm actually" you at all but thought it would be funny to mention that when you were talking about Super Robot anime both of the clips you used were from what's commonly referred to as "Real Robot" where Super Robot is more stuff like Gurren Lagann or Getter Robo haha
Eh. They're all mechs.
@@DrLockdown mmhm yea the distinction isn't that important unless you're really into mech stuff i just thought it was kinda funny
why was this easy to find when I couldn’t find Earthrise Thrust
As stated in the end of the video...nobody wants him.
IMO I think exclusives should just be more obscure characters or paint jobs that die hard fans would know (Hauler, Road Rage, G2, Shattered Glass, etc)
Fortunately that's how things are at the moment. Doesn't look like they're going to pull an Earthrise any time soon
@@DrLockdown What do you think of the new Velocitron Blurr
Torn. Some of it looks great, while other parts don't.
Still deciding whether I give it a shot
I like exclusives yeah they can be a pain to get a hold of and you may end up paying double for a figure you already have but you can get a rare/obscure character or just a plain better figure over all however, when it come to crappy repaints of figures no one wanted that’s where I draw the line mediocre figures getting a repaint can sometimes make them better but trash figures getting trash repaints are useless
Yeah sometimes it's annoying. Legacy sandstorm fantastic, but I know the base mould is terrible. Breaks my heart
I'm all for exclusives. Even if obtaining them may be hard, I'd rather these more obscure characters exist as toys than not exist, as I will find a way to get them one way or another. I'd be lying if I said I'd be happy to go without.
How did you even Manage to get the Eva Prime ?! Theese go for like a 1000 bucks !
Carousell Singapore. Only paid $350
Question: Will you review the Lego Optimus Prime?
Potentially. Depends on how things play out.
Why do some parts look like they’re broken glass? This make it the Literal shattered glass Optimus Prime
With all the clear plastic it's a wonder none of the pieces actually shatter
This hurts my eyes.
What is this deco?! The roof and the top of nose is messing with my brain! What were the designers thinking?
They weren't. It was laziness
I could see that with the plastics, but the tech specs on the top is the gimmick. I’ve actually never been into tech specs that much, but seeing it on the physical figure is a recipe for hurting my brain, and it doesn’t help that it looks like sand seen through a thermal camera.
It's something they pulled out of their arses to fill the line.
God, sometimes you have to take a step back and think about how strange every movie toyline post-DotM has been. Even Rise of the Beasts is shaping up to be a freak show, with its Maskformers, Targetmasters, and botched semi-release in another toyline’s name!
Yep. That's what happens when you mess with a movie's release schedule.
Xenoblade has the same thing happening at the moment, although it's because the release was brought forward. As such, the special edition will ship the regular game first and the artbook later.
There's a problem. I'm not getting notifications, and I think it's because there's a channel called "doctor who lockdown"
I don't think the existence of another channel affects what I do personally. RUclips had always been bad with this stuff
The head looks like Optimus is wearing a cheap latex mask.
exclusives are fine as long as theyre still pretty easily available unlike some just being completely obscure stores people have never even heard of
That's the unfortunate thing: sometimes stores get licenses because there are no other options. You have to be smart about things when that happens, forming connections with people in those countries or using freight forwarders
@@DrLockdown yeah just saying its a shame you have to for a specific charscter you want for as close to retail as possible
Retail is a cruel world. It's either shelfwarming (which means more characters in that series are never done after) or exclusivity
@@DrLockdown yeah one of the shops i went to had like 8 SS 86 scourges warming there and like a month later they were still there lmao
Scourge sold out quickly here, but the sweeps stuck around for ages
Looks like a Sirtoys version
That's an insult to sirtoys KOs :p
Christ, this deco makes the figure look like a bootleg. And that's saying something when Asia's bootlegs have WAY better colour schemes.
Am I the only one noticing that the white piece around Artfire's head looks like it's starting to yellow?
Yeah there's a bit. Similar to the yellowing issue on SG Starscream. Not as bad though
@@DrLockdown That's unfortunate. Hopefully it doesn't get much worse.
Hasn't in several months. I think I'm in the clear
I’m fairly certain this video should have an epilepsy warning at the beginning because the colors of that figure made my body want to have a seizure.
The exclusives are a toss up they’re some amazing ones and some decent ones but they all have one thing in common, no matter what they’re bought in large quantities and sold for smooth brain princes on the after market
An unfortunate side affect of anything that sells. Even shoes get scalped.
Bloody shoes. It's absurd.
