So I"m a big fan of Earthrise so I have to disagree with most of those opinions, other then that I really enjoyed the video.
It's fine to like what you like.
That being said, most of the Siege versions of characters are definitely better than the Earthrise versions

Damn, after recently hearing how disappointing Earthrise, as a show and as a toy line is, I’m kind of glad the only ER Toy I bought was Optimus. Because man it’s Optimus, and he feels great!
Optimus is actually going to be on the best list.

@@_V.Va_ this man doesn't know what he is talking about, Earthrise is easily one of the best transformers lines of all time not only that siege had great figures, almost all of them are like mp or better, trust me when i say optimus is cool but the siege one is way better, the seekers are awesome, the new soundwave is amazing 😂 the optimus is alright but the new bumblebee and soundwave are great updates

And I prefer ER Optimus because I don’t like the Cybertronian aesthetic on vehicles.
@@_V.Va_ like I said sucks for you😂, I've seen every figure in the line and the only one that has broke on me was sheeldron, a micromaster with translucent ball joints on the legs, other than that my seekers are good all the primes are good, all the megatron's are good, even soundblaster and soundwave are excellent, you wouldn't know tho since you listen to what people tell you and don't go and see how good something is for yourself
BTW I'm getting a lot of comments about how Grimlock's crown fits in a specific way, and how Starscream's legs peg in.
I know. I've tried. My copies don't have that functionality. Guess I got buggered in the QC department.

I love the earthrise starscream.
You can put Grimlocks crown on it robot mode, the head has tabs that go up into it.
My copy doesn't have the tabs at all.

This cheered me up. Thanks. I like more Earthrise figures than Siege, but the parts-forming, “ramp-bots”, scarcity, and somewhat wasted potential, has made me hope for better figures in Kingdom.
From what I've got so far, it's looking pretty good.

I tried converting my Doubledealer from robot mode to bird mode... and one of his legs popped off. I managed to pop it back on, but now he’s just sitting there in bird mode, as I’m too scared to attempt to convert him to vehicle mode :(

I thought Decepticon Mirage had a good color scheme personally. It doesn't matter that this color scheme only appeared on screen for a second, he still looks good to me. I was expecting Decepticon Mirage to have a larger role in the show, like everyone else I think.
Oh I liked the colours too, it's just that it came out of nowhere.

They're new for the Takara one. Far as I gather they just sit at the back there
The only one I can really disagree with is the hoist/trailbreaker mold. I might be biased since trailbreaker is my favorite character but i think it's a great figure besides the visible hands in vehicle mode
Really wish I could find a replacement for my siege ironhide cuz my shoulders on him wore out and are not pose-able anymore

I wasn't so much disappointed with Exhaust as I was with the sticker upgrade kit from Toyhax. I was totally expecting the Marlboor (yes that's accurate) stickers like the Citanes decals we got for the Siege Mirage toy, but no. :-/
They were never going to do that I'm afraid. One of the designers lost their father to lung cancer, and as such the company refuses to endorse any cigarette company.
I get it, as I lost my grandfather that way when I was a kid, but yeah it is still disappointing.

"Issues with solidity"? You mean Starscream's knees? They have a tab behind them a lot of people missed (I would have too if I hadn't watched Emgo's review before buying it) that secures everything in place.
Yeah I didn’t even realise that it had a tab behind the leg for it to lock in place before watching ‘the lazy eyebrows’ review of the ER seeker mode. However, the point remains that it wasnt even obvious enough to know that starscream had a tab to make the legs secure, so yeah
I'm fully aware of the tab, and it still falls apart on my copy.

Honestly if I made Soundbarrier. Id've gone with a Venus flytrap mode capable of eating Micromasters, G1 Minibots, Legends Scale and any other small transformers toy by the closing flytrap head gimmick.

Nope. No parts are reused whatsoever, and the conversion of actually slightly different.
I know it's not gonna change anything and it's a very small detail but the crown on cyberverse grimlock does work in robot mode the tab just makes it have to go a specific way

just to tell you with tf2 soundwave you didn't miss much he's a brand new figure with a new transformation but his thighs are the same as tf3 soundwave (makes no sense as he's a satellite with a fuel cap) and his only accessory is a stand not even ravage kinda wish they gave the minicons some love so that we can have ravage frenzy and laserbeak and not just laserbeak but yeah thats what happens when hasbro gets cheaper but makes their figures cost more you get way less for way more
My only issue of roadbuster in studio series is the lack of weapons no chainsaw and no wrist guns
I cameoed! I kind of liked Grapple - maybe I just got a better copy, or I don't have as refined an eye, but mine seems pretty good. And I happen to have a fully assembled Orthia combiner ;) You MAY (or may NOT) be surprised to learn that Selects "Greenlight" is currently averaging around $200 on Ebay. You never can tell what's going to appreciate in value....

I love the Year of the Snake Ultra Magnus, it's a fun display piece and that blue is a sexy color even if it's completely inaccurate.
I got a G1 style Optimus Prime that looks good and didn't cost 500$, as far as I'm concerned 2020 was a great year for my collection... then again my Cybertron Downshift broke and he was awesome so I guess +1 and -1 still leaves me at zero...
"bad QC" *shows ER Grapple* I feel that one. first time transforming from vehicle to robot, a peg broke.....very sad. I feel the hoist one too, but I didn't have any breakage. I disagree with Starscream. the ER mold is FAR better than the WFC Mold, IMHO. CliffJumper was a decent toy imho, I don't mind parts forming

i have an potential idea hasbro could have used to make authentics ratchet a better budget figure
reworking the transformation so that the arms become part of the roof of the ambulance instead of it all folding into the legs allowing for the legs to have knees too and give him a 3rd plastic colour so he can have black wheels

I personally only had 2 bad experiences with eartrise. My first wheeljack couldn't transform cause of missasembaly and then arcee. Just arcee. Kingdom is looking promising tho. Also starscream is the reason I call myself a transformers fan bow after prime wars killed my passion so I am surprised that that toy is even mentioned
It's not a bad toy per se, but they killed one of the best Seeker moulds in existence with it just to be more 'geewun'

hearing the sheer hatred for Master Builder Athena has me terrified about the Master Builder Naval Commander. I need that update to Armada Optimus in my life, but if THIS is the material they're working with, I'll just wait to be crushed when Hasbro cancels their take.
From what I gather, its the only real stinker they've done. I'd still rather wait for the Takara prime though; I prefer the stylization. Wanna get the energon one though

I'm not a fan of Megatrons with complicated transformations. My 3 main Megatrons in my collection are Combiner Wars Leader Megatron with DX9 upgrade set, Siege Megatron, Titans Return Megatron.
You know what will be cool and most definitely won’t be happening. If hasbro gets there stuff together and re released all the exclusives into all the stores such as ER soundwave, bumblebee, seekers and cone heads, prowl and blue streak, rachet ( getting rid of the medic) and runabout
Sadly I doubt they'll do that. The problem isn't the fans; it's the average consumer. I think most of the exclusives wouldn't sell at regular retail.

I have the Takara Adventure Ultra Magnus retool of Powerizer Optimus (Prime RID voyager) and I have to say that he's leaps and bounds better than the Platinum version.
The Quintesson judge is a perfectly serviceable quintesson,
you just just shouldn't treat it as a transformer, it really didn't need to include a half baked base mode.

One of the worst Transformers figures I got last year was Studio Series Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave. Lazy design, lazy transformation, and it's overall of the most boring figures I've ever seen.
Thank you for defining the exact thoughts I have had over this years earthrise and excellent point about how the pandemic caused a lot of the delays and shortages along with the explanation of why some kingdom figures to me should have been earthrise.
What especially hit close to home was
1. I am still waiting for my earthrise soundwave I have had to pro order for an extra £20 from a skum bag scalper
2. I have literally looked high and low for the cone heads and can’t find
3. Just like in the 80s, but for different design problems I just feel so let down by earthrise iron hide. Will they ever get g1 earth iron hide any good?

It's not that the Earthrise figures were bad molds, they were fantastic. Just the qc was terrible, and the god damn exclusives.
