My lma's started getting a bit noisy on my b16a2, I have never even removed a valve cover, but your video made it seem like a fairly simple job that even I could manage by myself, kudos!

Man i could have used this when i did this on my db8 over the winter. Excellent work. I went with science of speed's kit instead of the skunk2s.

I really like the product i got. i did some research on one of the forums, Honda tech i believe, and there were a few complaints with the skunk2 ones. Not to say that all of them are bad, but i didnt want to take a chance and have to redo all this work again. i cant remember how much they were, but i got them right before Christmas so there was some sort of sale going on . I want to say they were the same price as the skunk2s.

Cool video. Made a b20vtec a couple months back. Your videos helped a lot. Mine makes a clacking noise near the injectors but inside the head, I think this might be it.
One thing though, the ground cable is in the wrong spot.
It was actually Honda that came up with the updated LMAs not skunk

Great video! I was wondering about when you zip tied the cam gear to the timing belt, but then the cam shafts you took out and the belt was still sitting there?
Great video. but I must be blind.. is the lifter under the lost motion spring? I can't tell which one u take off first..i seee u pull out the lifter but wheres the dam stock lost motion spring lol
i recently just did this and replaced my camshaft seals, and did water pump, timing belt and tensioner.. my issue is im now having my belt walk inwards towards the block.. 97 gsr integra, i made sure the cam sprocket is fine, and the shim is also on the crank.. any advice pleaseee before i rip out this motor and have a shop over charge me!!!

Hey, gotta question man, my b16a timing belt broke, I timed the motor, tdc, Since that happened I changed my lmas, so I had my cams out, went to install my cams and my crank moved and my cams don't seem to want to sit right, like they turn a little not with the arrow up and sit nice, but when I turn the cams to sit tdc they don't sit good. Is that ok just put the cam caps on it like that as long as the crank is tdc and cams are pointing up. Can you help me any.

Do they not make these kits for H series? All I can find is B series kits with no indication if they also work for H22A
You don't adjust the valve clearance?
I know it's an old comment but... Alot of people loosen the valves when disassembling and reassembling and then re adjust clearances to make it easier on the cams and have an easier time reseating the cam caps. it seems like they didn't bother doing that here. However any time i do this type of work i always go through the valves with my feeler gauges and re check the clearances to adjust if needed.
HELP! After installing LMA is a valve adjustment needed?? My car isn't starting, when trying to start it I get a loud back fire! ...checked the timing like 5 times. Not sure what to do

I tried everything it doesn’t even turn on if u manually turn it on I have oil pressure the solenoid works so idk what it is I just took the head back up because some one told be about a pin or something small like in the block it was there now someone says my lma could be bad please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the b16a on the stand next to the 12.7:1 forged built bottom n top end b16a3, both are motors for my eh2 cx hatchback from 1993' canadian model haha but I also have a ej8 with a stroked an .15 over d16y8 that's pretty fun an fast haha

Do you need the front lower torque or motor mounts b series eg? Not using a/c
Lucky Rooster they don't fit d series mounts are longer on the transmission side and I don't think they line up on the a.c. bracket
But are they needed? I see so many b series swaps not using them

My d15b is pissing me off right now...
Lucky Rooster mine has cooling issues as well and it makes no sense because we rebuilt the head put a new waterpump on a new thermostat and a newer radiator but the fan sensors don't work so I have it wired to a switch but somehow it still likes to get hot

jah jay under the hood fusebox is easy you just unbolt it then unplug it and it comes right out I think it's e or 4 10mm bolts ,the two Phillips head screws for the battery terminals and then pull it up and you have to take a flat head and pull a plastic cover off of the bottom to expose the plugs

Spark plugs in wrong order , I had the same issue with my b20 swap , cranked but blew a major back fire after a couple seconds

Don’t buy or use skunk 2 lma’s!!! They are juuunkkk!!! Stock lma’s maintain a stronger spring pressure. This guys going to learn the hard way once he scuffs up and ruins his rocker assembly 👎🏼
