    When you're doing a lot of hilly terrain, it is actually better to have a bigger sprocket. Bigger sprockets (more teeth) produce more torque. More torque = less effort to do more elevation changes. Although generally speaking, a _smaller_ sprocket will be better on range if the ride requires you to be flat out the whole time, which this seemed to require.

    • @theguyonyoutube1115
      @theguyonyoutube1115 Год назад +2

      I think he meant the he had a smaller sprocket on the motor. Since it's a hub motor, the smaller the sprocket you have, the more torque will be produced.

I wonder if you could hook light up to ignition like a car, turn key and the lights go off even if switch is on or off. THAT WAS FUN thanks for sharing.

    Enjoyed the video. You should look into upgrading your controller. I bought one from Lone Star Electrek. They will also program it for around 30$ . My RSF650 is running 60v a Kelly controller KVD7212NX ( FROM LSE) , 14 tooth sprocket. I hit 43 - 45 mph . I also out weigh you by around 100lbs. Check out their comments and my bike and review is there. I'm go to upgrade my Mx650 next.

    • @PatOutdoors

      Thank you for this! I've been looking at controller upgrade options because the Kelly controller just seems a bit complicated for me to learn how to program. My buddy Toan (the guy on the 84V long fast e-bike) actually is running a Kelly controller on both his projects, but took over a year to figure out how to get it running that fast and efficient. I'll look at the LSE controller option

  • @imfromwikipedia
    @imfromwikipedia 2 года назад

    You might want to look into getting a Kelly controller with a higher amp because the cheaper controller you have from the Kunray kit might be maxed out at 33A like the one I have. Since your battery is around 50A output your controller bottlenecks the performance. You could get 40+ out of the bike if you get a better controller.
