So, I bought this same mototec bike. I laughed at the piston stickers, and the sharp metal frame about to poke my eye out too. I weigh 180 and can bearly move up a little hill. I researched this motor and supposedly it can habdle 4500 watts. I ordered a 3000w speed controller and replaced the 1500w one and now this thing is actually some fun! for a mod of about 100 bucks. Just wanted to share. Thanks for these electric bike videos ✌
1500 W is a lot and can go up hills easily IF it is realy 1500 W. I bet it is not. Just look at electric scooters with 1500 W motors, they have absolutely NO PROBLEM going up any hill. This motor is not 1500W. but probably 100 or maybe 200W.
@@mirkogruden8362 suffers from the same thing most Chinese electric riding things do, undersize wire and controllers. The ATV he got had the same thing, they're controlled at the max continuous instead of the peak. Continuous is fine for like a pump motor that's going to run 24/7 for weeks on end, but for offroad vehicles you're looking at seconds at peak. Decent programmable controllers you can limit peak time and such so you can tune it not to burn itself up. This thing with a programmable 5000w controller would probably rip your nuts off.
I bought this bike for my taller than average 5 year old and it absolutely rips with him on it. He can compete with kids on 4 stroke 50cc's. I have made the battery hot swappable and installed taller gearing. Also did hydraulic mountain bike brakes(they are a direct bolt on). He won his first supermoto race on it!
You said maybe I should build one! Dude I'd like to see that because there are some amazing motors out there now! Maybe a SurRon Motor! That thing would fly
You already have a gigantic brushless motor on that one. And the chassis actually seemed fine. So you're one battery swap and controller away from having it ripping.

Technically the version of what you want does exist. There's the oset mx10, kuberg cross x-force pro 50, gasgas mc-e5, husqvarna ee-5, and the KTM sx-e5. Sure it's not going to have the seat height that you want, say from that pitster pro mxr 155 that you show in this video, but overall it's going to have better suspension than that ebike you unboxed in this video, and overall it's going to be on the really really high end of electric mini bikes in general. Another thing that I should add is that the five bikes that I mentioned are designed to race against gas powered 2-stroke 50cc race bikes. Therefore, if it's designed to be raced against equally sized gas bikes, then it can most certainly handle being used as a pit bike by both teens and adults. If you're going to do a video on the absolute most expensive electric pit bikes on the market, then I suggest you look at both the oset mx10 and the kuberg cross x-force pro 50, because they can be bought online and ship straight to your door. With the other three, you have to go to an authorized dealership in order to get your hands on one. Just a little suggestion.
Just took my first ride, got it today. I am 175lb, I was not expecting at all for it to go fast as it did. Very fun bike hope will last long. All road not hills, grass etc. just bought it to play with and rise with sons razor
Buy an onyx RCR cafe blaster. It’s electric and is stupid fun!!! Oh yeah and it will do 50+ mph with a decent range as well. Look forward to seeing you with one👍
We had a bike about that size we kept at my buddies and we shoves a 200cc 2 stroke out of a wrecked KTM in it and we took it everywhere out in the country. The gas station to get drinks, to the store to get groceries for dinner. Little bikes are the funnest thing to own
If anyone wants to get a great electric bike/pit bike that can go 25-30 mph, I would strongly recommend getting a razer mx650 or mx500 and adding another 12 volt battery and replacing the motor to a 1800w. I bought a kit on Amazon and there’s some great tutorials on RUclips. It’s a lot of fun!
Note there is a video proving that the 500 and the 650 are identical except for color and they just lie about different weight limits to rip you off on the 650.....
