Ducati Desert X | Pivot Pegz | Problems

I install Pivot Pegz on my Desert X to hopefully help my leg, It turns out they cause a few more issues for myself.

I love my pivot pegz. Have them on 3 bikes. Foot always stays planted. Kinda like standing on a motocross or mountain bicycle peddles. Standup riding is less fatigue

I have pivot pegz on my old bmw g650x challenge bike and they are good on it. The pegz are nearly always tilted forwards. I think the DDX might be a problem because im back in the seat and therefore pegs will likely pivot backwards. I think a larger seat to peg distance would help.

Yeah I think the springs need to be alot stronger.

Checkout lone rider pegs. You can change the rotation pins so you can get what you want. Rotate forwards but lock backwards.

Thanks for that I did look into them, unless they have changed them, it used to be 3 different rubbers or fully locked. Not optional to lock just the rear or front. And thats my issue. Its ok though OEM ones are comfortable enough. Hense why im giving these away.

@koalakoncepts you can mix it up if you want. So, you should be able to lock the rear rotation by using the solid pins to stop that, and the rubber pins for forward rotation. The way I see it, you should be able to lock just one direction if you want. I've been looking at them. I like that you can mix or match and lock all rotation. I'm not sure they have them for desert X, though. Might be worth contacting them. 👍🏻

@craigdixon439 The Desert X OEM ones are pretty good I was just after something with a bit more flexibility. I think im just going to stick with them.

You could also use steg pegz I guess for the back balance

I had Pivot pegs on my XT1200 and didn't like them either.

Yeah, they just make my leg hurt in ways its not supposed to.

These seem like it would be too easy to let the knees move forward. Therefore, promoting improper body position

Yeah, there was definitely too much movement for my liking. But some people love them, just not me.
