- Two weeks to go before I set off chasing the sun across Australia. With still lots to do and unsure if the new suspension will arrive in time it's a matter of lots of changes in organisation. Also another massive rain storm has hit the north of the country and the outback, which will possibly change the route I need to take.

Well, I guess I need to look at some back videos of yours. Did your suspension fail, or you just want to upgrade?
Just wanted an upgrade to handle the roads on the upcoming trip. I definitely found the oem limits on the last couple of trips.
It’s gonna be rad to see it come together again, I just got the uni filter installed today on my Desert X. How long have you ran it for to have it look like that? I just greased the plastic rim around the filter so I’m wondering if I should’ve gone and put grease around all the foam filters as well.
Thats had a pretty jard run through the desert for about 5k and before that did 10k to cape york and back, no dust is getting in. Dont put grease around the foam just use the filter oil.
@@koalakoncepts That’s a good testament for that filter’s performance I’d say.
Here in Scandinavia we’ve got nowhere close to as harsh fine dust but it’s nice to know those desmovalves will be kept as safe as possible.
@TheJaguar147 it will be due for the desmo service when I get back, so will find out if everything is working well then.

I like your channel. Just my opinion, but you really should show some of these processes. Instead of just talking about what you’re going to do. It’s helpful for those who have the DDX, especially if they don’t have much experience. If you have videos where you have detailed certain work then perhaps you can link to those videos.
I understand it is a little more work. Enjoy your trip.
