Hey brother! Sorry I'm really late on this and missed a LOT of videos. Sheesh. I can remember back in the day one of the kids in my school had a rigged up VW bug. Herbie came out and VW bugs were pretty big!
Does it have glow plugs? What was that noise when you shut it off? Only my knowledge.... most modern VWs require a wiring harness to fix 90 % of electrical issues. My sisters (my 09 rabbit) required a 275$ US, to fix all the issues. Excellent find...
If I were you I would replace the timing belt, tensioner and water pump first. This is an interference engine and belt should be changed every 40k miles. If the belt breaks it destroys the engine and you don't have to worry about the rest of the car. Great deal though.
Yes, I have been thinking about this. This car appears to have been neglected. It's definitely on the to-do list. I just want to get the suspension done and drive it a bit. Thank you for the feedback 👍
Wonderful sharing

I think it's still a score for $500 and well worthy of some new parts 😎👍

@@Whitecranekungfu Don't know yet, will find out soon I guess
@@Whitecranekungfu I have heard about dealer only stuff. I hate that. Apparently radio, seats etc the dealer has to program.

@@NathansMoparGarage Thanks Nathan !
Not bad for $500
@@EYE_SPIDER It's good !!! Boom 💥💥💥
Does it have a dsg gearbox or a normal automatic one?
I'm not sure, I'm learning as I go. It's auto but has a sport mode.
For 500 bucks you can sell the motor and make a profit
My thoughts exactly. But now I want to drive it 😄
