- Disney+ has many TV shows with Spanish audio and matching Spanish subtitles. And these are NOT about drug dealers! Are you listening, Netflix?
I explain the Transcription Technique in this video:
• The BEST way to improv...
At the moment, Language Reactor and GlotDojo do not work in Disney+. If you want to do a transcription exercise you'll have to pause and rewind manually.
Note: Many Spanish dubs are made in Mexico and some feature R-assibilation (R is sometimes pronounced as ZH or SH). This problem is not exclusive of Disney+; it also happens with Netflix movies. Avoid this if you want to develop a neutral accent. I explain R-assibilation in this video:
• Why do Mexicans pronou...

Hi! Disney+ has many more shows with Spanish subtitles marked as "[cc]", but sadly they don't match the Spanish audio. If you find another one that matches that I haven't mentioned, please comment.
The original bleach series has matching subtitles and dubbing.
What about Moon Knight?
thanks for the list! a few thoughts on the video though is: it's also important to remember that watching something with non-exact subtitles, and to watch passively rather than actively, is not useless, even though it's less effective, it takes less energy, so you can do more of it. after a hard day of work and you are exhausted for the day, you might not have the energy to watch something actively in the way you describe, you might just want to watch something passively before going to sleep, and in that case, it wouldn't matter if the subtitles are not exact, and that still has some benefit in learning, even if it isn't as much benefit.
Ohhhhh, that "Español (Latinoamerica) [CC]" is the trick (versus using the subtitles that just say "Español (Latinoamerica)." Thanks! I subscribed last month to Disney Plus specifically to do this, and had been disappointed that the subtitles never lined up. This is much better now.
Hi! Sadly, not every "Spanish CC" captions match the audio. The ones I mention are the only ones I've found which actually match perfectly.
The only thing is that I can’t make myself watch the same thing multiple times. I know it would have great benefits but after I watch it once, that’s it jaja
This is so helpful, thank you! I watched "We are no longer here" on Netflix but everything else is violent. Glad to have some good recommendations on Disney! Appreciate your work to find the ones that are exact subtitles.
I'm glad to help!
W❤W! That’s Perfectly Awesome! 🤗❤️✨
Thanks! Now I know.. [CC] is the way to go! I watched a lot of Netflix in Spanish with sub, but they never lined up exactly. Over time, I was able to develop Spanish reading skills far far better than listening. I am especially frustrated when word gets omitted or shifted to the next word such as "Porque hoy", pronounced as "Por koi", or "Parezco el.." as "Parez koi" This completely throw me off...
Do you have any n-gram content or recommendations for a n-gram list with frequency tables? Great work on the channel!
Hi! I try to include the top n-grams in my stories. I do have raw n-gram data I generated along with my word list, so I might create a video about the top n-grams soon. Stay tuned!
you missed "Nothing" or "Nada" -- a critically acclaimed Argentinian series & a new fav of mine :') !! just wanted to share
Miguel is Awesome !! 🤩 Amazingly !! knowledgeable teacher
Thank you! 😃
If the subtitles don’t match perfectly then I prefer to not have any subtitles at all. I found that Disney+ was lacking
I think there would be a lot of vocab that I wouldn’t understand. Would it still be useful to listen in Español but with English subtitles? I think I should expand my vocabulary more before listening and reading in español
Hi. You can experiment with altering the order I suggest.
The subtitles are not accurate I’ve found. Quite off in fact. These shows would be great so it’s too bad. The shows on Netflix are a little too advanced for me but subtitles are accurate.
Toy Story 4 on Disney+ for me does not have CC for Latin American Spanish. Has it been removed? Or do I need to do something to the account to enable them?
Hi! It's funny. Maybe it's a regional thing? I no longer have Disney+ (I already have enough distractions), so I can't check.
I just wanna say, how can you play Disney+ in other languages in raised to the second, in English to explain more
Hi! Do you mean bilingual subtitles? As I say in the video description, unfortunately I haven't found a way yet.
Can I still watch latin spanish movies, while learning Spanish spanish?
Hi! Of course. The differences are very small. Pretty much the only differences you'll find are: In Latin America we don't have the voiceless /θ/ (th) sound and we don't use "vosotros".
Thanks for your answer. And thanks for your wonderful video's. I still have a trauma from school learning foreign languages ( in the Netherlands we learn 3 different at school). Your method is so much more the way I learn and like it.
_Andor_ happens to be absolutely fantastic. And not just good for a Star Wars thing; it's one of the best seasons of any sort of TV I've ever seen. It's a character-driven story about fascism and resistance, that happens to be set in the Star Wars universe -- definitely Star Wars for adults.
Thanks! I just quickly checked the first episode of each show to prepare this video. I'll give Andor a second look.
A mi me gustan tus videos. Lo siento. estoy aprendiendo espanol por tres meses.
A list would be so much more useful. And just started watching Luca. The Spanish audio does NOT match the subtitles
Hi. Did you choose "Latin American Spanish [cc]" as the subtitles?
@@SpanishInput no not at first. But choosing Latin America language and then the cc version worked. Thanks
Where can I watch animated movies with exact subtitles
Hi! I mention several in this video. They're all on Disney+.
I have tried many times to download the list of most common Spanish words on my iPhone 6 but with no success. Do I need to use a laptop?
Hi. Have you checked the "Files" app on your phone? And yes, it might be a good idea to use a laptop. The download link should be in your email.
I had the same problem. It didn’t work on my phone
@@Hughjanissssssggg Thank you for letting me know. Have you tried the "Gumroad" app? I distribute the list via Gumroad, and they have a "library" app where all your Gumroad purchases are stored.
One piece live action, 1899, and strangely enough Pokémon Indigo have accurate subs. Also, Ragnarok is almost completely accurate.
Escuchan mucho K-pop. Por lo menos no es reguetón. 🤣🤣
Oh, sí. No todos en América Latina aman en reguetón. A algunos nos irrita mucho. De hecho, cuando escucho ruido de máquinas, como aspiradoras, pienso: "Por lo menos no es reguetón."
