Thank you, for some reason Australia says goodbye to Michael much better than the BBC. I think they have changed so much they don’t even recognise the treasures they hold, whereas you appreciate what we lost.

I remember watching 'Parky' every week on TV.
He was UTTERLY SUPERB at just getting people to open up and share. He's a one of a kind.

RIP to "Parky"....but i always think of my dad, as we used to watch "Parkinson" religiously, but im sure it was so my dad could see how many times he touched or scratched his nose..."go on touch your nose" my dad would cry...then when he did my dad would go "wahhhhey" followed by the number, in order, of times he touched it during the episode

It hardly seems possible that the famous interview with the distinctly unhelpful Meg Ryan was twenty years ago.
We have lost an instantly recognisable UK television personality who was almost always at the top of his game.
I say "almost" because I think he let a great opportunity pass when he seemed to forget that John Wayne was
not just a forthright voice on the right of US politics but far more importantly a reservoir of US film history from
silent film days onward who must have had so much to tell about so much and so many given the right questions.
