I’m sorry that you felt you had to apologize. Movies/TV are a different experience for everyone. Movies/TV from a different country even more so. There are subtleties that get lost through translation watching dubbed or not, for the viewer because it isn’t their culture. I think what movies do really well though, is it allows for any audience member to WATCH them and get something out of it. No matter HOW you watch it. I had a hard time getting into foreign (to me) language films and tv because of the dub and because of the subtitles. However, to echo a few comments, when watching something in its original language you get what the actors are saying even without reading anything because of their acting. With body and voice. “Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films.” - Bong Joon-ho (director of Parasite” Netflix also makes dubbed content (sometimes) the default way to watch because of the region your account is in.

Y'all should have watched the subtitled version instead of the dudded version. The acting is way better than in the subtitled version because performance is received better with a better feel for acting tone of the movie. The dudded version sounds and feels kinda generic at best! Thank you!

The thing about Godzilla is he can a good guy or bad guy depending on the version of the character. Like he was a full on antagonist in 7 of the 34 movies of the franchise where majority of them he’s a anti-hero which Godzilla in the American films was portrayed as. Movies where he’s the villain, there’s always a sense of tragedy because he never asked to be mutated. Humanity’s atomic testings not only changed him but traumatized him to now be in constant pain/anger hence why he attacks cities. If they make sequel, I assume they’ll introduce another monster for him to fight. Sorry for the long comment. ^^
I know people are dogging on yall for watching the dub and everything but I still appreciate the fact that yall watched the movie. You do what you want but you are not obligated to watch it subbed because of us. It’s a different experience altogether is what people are saying.

this movie really shocked me, i hated the focus on the humans in the earlier US godzilla's and this one has a pretty major focus on the humans but they did such a good job godzilla is actually the villain in this. rather then the US godzilla approach which atleast led to godzilla X kong the ultimate titan buddy cop movie teaming up to take down the out of controll titan's and occasionally flatten half a city or destroy some historic monuments wile "saving" humanity 1 natural disaster at a time :P
I watched it with subtitles the first time, and Again at a friend's house... the tone of the Movie changes, the English voice actors did a good job, but it was definitely not the same.
This is probably the worst reaction I've seen from this movie. Not only you guys watched it in dub even though you had the option to watch it in the original language on Netflix, you also didn't even pay attention to some of the important stuff and making stupid jokes and saying stupid stuff half the time.

Watch it again...in original language, with subtitles. You won't find many scenes so funny. You miss the tone of the dialogue with the dubbed version.
