So glad to see Tatiana back. I was wondering what was going on when she wasn't on before.
As for Viserys’ condition, the show runners in S1 confirmed it was leprosy. In the books he has cuts from the Throne that grow septic but he doesn’t decline the same way. The books also have veiled implications that the maesters are not treating him properly; Rhaenyra tries to insist that they bring their own master from Dragonstone.
One of the major book plot points (and show to some extent) for Rhaenyra is that as she is having all her children she is gaining weight and becoming thicker. A good chunk of last season Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra was pregnant or recently postpartum and I think the ill-fitting pieces may have been to reflect that. Also, some of her dresses have a masculine bent to it to symbolize her trying to step into a male role as ruler, so I think that may also have contributed to last season’s awkwardness for her costumes. This season so far they seem to be doing less of that.
@summerdaze390 Hi summer daze, thanks for commenting. I will have to disagree with you here because some of the most egregious outfits were on teen Rhaenrya not adult Rhaenyra as much.
I didn't empathize with Aegon's reaction to his son's death. I was like FAFO for all the stuff you did plus like Tatiana said he patronized places where kids fought each other to the death. I felt pain for Helaena though.
