But fair. if i could add in my two cents though i feel like appledash may work better than one might think. sure the whole getting into full on fist fights wasnt exactly great but no one has to say that relationships cant have a rough start or that either of them even had feelings for one another at this point. i feel that applejack and rainbow dash's rivalry may help them in a relationship since by competing in....just about everything they would be constantly pushing each other to be better ponies be it by improving a skill or improving relations with others. i feel like the couple would definatly end up at each others throats fairly often about many things but i dont think either of them would ever get so worked up about it that it would cause an actual fight or a breakup since one or the other or both will likely step down and try to be the bigger mare if they feel that the situation is starting to threaten a lasting rift between them.

I was never a fan of appledash, Pinkiedash always seamed more interesting to me. Pinkie seams to be the only one who would be okay with Rainbow's behavior and hobbies, at the very least she'll tolerate it more. Not to mention that Rainbow constantly seeks admiration and Pinkie likes to make ponies happy. Also I just find it cute how their eyes match the other's coat
Pinkiedash sucks they harm people and their personalities together are reckless. AJ tames the wild side of dash. Twilight helps pinkie calm the hell down. And rarity helps fluttershy not be.... Discord changed, Starlight changed, almost every villain changes in the show, That means you are wrong. AppleDash WOULD work, you're just looking at it the wrong way.
But none of them completely changed. Discord was still chaotic. Starlight was still prone to overreacting and using magic to fix complicated problems. If a character flips on a dime and becomes a different person entirely, that's called BAD WRITING. Fortunately, MLP:FiM is (usually) above bad writing. The ponies change, but in subtle ways. Core aspects of their personality remain constant.
Another logical and rationally-sound episode. My approval is spilling all over the place. I particularly liked how you reaffirmed the light-heartedness behind shipping. That is something that too many people tend to forget.

while I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I do have some ideas of my own. from personal experience with my own family and friends, you can piss them pff pretty easily. but, especially with friends, they seem to learn when you're joking/not being serious/boasting/etc.. AJ has a lot of patience, like you said.. I feel like, if they did somehow get to know each other better, AJ would simply learn and understand not to get so mad at every little thing she says. She would probably end up taking much care of RD, ending in a loving, sort of parental, non-platonic relationship between the two.

You may guess that the fanfics are behind on this shipping couple. You may have guessed that I don't ship characters. It is like mixing two liquids together. Some may blend or they don't. I think shipping should be left to a few experts. I do know that cartoon couples are the greatest pairings. If you like the cartoon couples, which one would you chose? Nice work on this video.
Thank you for this video!! It is extremely annoying dealing with Bronies that ship AppleDash under the stupid excuse of, "Oh they fight because they're hot for each other!" It's a very outdated and incorrect way of thinking when it comes to interactions between two people. Just because two people are competitive or argue/fight with each other at almost the drop of a hat, does NOT mean that they are sexually attracted to each other or should be together. It's like when misguided people try to tell children that when someone is mean to them; bullies them, picks on them, gets physical in a violent way (hair pulling, punching, biting, kicking, pinching, slapping), calls them names, or destroys their property (breaks toys, kicks over blocks or sandcastles), that the antagonist is doing it because they have a crush on the person they're tormenting. It's a very dangerous way of thinking; especially when you start telling them such things at a young age, because when they enter their teen years and adulthood, they think an abusive spouse is just showing them they love them through emotional and physical abuse, since that's what they were raised to believe.
I agree, they were most likely made to contrast I mean just look at the color choices blue and orange are compliment colors! This isn’t the first time the show has used colors to contrast personality.
+Misty Music Rarijack would have a hard time but they have maturity going for them at least, and I think they'd more easily compromise, Rainbow would have a hard problem with that in any situation. It's why I think FlutterDash is actually the ship most likely to crash and burn. Dash would dominate that relationship to an unhealthy extent. Also here's one great advantage: they actually have a dynamic that's grown and changed.

Misty Music Well Fluttershy and Rainbow pretty much come off as best friends like Rarity and Applejack, they are the characters we see hanging out in random episodes all the time. I just don't think It would work romantically cause Rainbow is TOO pushy and tactless and would dominate the relationship. Rarishy has a fairly similar dynamic with Rarity also pushing Fluttershy to get out of her shell but generally she's more respectful of her boundries. So yes it's more likely to work. The problem is it's not exactly the most entertaining dynamic. Which is something people should think about more, this is all fiction. For fun and all that. The ship that I think is actually MOST likely to work would be Twilight and Applejack. It's also the ship that would be the hardest to actually make entertaining to read cause their both so damn rational. That's true of any relationship, you have to learn compromise, broaden your horizons and all that. As for AppleDash vs Rarijack in both relationships they actually both foils to each other but in different ways. I explained why I think Rarijack would actually have an easier time working earlier. Ultimately it comes down to Rarity and Applejack being closer in maturity level. They actually both share an issue with Rainbow and Rarity's ambitions meaning they might have to spend a lot of time away too. Which I doubt Applejack would like.

Dear RLYoshi,I have to agree with you 100% when it comes to Shipping Applejack And Rainbw Dash in the main Cartoon, it would never work! True, they maybe the best of Friends, have Differences, and are very competive twords one another, but isn't that with all people, don't we display the same things? It's amazing that we failed to realize twice what happened when Lyra and Bon Bon were put together in the show, and lighting did strike the same place twice when Vinyl Scrach and Octavia Melody was put together, somehow things always work out in the end, but we should have leared something from this, and that is, be careful who you ship, cause if you don't and choose to ignore everything around you, great disaster can and will show up when you least expect it to and can destroy everyting around you! Merrsharr No, they don't. That's a common misconception that TV has instilled in us. Realistically, the closest one can get to being "tsundere" without actually hating the person they supposedly like is harmless playful trolling and prodding. Not, you know, violence and dangerous competitions.
I agree that they would not last. Also, she has patience with her family and not RD because she's had to put up with her family all her life so she's most likely used to them acting the way they do. RD and AJ could NOT possibly be a couple due to the fact they are very agressive towards one another and will even become violent. That would make the relationship very toxic, like Lapis and Jasper from Steven Universe. Also, it would be highly unstable and dangerous if they have a family together. So this is just another reason for them to NOT be together. Now maybe if it was Twilight and AJ, then I would consider it a possibility but there are some things that counteract that as well.

Ok, I think that everything you said was logical, but i also think that it could work, and It probably could last, they are both really competitive and strong, and they usually shake off being hit, especially by each other, really fast. They honestly alway forgive each other either way so they probably would fight a lot but end up forgiving each other eventually. I think it could work and is honestly just waiting to happen.

I know everything gets shipped, but i really cant see anyone pairing the mane six with the main six. If anything there are plenty of other ponies. The way I see it, I see Applejack as not being particularly interested in any relationships of either gender. RD may have potential, but that would give into the two stereotypes that Lauren Faust is against: "Her tomboyish nature and sporting the "pride colors" makes her a lesbian." But, I've heard of a hint from the creators that there may be a relationship between two of the mane six. Maybe.

You are right. A relationship between the two would be short lived at best and abusive at worse. Even with other friends around to help sort out the worst in their relationship, they would still need to find a very good reason with very good common interests to stay together for it to last. However, their interests are too far apart for it to work.

But none of them completely changed. Discord was still chaotic. Starlight was still prone to overreacting and using magic to fix complicated problems. If a character flips on a dime and becomes a different person entirely, that's called BAD WRITING. Fortunately, MLP:FiM is (usually) above bad writing. The ponies change, but in subtle ways. Core aspects of their personality remain constant.

while I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I do have some ideas of my own. from personal experience with my own family and friends, you can piss them pff pretty easily. but, especially with friends, they seem to learn when you're joking/not being serious/boasting/etc.. AJ has a lot of patience, like you said.. I feel like, if they did somehow get to know each other better, AJ would simply learn and understand not to get so mad at every little thing she says. She would probably end up taking much care of RD, ending in a loving, sort of parental, non-platonic relationship between the two.

Thank you for this video!! It is extremely annoying dealing with Bronies that ship AppleDash under the stupid excuse of, "Oh they fight because they're hot for each other!" It's a very outdated and incorrect way of thinking when it comes to interactions between two people. Just because two people are competitive or argue/fight with each other at almost the drop of a hat, does NOT mean that they are sexually attracted to each other or should be together. It's like when misguided people try to tell children that when someone is mean to them; bullies them, picks on them, gets physical in a violent way (hair pulling, punching, biting, kicking, pinching, slapping), calls them names, or destroys their property (breaks toys, kicks over blocks or sandcastles), that the antagonist is doing it because they have a crush on the person they're tormenting. It's a very dangerous way of thinking; especially when you start telling them such things at a young age, because when they enter their teen years and adulthood, they think an abusive spouse is just showing them they love them through emotional and physical abuse, since that's what they were raised to believe.

+Misty Music Rarijack would have a hard time but they have maturity going for them at least, and I think they'd more easily compromise, Rainbow would have a hard problem with that in any situation. It's why I think FlutterDash is actually the ship most likely to crash and burn. Dash would dominate that relationship to an unhealthy extent.
Also here's one great advantage: they actually have a dynamic that's grown and changed.

Misty Music Well Fluttershy and Rainbow pretty much come off as best friends like Rarity and Applejack, they are the characters we see hanging out in random episodes all the time. I just don't think It would work romantically cause Rainbow is TOO pushy and tactless and would dominate the relationship. Rarishy has a fairly similar dynamic with Rarity also pushing Fluttershy to get out of her shell but generally she's more respectful of her boundries. So yes it's more likely to work. The problem is it's not exactly the most entertaining dynamic. Which is something people should think about more, this is all fiction. For fun and all that. The ship that I think is actually MOST likely to work would be Twilight and Applejack. It's also the ship that would be the hardest to actually make entertaining to read cause their both so damn rational.
That's true of any relationship, you have to learn compromise, broaden your horizons and all that.
As for AppleDash vs Rarijack in both relationships they actually both foils to each other but in different ways. I explained why I think Rarijack would actually have an easier time working earlier. Ultimately it comes down to Rarity and Applejack being closer in maturity level. They actually both share an issue with Rainbow and Rarity's ambitions meaning they might have to spend a lot of time away too. Which I doubt Applejack would like.

Dear RLYoshi,I have to agree with you 100% when it comes to Shipping Applejack And Rainbw Dash in the main Cartoon, it would never work! True, they maybe the best of Friends, have Differences, and are very competive twords one another, but isn't that with all people, don't we display the same things? It's amazing that we failed to realize twice what happened when Lyra and Bon Bon were put together in the show, and lighting did strike the same place twice when Vinyl Scrach and Octavia Melody was put together, somehow things always work out in the end, but we should have leared something from this, and that is, be careful who you ship, cause if you don't and choose to ignore everything around you, great disaster can and will show up when you least expect it to and can destroy everyting around you! No, they don't. That's a common misconception that TV has instilled in us. Realistically, the closest one can get to being "tsundere" without actually hating the person they supposedly like is harmless playful trolling and prodding. Not, you know, violence and dangerous competitions.
I agree that they would not last. Also, she has patience with her family and not RD because she's had to put up with her family all her life so she's most likely used to them acting the way they do. RD and AJ could NOT possibly be a couple due to the fact they are very agressive towards one another and will even become violent. That would make the relationship very toxic, like Lapis and Jasper from Steven Universe. Also, it would be highly unstable and dangerous if they have a family together. So this is just another reason for them to NOT be together. Now maybe if it was Twilight and AJ, then I would consider it a possibility but there are some things that counteract that as well.
In fact, I fully understand your reasons. It took me forty seconds so that even I had no desire to create such videos myself and see such unfounded statements in the comments feed. And I don't even create any videos...

Ok, I think that everything you said was logical, but i also think that it could work, and It probably could last, they are both really competitive and strong, and they usually shake off being hit, especially by each other, really fast. They honestly alway forgive each other either way so they probably would fight a lot but end up forgiving each other eventually. I think it could work and is honestly just waiting to happen.
"Just waiting to happen" is a definite no. I guess it COULD happen, but it would definitely NOT be a fully healthy relationship, even if it wouldn't be downright abusive. But they don't have any feelings for each other.

The way I see it, I see Applejack as not being particularly interested in any relationships of either gender. RD may have potential, but that would give into the two stereotypes that Lauren Faust is against: "Her tomboyish nature and sporting the "pride colors" makes her a lesbian."

You are right. A relationship between the two would be short lived at best and abusive at worse. Even with other friends around to help sort out the worst in their relationship, they would still need to find a very good reason with very good common interests to stay together for it to last. However, their interests are too far apart for it to work.
