I always thought that radio looked the coolest an had the best tire grip but i have no luck binding spectrum an once i got the shen rc grips for the radiolink i love my radio now. Awesome run that was sky high totally nailed the wallride to the top!
I love my new DX6 Rugged I'm running a 7.4v 3800mAh ProTek Rc Spektrum Dx9 Transmitter Lipo Battery in mine. I have used it in all my Spektrum radios for m airplanes and Dx5c for years and now in My dX6 Rugged. The battery will last a long time before needing to be recharged. You have to pull out the AA battery tray to install it. I even use that same Lipo in my Losi Promoto MX transmitter which I will be switching to the DX6 Rugged soon. Get the lipo and never look back at AA batteries again.
i wish they had a transfer system from old remotes to new ones, i usually pass on remotes because i dont want to rebind 20 cars all over again, especially drift cars and crawlers with multiple channels and servos that has specific travel points
I like my dx5 but just better options out there for a lot less money. Or, better options for same amount of money. Don't see the point in getting the dx6. One thing that drove me crazy about the dx5 was no backlight. You have $40 transmitters out there with backlights lol. Glad they finally caught up with the times.
GOTTA use Screws on those wall boards, It will help with the boards curving up at the ends.. Even ring shank nails will pull out with the board as it curves 💪😃🤘
Started using Spektrum around 2006 when their first radio released. For a long time, Spektrum ruled the market, but today, ELRS is easily the best performing while also being the best value. The quality of the radios for the money is also hard to beat.
Had mine for going on 3 weeks.found out,all you have to do is bind it to the promoto, and the program is already in the radio! Woohoo!! Tested it yesterday.spektrum still haven't updated there website to get it registered though.have 9 models programmed in already.also, and you didn't here this from me,but,if you remove the battery holder, you cam fit a 2s lipo transmitter battery in it,and yes, it will handle the voltage.been running my dx5c for years like that, and my dx6 rugged since I have had it.keep in mind, you have to watch your transmitter voltage, when it gets down to 6.8 volts is when I charge it,but your battery meter will still show a full charge. There is no lipo cut off voltage.
Yup same here, I'm running a 7.4v 3800mAh ProTek Rc Spektrum Dx9 Transmitter Lipo Battery in mine. It even works in the Stock Losi Promoto transmitter. I just switched my Promoto to my dX6 Rugged. Love this radio. So much better than my DX5C. The only thing I don't like is the 20-model memory limit. I have 31 RC cars that run on Spektrum. The rest of my 63 RC cars run on the FlySky Nobel Pro. Which is nice but I like the ease of use of Spektrum. I'll just have to buy a 2nd DX6 Rugged. I'm an RC swap meet addict, l can't ever pass up a bargain RC car, lol.
Yo joe. Hey man question for ya but not about this radio. But I know you like the new Amain tires but have you used them on the 17mm hex? I have a Tekno MT 410 2.0 that I changed to 17mm hexes. Just wondering if the wheels themselves are to “deep” when using without 12 or 14mm adapters. Thanks
Got rid of my DX Rugged cause it felt so cheap in the hand. The screen and navigation input slider is horrible. Got a Radiomaster MT12. Input is way easier. The screen is visible in bright sunlight. Affordable. Recievers are cheap. And it’s compatible with almost all other brand recievers.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a BAD (or broken) radio… it’s just so hard for me to spend a couple hundred bucks not to mention all the RXs for better hand feel
Been use my 5 rugged since they came out , luv it , and agree there is other cheaper unit that do more , but i still luv my rugged an it can get wet ,, and i play in rain with my rigggs so this is one of fav radio feels great wrks evertine fer me no issues at all enjoy learn the options and enjoy , one fav ones for crawling is throttle curves gets the sweet spot of most rigs ,, just like any good radio happy trails joe nother great video thank you
Left a couple RTR radios from traxxas and Arrma out in the rain and sun for a couple days and they still work fine to this day…. After they dried and I wiped off the bird poop
By the time you get one with a receiver you are at $299.99 There’s a lot of other better radios with much better interfaces for less money, I.e. Flysky Noble NB4+ at the same price or the regular Non + for $100 less. Of course RadioLink and others. If you were a racer and ran Spektrum for years this is probably a good choice for familiarity though

Spektrum had made their binding process the easiest available today
👍thanks

Yeah man, angle that wall to ride it like an angel.First time I saw you ride that wall ,I thought tilt that backwards for some Speedway thrills.✌️💥😊

I can't beliece your motor mount has lasted... Mine bent several times under much softer nose hits. Makes me think they changed something.
The 4 way tool fits just put the long side to the top.

They should gift this radio to everybody that purchased a DX6R. All that money spent and they left us hanging.

😂
I was debating on the DX6 or the radiomaster mt12 4 &1. Very glad I went with the mt12.
The mt12 is so much better than the Rugged. The rugged feels like a cheap rtr radio.
@Socalnik66 only thing missing is water resistant.
Nice , what receiver and gyro did you use in this video ? I must of missed it. Thanks

Back case is made to hold a 4 way.
👍👍😃
Did you drop down pinion size for this tires.
Where is the control/button for the 6th channel ??
Try the ddf-350 from dumbo
pass its 449 in australia . damit . why do we pay double , oh its the mighty dollar or lack of it .
Will it work seemlessly with the Promoto?
👍😁😎✌️
Would you say this is better than the sky zone noble nb4 ??? I’m looking for new controller please help tired of my stock ones
It would be nice for $150
🤷♂️
Just fix your ramp already lol
nothing new at all look the same no new adjustments same everything ....
over priced basic rtr radio! hahaha 😊
Junk!!!!!!!! Still no 4ws dual. Fucks sake. Every remote needs a knob
