yep, it doesn't have knobs so yeah they can be momentary so it self centers, with the speed adjustment you can set that to, I think. Very new to nice Spektrums.
There is absolutely nothing 'real' about operating the back wheels of a toy car with your left thumb. A full size monster truck's rear steer is operated with your right hand on a lever. One could argue a stick type radio is more realistic because you use both hands to operate it.
@@toolbaggerspedantic much? Since we all can't carry around a full monster truck simulator when we want to play with our losi LMT or Primal Raminator, we do the best we can with cool thumb toggle steering.
If you push the power button on a angle it'll stick. That was my main problem with the dx5c, other then that I had no complaints, just someone had to spoil me with a fancy remote now so not sure if I could go back now😂
If you have not got a Radiomaster M12, thats what you should have got. I truly dislike and wish I had never got spectrum transmitters. Made cheap and priced high. Horrible software or firmware . I have had the MT12 for a week now and love it. Much better quality at a fraction of the price. Love the channel and the hair. You do you. Peace
Somehow you can move the brake gain. Or change any of the buttons to do what you want. You can make the three position buttons as momentary or on. You can mix one aux with throttle for winch control also so you don’t have to hold three buttons to winch and drive. They are pretty good as far as my DX5C
It's nice but relatively basic. I like EdgeTX for an example I've been programming for the promoto and have a special front brake curve slave to a 3 position switch. Position 1 normal both brake with independant endpoints. position 2 the front brake is only fully active when there is no steering applied so you can brake into bends off road to get the back out. and position 3 front bake disabled. Look at the radiomaster MT12 binds to almost anything.
Buying Spektrum is like going to the dealership for an oil change and agreeing to pay for all things the commissioned based service advisor tells you to do. Brakes 'only' has 20,000 miles left? Better to change it all out while you're there for the oil change. Not enough time today? Let's schedule it when you come for another oil change at 5000 miles that the dealership recommends (even if the factory manual says do it 15,000 miles or once a year.) 🤣🤣
Can Spektrum honestly get with the times with their transmitters already & stop rehashing the same old transmitters? The DX6C transmitter is a DX5C with the backlit display from a DX5 Pro with an additional channel. Seriously?? All this time since they have released the DX5C and the DX5 Pro and this is their vision of what their users want? Such a disappointment!! Also three things: 1) Get rid of the thumb wheel to navigate the options on the transmitter it's a pain in the butt, especially when naming your vehicles. 2) Allow us to use a PC software to make changes on the transmitter, especially vehicle settings. 3) Release a transmitter with touchscreen! You have other companies able to release transmitters with wonderful displays & here is Spektrum releasing this? Also this would fix the damn menu thumb wheel issue.
Spectrum remotes are nice,,but I prefer my noble nb4 it is the fastest rc remote in the world ,has variable transmitter power outout,,use your new spectrum remote for your ramminator...
....but then Flysky and others are no different when as often as not they just facelift, I get the Radiomaster MT12 but I also get the attraction of the SMART telemetry especially when so many Horizon products come with it and bind so easily, would i change if i had 'Rugged' or even DX5c, no way, but if all i had were lots of SLT's, hell yeah
Interesting they just added a channel to the dx5c. Cool if you need an extra channel but it’s nowhere near as nice as the dx5pro or my android powered dx6r.
I want to buy a new RX. Spektrum DX6C ( of maybe DX5 ) is compatible with my possible future Mini-z MR04 EVO2? I also do model flying, I have a lot of Spektrum Rx for my DX8, can I use them for the DX6C ? e.g. Vince
@@ExocagedRC Hi ! I bought the Noble NB4! I have 2 questions about the MR04 1) I have many types of LIPO batteries from the aéreo model fly ! Could I use the 2s lipo which are 7.4 volts? 2) could I also use the normal AAA Ni-MH Rechargeable?
Radiomaster MT12. 4 in 1. 1 tx, unlimited models. $139. Spektrum, 1 is FOREVER stuck to using Spektrum brans only recievers. Mt12 binds to ALL/ANY reciever even Walmart brand toys ($20 & up). I had the ix20se ($2000.00) tx. Gave it away for $500 & got the Radiomaster tx16s. F spektrum!
What's worse, buying one overpriced radio versus buying an overpriced radio and receiver FOR EVERY CAR? If the car comes with a transmitter, the company is assuming you're a beginner with no equipment or an addicted sucker that will buy it anyways. Horizon Hobby would go out of business if they tried to pull this crap off on the airplane crowd. The mainly old people that flies planes would not tolerate this kind of BS. This is why only the very, very beginner stuff comes with a transmitter.
@ExocagedRC great idea Android operating systems but it should have had a better battery and spekrum should have Open source so we can modify the DX6R but it just full of problems but now I'm looking into Air Radio like the Spekrum ix12 or ix14 or ix24 because I mostly Run RC tow truck and I love installing the GT Power Pro A60
I love my DX5C, the 6 is nice, but I don't see a need to upgrade. People like to hate Spektrum, but the DX5C and now DX6C are arguably their best remotes. The touch screen and controls on the Rugged suck and the DX5 Pro isn't worth it when the RC8X and Noble are exponentially better in the same price range. If you just like having fun with your cars and dont plan on racing, the DX5C wbd DX6C are the only remote youll ever need.
I'm surprised to hear you say that you're switching to spektrum from your typical radios (flysky) for many of your RCs. Prob because the Spektrum radios are x2 the price and that's without including an RX's. Also, I get you're a 'noob' to spektrum but you're by no means a noob to anything RC in general. i guess i'm surprised that someone like you is 'excited' about this radio
I'm not switching, Just another Option especially when it comes to RTR Axial, ARRMA and Losi Vehicles with Smart ESC's I want to see what thats all about and this will bind up to the stock receivers so it should be easy.
i love how you can have the rear steer on a toggle swith like on a real monster truck

Go to the rates menu and inhibit the brake, steer and throttle rate. You don’t need them and it will remove the adjustment from the button as well.
thank you!
You should be able to use the wheel with the extension from the stock remote on it
Hey EXO, DSM makes a thumb steer for this radio.
Great video ,,but yeah check out the Noble nb4 transmitter..

I would prefer the Radiomaster MT12 tbh.
Are you able to adjust the % or rear steer compared to the front by a designated switch? It would be nice to have this on the fly
Yeah I think so, I haven't got into 4ws yet but it should be simple end points on CH3
The telemetry gets cool when you have a smart receiver, esc, and battery.
All you need to know is the pack voltage. But then that's no9t even needed if you properly set the low cuto-off voltage setting of the EC.
@@toolbaggers it’s nice to see all the temps and amperage too.
Temp and battery are all I really monitor. 15 cars on my dx5c.

You wasted your money when you could have bought a multi-protocol radio like Radiomaster etc that is much, much more powerful and versatile.
I hate the dx5c.... it's just never been a good fit for me.
