We are going to do it from now on, but it will be every 6 weeks. This is when a bar would have a consistent good pint or a poor pint. The bars with the consistent good pint continued to clean there lines every week as they did before 1999. 22 years on from that take over, the bars that rate a high score just don’t wait that long 6 weeks it’s still done weekly 👌.

Looks like the ring around the glass was water that wasn't able to drain where the glass has been stacked. Theyre likely going through enough Guinness to have amazingly clean lines, and glasses need to be stacked due to space and volume of pints sold. As far as the price goes, you're paying for atmosphere, live music etc which is why they're busy in the first place

Some different comments regarding the staining on the glass. In my experience this is not due to wet glass or storage. Not too arsed about having it settle, when it’s still stewing is when it’s at its coldest, freshest and least oxidised so you get the sweetness in it that’s lacking later, when the roasted malts come forward
Unless you're taking hours to drink your pint there's no chance the beer has a chance of oxidising enough for you to be able to detect it. Roasted malt flavours do become more prominent over time if you age dark beers but it's over a period of months, it doesn't happen over the 20 minutes you're drinking a pint. The only noticeable change is temperature, which will affect the ability of your tastebuds to detect flavour. It's why cask drinkers and serious beer nerds like their beer served between 8-10c
I've traveled to Ireland 8 times for holiday from the States, and I've not stepped foot in The Temple Bar. I just don't understand the draw of an expensive pint being consumed with a bunch of foreigners! I'd rather find a pint with locals and genuine craic.
I live in Dublin, and never drink in Temple Bar. But lookit if yer a tourist in the city on a boring Tuesday night and there's fuck all craic going on elsewhere, I don't see a problem going and spending a fiver extra for a couple of pints in Temple Bar where it might be busy. Big fucking deal like!
If your ever in Sheffield try out our appropriately named Irish Triangle. The Grapes, Fagans & Dog and Partridge. Another to also mention is Frog and parrot ah they have just had Guinness artwork painted in the outside wall of the pub.

I living in Birmingham, I only have a drink once a week in my local Wetherspoon's pub, Guinness is £1.95 on a Monday night.
New fan - only had 1 Guinness in my life. I reside in the U.S. - just haven’t had much of it. I’m going to give it a try now.
Great vid mate, really good info for when me and the Mrs are planning a trip over to the land of Nectar.
Just came across your channel, looks like great content. I own a pub in Anaconda, MT USA and we charged $5.50 for a pint of Guinness, which is 4.88 Euros. 6.90 Euro would be $7.78 US. Pretty spendy pint I would say. Cheers.
Don’t come to Australia if you think that’s expensive, pint is easily $10
Guinness in USA is shocking...
@@BeverG8818 And seeing people in Ireland drinking Bud light is horrifying.
@@racesla I'm from Ireland and drank nothing but coors light while camping in the Valley of Fire outside of Vegas. Was perfect, kept me hydrated and did nothing else. :)
@@MrTuxy lol Yes a very cold can must be a can, of coors light on a hot day, on a dock by a lake is the ticket. No need of water to keep hydrated. Cheers.
I like getting the pint before it is fully settled, that storm of milk is always nice to see, Guinness is about my favorite beer
You have fantastic taste my friend! Cheers
There is a Irish pub in Victoria BC Canada who charges $ 12 Canadian
It may be expensive at Temple Bar, but it is good news that the pint is actually quality, because there are going to be a lot of tourists going there and it may be the only Guinness they experience and you'd hate for it to be a bad one.
Paid 7.60 for G in Auld Dubliner mid week recently (quickly left after one)
Wow
Shocking prices
6:50 mans was squaring up 😂
Not too arsed about having it settle, when it’s still stewing is when it’s at its coldest, freshest and least oxidised so you get the sweetness in it that’s lacking later, when the roasted malts come forward
@@palo2072 you can’t leave a pint for 20 minutes , 5 max or you drink Carlsberg like the rest of the failures
I drink mine in 1hour 10-20 minutes
Just returned from Dublin and "The Auld Triangle" also has Guinness pints for 4,50 €.
Get yourself to the Hearsall Inn in Coventry. Great Irish pub with very good guinness.
Is Sean Cannon still playing there ?
€6.70 in Buskers for the Guinness. €7.50 for a pint of smithwicks or worse 7.50 for a pint of Fosters
Isn’t fosters Australian dutch gold
Guru is one of the best in the RUclips Guinness drinking game right now. The kid always delivers and it's about time people started respecting that.
What other Guinness gurus are there
@@jigsey. exactly🤣🤣
@@smashyrashy No respect lads. This is what I'm talking about. The Guru is out here working his nutsack off and this is how you repay him 😫😫
I didn't realise there was a RUclips Guinness drinking game lol
What a bizarre comment
£8.90 for me on a Wednesday june 2023 at 6:30 in the evening and they said thr prices go up at 1030pm crwzyyy
There's live music and plenty of atmosphere in temple bar. It doesn't excuse the high prices but you can see why tourists go there.
Great atmosphere, famous bar, always full of people and live music
Had a full day session in temple bar when I visited Dublin and loved it to be honest. Expensive but great pub and pints.
I work beside the snug and saw you that day and I’m only seeing this video now! Better go in there for an after work settler soon
Most Irish video I have ever seen, Says it like it is and there is nothing more relaxing drinking a pint of Guinness with a pair of shaved Balls..
It's expensive so they can provide live music all day I think
If your ever in Sheffield try out our appropriately named Irish Triangle. The Grapes, Fagans & Dog and Partridge. Another to also mention is Frog and parrot ah they have just had Guinness artwork painted in the outside wall of the pub.
Couple of bars in Portrush Northern Ireland charging £6 a pint this summer ( €7.10 ) .... Never thought I would see the day Temple Bar cheaper than a bar in Northern Ireland.
Probably because the hospitality industry in Northern ireland is booming because they are not taking part in medical segregation/discrimination.
was that the tall johnny in the background at 11:23
I will be visiting Dublin in July. I live in Texas. I'm excited to go and doing Guinness at these two places.
Christy Moore, the perfect music for drinking pints of the black 👌🇮🇪
Last time I was in Dublin our Airbnb was in Drumcondra. Pint was 4 euros. McGraths Pub.
Where I live in Sweden is 6.90 a very cheap beer. I ordered a Guinnies in Gothenburg för 8.10
I prefer looking at the pint as it settles. Part of the pleasure of getting a good pint is the anticipation of drinking it!
Clicked for Guinness, stayed for the review. Great.
I was in here for a few pints before a concert and we found the prices got bigger as the evening went on
