I just actually ordered 2023 PRS SE Standard 24 in Trans Blue through Sweetwater. I love it. Insane tuning stability. The 85/15S Humbuckers are extremely hot.
Any problems with the shipping arrangements? What was the condition of the box when it arrived? And was the overall condition of the guitar? I am very Trepidatious about ordering instruments online . I've only done it twice and was very disappointed and returned the instruments after only looking at them. And one of my mantras two younger guitarists is to never buy an axe you haven't played first,,,!??
I don’t often play above the 12th fret but I haven’t felt any discomfort with the heel joint so far! This is a great question. I’ll play in the upper register more and talk about it in my 1 month review. Thank you! 😄
Ordered the same color. Should be here tomorrow. I have several USA PRS AND MY FAVORITE PRS are my 91 and 94 CE24'S. Love those better than my 98 custom 24 10 top. I can't wait to get this and probably mod it with old original prs pickups and parts
Nice! I hope you enjoy it :D. Is there something special about those two CEs that make them your favorite? I was thinking of modding this one as well and putting the USA 85/15 pickups in them. The 85/15 "s" pickups are solid, but I briefly played the USA ones, and was blown away by them.
@bjackson4 they have alder bodies with maple caps, and the neck profile is just perfect. Also, those models came with HFS bridge and Vintage Bass neck pickups. Those pups just work great in those guitars and I have an old set I'm going to try in the new SE. Also the bridge in those older CE24'S is the same as the cores. I think they're some of the best they ever made. They are just guitars that add up to a sum greater than its parts. I'm sure the new SE is great right out of the box. I just can't leave anything alone and I'm always modding PRS guitars mostly, although I do have others. My favorite guitar at the moment is actually a charcoal burst PRS SE Hollowbody II. The pickups are great, it plays great and very easy. It's just fun and sounds so musical and touch sensitive
@@leeasbury7273 gotcha! Thank you for letting me know. If you end up putting the old pickups in the SE, let me know your thoughts on the sound! I can confirm the new SE is great right out of the box haha. That's cool that they used to come with the same bridge as the cores though! I did not know that. I've heard very good things about the SE Hollowbody II. I'd love to play one some day.
Hey just to double check did you mean main difference? If so, I haven’t gotten my hands on the Satin one so I don’t want to speak of the feel, but from a spec perspective the satin one is all mahogany body while this one is a mahogany body with a maple veneer cap on it. Plus the gloss finish. And I believe the back is painted on the satin one. The one in this review is a natural back
I found out the difference between the two guitars is the price. The one with the gloss-like finish is a bit more expensive than the other. Considering the satin sc ce 24... Maybe the squire Nashville Stratocaster... Quite possibly the fender lead 2, my very first guitar...1982. I need something to work with. My collection of 10 guitars over the last 40 years was stolen. Got to kick out the Jams man!🎸😎♥️
FYI. That PRS Swamp Ash Special has a fantastic sound. I think I might prefer that sound, but price is quite a bit more on that three pickup model; and the colors not quite as attractive as the CE24 with the maple tops.
I was actually on the fence about getting this one or the SAS. I landed on this one because at the moment I do prefer a HH setup as opposed to a HSH. There's something special about these SE maple tops; they look amazing. I did enjoy the Iri Blue SAS though I do prefer the tops on these CEs as over those as well.
@@bjackson4 I’m really looking forward to it. I had a Paul’s guitar in aqua that I enjoyed but let a buddy take it on the road. I saw this one and it was love at first sight.
That was kind of you 😄. I hope your buddy is enjoying it! I looked at the Paul’s guitar about a year ago and almost got one, but decided to wait. Same vibes here though! I saw this and knew I wanted one 😊
@@bjackson4 the pickups in the Paul’s are my favorite SE pickups and the switching is so close to single coil strat that it’s incredibly versatile. Vela semi hollow is next!
That’s sweet how versatile those pickups are! Ooo the Vela is beautiful! I was looking at one last year but wanted my first PRS to have the bird inlays 😄.
As sixslinger9951 said, it's currently $559.00 USD. However, this is the 20% off sale price that ends on December 31st, 2023. The price before the sale was $699.00 USD.
What do you mean? People look for guitars in specific price ranges or “points”. That’s part of the reason why I got this guitar. It was in the range I was looking for.

Congratulations on the new guitar! 🎉. The pickups sound great!
I just bought one from Sweetwater couple days ago too. Got the blood orange. Beautiful look and sound
Congrats!! That orange is a sweet color as well!

How much was it with 20% off? Are they gonna have more offers deals in the future?
I think it ended up being around $600 with taxes included. I’m not sure if they are going to have more deals like that, but we’ll see
how comfortable is the heel joint? great looking guitar!

Bought one of these specifically to mod it, will put a sustainer pickup and a vega trem xD, I can't leave any of my guitars stock either.
Enjoy the modding! :D
Nice Guitar!! Thanks For Sharing
Thank you so much! And thank you for watching 😄

Man I guess I am a couple months too late for the 549.00 price, now in FEB everyone is selling for 699.00 dang it. lol
Yeah it’s back up to its full retail price 😅. PRS did just release a SE CE 24 Satin though! I believe it goes for 499.00.
I really like the shine , not so much on the satin.
I need this for 549… :((

Gig bags are a joke. Paul, give us hs cases for this price please.
I actually like this gig bag. I much prefer them to hard cases. To each their own though 😊
There is no point in " Price Point'. Stop it kids.

Price point is absolutely a big part of buying a guitar. I appreciate these videos.
