Really wish the Homing Shield from Sonic 3D Blast made its way over in Mania alongside the other Elemental Shields. As for the QOTD, it would’ve been really cool for Mighty to retain his ability to store and switch between shields on the fly, just like in Sonic MegaMix. For Ray though, he’s just fine as he is in Mania Plus. For everyone else besides Sonic, I’d give them access to the Elemental Shields movement abilities, just for how figuratively game-breaking some of the potential matchups could be.
I would give Mighty wall jump from Chaotix and change the levels to utilize it, like with Knuckles. I would give Ray some sort of special jump for activating his flight which doesn’t go as high but gives some momentum
I think Mighty should have these moves... * Mighty could grab Enemies and use them as Weapons by throwing them. You don't have to use Badniks, you could use Monitors (Note: All except for the Eggman Monitor, the 1-up Monitor, and the Partner randomizer in Encore mode will grant you the sheild/effect to you.), Your Partner in Encore mode if you need to get to some place higher up, certain Spikes, Enemy projectiles such as the Woodpecker Badnik's bombs, Heavy Gunner's Missiles, The Ice Badnik's Bombs, and The Small Sonics in Phase 2 of Metal Sonic's battle, some Rocks, and etc. However, there *IS* a catch: you can only, and I say *ONLY* use it on ground with pernamint solid colission detection. You can use this Move Underwater to get certain things like Air bubbles more quickly, but the item you throw will be much slower. * A deadly Punch attack which can make killing bosses easily, but has a *VERY* small range, so you'll need to get up close to them. You can use this attack Underwater, and in the Air as well. Ray on the Other hand should have these Powers... * An Aerial dash which can move farther than Sonic's, but is Slower. It can also work Underwater, and can allow you to get through stuff easily, like Eggman's Act 2 battle in Hydrocity Zone. * A Wall grab attack, Which Unlike Knuckles, can't move up or down, but won't descend after awhile. So you'll need to cling off the wall and immediatly cling back onto it if you wanna climb up or down. * A Spin attack which looks and feels like the Cape ability in Super Mario World. It has a good range, and it can work in Midair, and Underwater. It can also reflect *ALL* Projectiles! * If you hold that same Spin Attack longer, Ray will become a Tornado, and you can move around pretty much anywhere! It works the same as before, I.e able to reflect projectiles and all that, but It can also hover around in the air, creates Air Bubbles Underwater, but most importantly, *KILL BOSSES.* There is a hitch though, and that is that you nore you Partner if you're playing Encore Mode, can't use other Abilities (ex: Sonic's Homing Attack in the Video.) and you'll have to wait until Ray stops spinning around. If you let go of the button, Ray will slowly descend down, however if you jump while still decending, you'll break out of it. * If you hold Down and Jump while descending, Ray will come rocketing down like a drill if you want to get onto land Quickly.
I believe the ring popping out of a badnik is a reference to Tails’ Adventure on the Game Gear! Enemies had a chance of dropping a ring when defeating them.
For Mighty: since he is like a mixture of sonic and knuckles, i would say like he tackles an enemy then the enemy flies in the opposite direction, like saitama punching something tough. For Ray: He flap his wing thing, basically Ray used Gust
It’s kinda useless, but I thought Mighty could have like, and instantaneous spin dash (kinda like SA1) that can active while moving. Ray could have like a Mario Bros. U squirrel suit inspired double jump (that could even be used while gliding), and maybe if he uses it on the ground, he jumps higher than normal with a different animation (though he can’t double jump from that)

I was playing a certain classic sonic fan game on Roblox where if you're playing as knuckles you can roll across the ground after gliding by holding down just before touching the ground giving you the option to jump and glide again almost instantly. So basically you have knuckles do a short glide,roll,and glide again. that would be a little useful if you want to keep up momentum when getting from platform to platform,or if you just like to watch knuckles glide.
I feel like Mighty could get an ability that ground pounds him forward, if that makes sense. Like, his ground pound usually takes away all momentum, but the new ability would launch him forward a bit as he hit the ground, and he'd transition into a run to keep your speed. Kind of like Sonic's homing attack but only at the ground, and I probably worded that poorly. I'd like a new Ray ability to be a sort of ceiling climbing ability. It would probably only have a use in enclosed areas like caves but it could be interesting for getting over gaps. I think Mighty has more to work with. Thank you for listening to my TEDTalk.

QotD: Mighty's wall jump and Ray would get a forced balancing animation if he's about to run of a cliff to his death and maybe even more animations only seen in SegaSonic the Hedgehog like flailing in the air for two seconds when floor falls from below him. Also you forgot the Sonic Advance 3's Tails and Cream Tails flight ability Tails has when you look up and press LR.

Ray: a a charge jump that if you tap in the air it do a bigger jump but doesn't allow to glide until you touch the ground mighty:something similar to a spin dash but if he hits a wall it rains rings and random enemies
Tails gets a ring from tail whipping because it's a reference to the Advance games. (The bots dropped rings when being destroyed. That actually sounds interesting in theory...think about how the ring might energize the bots...)
Ray could totally have a dive bomb sort of attack, where in mid-glide you can suddenly WOOSH down on your enemies. Mighty could probably have the wall kick he had in Chaotix.
I think I would give Ray a little tail whip in the air that reflects projectiles and acts like the instant shield, while giving mighty immunity to being crushed while in ball form
I'd give Mighty his Chaotix wall jump and a block button so he can black with his back, and Ray can quickly glide backward for a few seconds, useful when about to fall in a bottomless pit
Imagine if we added this to that really popular mod you did on a modern sonic mod with boost and wisps. We could have a full on modern sonic in sonic mania.
I’d essentially give Mighty the ability to bounce from a ground slam, ala the bounce bracelet from Sonic Adventure 2 & onwards, and I’d give Ray a jump that he can perform during his glide to give him some extra upwards movement.
Lambda Core It was the best I could come up with for Mighty, but I guess I could make it different by letting you keep on bouncing until you decide to switch back to a ground slam, which can result in a bigger quake, wiping out more enemies on screen depending on how high you’ve bounced.
Mighty should gain his Chaotix moveset, and Ray should get a jump out of his glide and then you can start gliding again. Along with that, Ray should also have a wall cling and climb ability, being a flying squirrel.
For QOTD, Mighty could have his wall kick, maybe altered to be able to jump up one wall like Mega Man X. Ray's hard, but I had the idea that he could also have a spin attack? Like tails, but functioning more like the spin the Cape gives in Super Mario World.
I would give Mighty his wall jump from Knuckles Chaotix, while Ray would be able to hold up to 3 shields in storage like Mighty could do in Sonic Megamix.
QOTD: I think mighty should be able to pick up a badnik, be able to carry it for a limited time, then be able to throw it as a projectile (like how he threw ray in mania adventures).
Mighty could have a defensive mode where he completely covers himself with his shell and can't be hurt but can only be activated on the ground and you can't move while using it unless on a ramp where you begin rolling. For Ray, if he goes high enough and you tilt down fast enough, you will then make a small crash, like Mighty but it also uses Ray's gliding ability. Yet again, like caped Mario.
Mighty - Drop Dash And Mega Charge - Can charge towards boxes and badniks to destroy them, but if you run into a wall you are dazed for 5 secs. Ray - Trampoline Hop: Another character can jump off Ray’s back as he glides

All these new abilities would look sweet if they were hyper-form abilities as bonus for finishing the game with all emeralds with every character combination possible, even the & Knuckles option.

I think that Mighty could possibly, after you use that smash attack, if you jump again you can bounce? IDK And for Ray maybe just like knuckles you can roll whilst gliding but then when you touch the ground it will automatically drop dash somehow.

So, you're pretty much just giving Mighty the Boost, except it's not totally broken like in Unleashed, Colours, Generations or Forces.

Mighty when you press down you would curl up into a ball and would be immune to some attacks but you’re jump would be shorter. Ray would be able to jump off some enemies (almost all airborne ones) by grappling on to them with his tail
I imagine Mighty being able to perform a Light Speed Dash, still focusing on his defensive playstyle while giving him more speedy moves.

Ray: A higher jump than the rest of the characters, or being able to fly without jumping.
Mighty Could have a Rolling Bounce feature, like the bubble shield for sonic; He would still be invincible this way and could increase the bouncing height with a control mechanic. Ray could have a upward propel that could give him the wanted height for his gliding move. That's what I could think.
Ray: a a charge jump that if you tap in the air it do a bigger jump but doesn't allow to glide until you touch the ground
mighty:something similar to a spin dash but if he hits a wall it rains rings and random enemies
Tails gets a ring from tail whipping because it's a reference to the Advance games. (The bots dropped rings when being destroyed. That actually sounds interesting in theory...think about how the ring might energize the bots...)

Ray could totally have a dive bomb sort of attack, where in mid-glide you can suddenly WOOSH down on your enemies. Mighty could probably have the wall kick he had in Chaotix.
Here's my own idea: Mighty can have wall jump, And Ray can have double jump before gliding.
Ray: tail swipe
Mighty: rock throw
I think I would give Ray a little tail whip in the air that reflects projectiles and acts like the instant shield, while giving mighty immunity to being crushed while in ball form
Ray could have a ground tail sweep that hurts enemies or Ray could eat acorns that randomly replace rings and each acorn gives him a random boost
I bet the titanic monarch miniboss will be a cakewalk with this now
Obviously for Mighty, he'd get his wall kick from knuckles' chaotix. Maybe some sort of punch attack too. Ray on the other hand, I'm stumped.
I'd give Mighty his Chaotix wall jump and a block button so he can black with his back, and Ray can quickly glide backward for a few seconds, useful when about to fall in a bottomless pit
Imagine if we added this to that really popular mod you did on a modern sonic mod with boost and wisps. We could have a full on modern sonic in sonic mania.
I’d essentially give Mighty the ability to bounce from a ground slam, ala the bounce bracelet from Sonic Adventure 2 & onwards, and I’d give Ray a jump that he can perform during his glide to give him some extra upwards movement.
Lambda Core It was the best I could come up with for Mighty, but I guess I could make it different by letting you keep on bouncing until you decide to switch back to a ground slam, which can result in a bigger quake, wiping out more enemies on screen depending on how high you’ve bounced.
Mighty could kill anything in his path with his ground pound and ray could store anything in his mouth and spit it out at stuff
now we need boom voice clips to make this even better!
Mighty should gain his Chaotix moveset, and Ray should get a jump out of his glide and then you can start gliding again. Along with that, Ray should also have a wall cling and climb ability, being a flying squirrel.
For QOTD, Mighty could have his wall kick, maybe altered to be able to jump up one wall like Mega Man X.
Ray's hard, but I had the idea that he could also have a spin attack? Like tails, but functioning more like the spin the Cape gives in Super Mario World.
I would give Mighty his wall jump from Knuckles Chaotix, while Ray would be able to hold up to 3 shields in storage like Mighty could do in Sonic Megamix.
QOTD: I think mighty should be able to pick up a badnik, be able to carry it for a limited time, then be able to throw it as a projectile (like how he threw ray in mania adventures).
Mighty could have a defensive mode where he completely covers himself with his shell and can't be hurt but can only be activated on the ground and you can't move while using it unless on a ramp where you begin rolling.
For Ray, if he goes high enough and you tilt down fast enough, you will then make a small crash, like Mighty but it also uses Ray's gliding ability. Yet again, like caped Mario.
Mighty - Drop Dash And Mega Charge - Can charge towards boxes and badniks to destroy them, but if you run into a wall you are dazed for 5 secs.
Ray - Trampoline Hop: Another character can jump off Ray’s back as he glides

I remembered sonic four when you showed off the homing attack And it was the first sonic game that I ever played and I love sonic games so it wasn’t a waste
All these new abilities would look sweet if they were hyper-form abilities as bonus for finishing the game with all emeralds with every character combination possible, even the & Knuckles option.

Mighty can get a wall jump and a projectile where he throws a rock.
Ray can get a charged dash that that works in the air or grounded kinda like an aireal peel out.

I think that Mighty could possibly, after you use that smash attack, if you jump again you can bounce? IDK
And for Ray maybe just like knuckles you can roll whilst gliding but then when you touch the ground it will automatically drop dash somehow.
