Thanks for a great comparison. Are the noise levels the same in "Sleep" mode as on the "Lowest speed" levels that you tested?
The Xiaomi 4 Compact doesn't have traditional fan speeds. It has a manual mode through which you control the fan speed. So, it's not easy to measure and compare their noise levels at all speeds.
in other video, you tick the “true hepa” for xiaomi 4 compact, so which is the right one?
I looked at the site, they say it's 99.97 high-efficiency filter, so it's a 'true hepa' but they're trying to market it as better than hepa. So technically not 'true hepa'.
so does the xiaomi 4 compact have true hepa filter or not? on the comparison between the philips 800 it is stated to have but on this it dosent

Yeah he is either intentionally confusing or made a mistake and not clarifying
it's a bit tricky. but they actually created their own standard which suprisingly as good as the hepa filter.
its official site says while hepa is made out of fiberglass, xiaomi 4 models (compact, lite and pro) are made out of ppa. the structure of the filter physically is the same but xiaomi claims their ppa filters are more efficient
Hepa is a rating, and their site says that it's a high efficiency aka HEPA, 99.97 efficiency. Think they're just trying to "one up" in marketing. Tho it's not like 99.97 is needed.
I think it would be fairer to compare Xiaomi 4 Compact with Levoit 300S, not 200S. Levoit 300S has 219 ft2 coverage and 26W power consumption.
But Levoit 300S is double the price of Xaiomi 4C (at least locally). Even the 200S is more expensive than Xiaomi, therefore a fair comparison can be made only between the 200s and xiaomi 4 compact because they are relatively at the same price level.

I haven't tested these devices yet, but I bought the Core 300S and the Vital 200S a few days ago. I will test them in the following weeks, after which I will review and compare them.
The information about the Xiaomi 4 Compact is different here compared to the indepth video this channel has. There is supposed to also be true HEPA filter on the device and a bigger room coverage of 290 sq ft

@@flyingcockroach7813 'True hepa' is a marketing term really. Hepa is high-efficiency particulate air filter - H13 H14 just refers to how efficient something is at filtering particles. 99.97 being h13
Xiaomi site tries to market as better than 'true hepa' thus not making it a 'true hepa', while if you look at their site they say it's 99.97, so it's a hepa filter.
Tho for a home device an EPA, Efficient particulate air filter - E11 or E12, would work well enough anyway because the device recycles air, so a 99+ filter catches everything too.
