I tried benching 705 myself yesterday! It almost fell on my neck! I'm lucky I'm alive! The only thing that saved me was that I was unable to unrack it!
Just started weightlifting a month ago. My max bench is 145. He's tossing that around literally bounding it in his hands. Then works his way up to 705. I just can't even comprehend that. I can't even comprehend half of that yet. Absolutely crazy.

+UnknownXV don't worry about it. It is because you are all natural and do not take roids. You gotta understand all of these pros are on roids. The human body is simply not capable of naturally lifting that much weight (not that I know of at least)
I think everyone in the powerlifting world, hates the way Eric Spoto benches lol. It's like damn, there he goes repping my max bench, and he's just playing with it. Love the way how he does really short reps and then gradually adds more motion until it's almost at that full range.
One thing that annoys me is the way people just discredit others achievements. He's on gear, doesn't count, he's 300+ pounds doesn't count or the big one he's lifting equipped can't bench (lift) raw for shit. Like they're all strong, they're all competing in their separate fields. You don't run up to 400m sprinters and call them slow because Usain Bolt runs 100M faster than they do.

Also that guy who incline benches all sorts of crazy stuff on instagram, I think he hit 650 on incline with a duffalo bar, but I’m not sure how good he is flat. So much crazy potential, not to mention if Eddy Hall put some work in on bench he could probably get close to 7, even at a lighter body weight

@@Paolo-uq3fc the problem is that the true genetic outliers don't feel a need to compete. They're the types that already look jacked without ever being in the gym and bench over 224 their first time in the gym so they never really train.
@@Seraphim_Metal_Works that's ridiculous. A bunch of genetic outliers ALREADY compete. U think the average gym rat could ever bench 600 even while abusing every substance known to man? No. It takes impressive genetics for a 600 lb bench, and even more so for a 700 lb one. Yes, there are probably stronger guys that have never competed. But nobody will ever bench 1000 raw. And I disagree. The people that are so gifted they could set records usually do. I myself know a guy who benched more than 225 his first time ever, but he's nowhere close to 700. Good to see how mr spoto benchpress because we have the same beaching tecnique before i got to know about him in youtube. I feel like if a continue my gym workout i can attain much higher strenght on my benchpress just like what mr spoto attain.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. His elbows still go below his spine when he touches. Just because he's massive doesn't mean his range is that much smaller.
It takes a lot of strength to even lift 705lbs 1 inch off your chest though, let a alone a whole 12 inches which is probably Eric's full range of motion.
Clearly you know nothing about lifting if you think they got that strong from honing in on one exercise. Most elite lifters, like these guys, prefer a private gym where people aren't watching.
After witnessing this inhuman strength, it seems obvious that Eric is capable of matching, if not breaking the record of 715lb raw. He pressed 705lb without a struggle, it's insane.
Eric Doesn't max out in training he saves that for meets. If he could do a 722 competition bench he might be able to hit a 750 with typical gym goers form if he did it fast with a little bounce because every powerlifter can lift more in the gym when form doesnt matter then on competition day when it does.
"correct" exercise techniques don't apply to elite level lifters. at one point in time he probably benched "properly" (Ive come to hate using that word in this context) but part of the reason he is who he is and accomplished what he accomplished is because he threw the book out (so to speak) and did what works for him
How does anyone dislike this video. If you lift weights or even if you don’t how can you not appreciate this video. Spoto is a beast of the bench press and Stan is the fucking man. The way spoto presses is like a piston he is a very impressive presser.
Taking roids doesn't automatically make you stronger, it just increases gains. You still need to work hard to be able to lift 705lbs. You just loose your braging rights if you've used steroids to do it.
negative captain. if a foreign substance induces the body to do things it cannot do in its natural state, its very much so responsible for all the gains. a human skeleton and joint can only take so much without reaching its moment of inertia. When you take a drug to drastically increase and actually generate new skeletal tissue, there's no comparison to what a person can naturally do.

Thumbs up just for the Deftones song
yup
Good to see how mr spoto benchpress because we have the same beaching tecnique before i got to know about him in youtube. I feel like if a continue my gym workout i can attain much higher strenght on my benchpress just like what mr spoto attain.

Dude was playing around with 315 💀😂😭😭😭
5:50 , Lol imagine this dude taking your bench in between sets and walking off like that... What would you do lmao
Absolutely nothing...next exercise haha
"Yeah, I ... was feeling a bit sore today anyway....."
lol ***** Rellek
Shhhiiiiiiidddddd he could have it, just witnessed greatness
N o t h i n g.
wow this vid never gets old
Eric spoto has a short ass arm range so it makes it easy for him to lift, Stan is way more beast overall
Thank you! I've been wondering about this forever.
Eric benches the way I bench in my dreams. Gawd dang!
Not stronger than Brad Castleberry
Strongest dude EVER.........
spoto is an amazing presser
These are the type of people who only go to the gym to do one workout and want you to look at them while they do it
damn, only took him one workout to hit 705? imagine what he'd bench if he actually lifted while people weren't looking!!
wtf wich direction do you want to go with this shit?
Clearly you know nothing about lifting if you think they got that strong from honing in on one exercise. Most elite lifters, like these guys, prefer a private gym where people aren't watching.
treu, he got owned
I bet he can out lift you in any lift. Weak people always hate behind their keyboards.
After witnessing this inhuman strength, it seems obvious that Eric is capable of matching, if not breaking the record of 715lb raw. He pressed 705lb without a struggle, it's insane.
if that big guy actually benched right his max would be another good 50-75 pounds
spoto's max is 722
Eric Doesn't max out in training he saves that for meets. If he could do a 722 competition bench he might be able to hit a 750 with typical gym goers form if he did it fast with a little bounce because every powerlifter can lift more in the gym when form doesnt matter then on competition day when it does.
"correct" exercise techniques don't apply to elite level lifters. at one point in time he probably benched "properly" (Ive come to hate using that word in this context) but part of the reason he is who he is and accomplished what he accomplished is because he threw the book out (so to speak) and did what works for him
You made the exact same comment in another video OP.
You just loose your braging rights if you've used steroids to do it.
well said. I'm so tired of everyone just yelling "steroids" as if steroids replace hard work, dedication, solid diet and rest.
negative captain. if a foreign substance induces the body to do things it cannot do in its natural state, its very much so responsible for all the gains. a human skeleton and joint can only take so much without reaching its moment of inertia. When you take a drug to drastically increase and actually generate new skeletal tissue, there's no comparison to what a person can naturally do.
@@KapitalJustice if you don't do it steroid free and raw then it is not 100% you, is how i feel. i want it to be 100%me.
