I have this song on a record, unfortunately it names no choir although it gives a good description of the song.
To emphasize the psychological impact of the blitzkrieg, the old Landsknecht song DER TOD IN FLANDERN (Death in Flanders) was revived. The Landsknecht were elite German troops of the Holy Roman Empire (the First Reich) whose tactics of concentrated firepower and swift assault were the Medieval equivalent of the blitzkrieg. Their song warns that "Death rides a coal-black horse, when the Landsknecht marches onto the field-" and when they open fire, "Death lets his horse trample the foe."
