Thank you so much for this great video. All that vintage race cars brought back so much memories the cars we dream of as a kid from posters, tvs, magazines, die-cast, radio control cars.
Great video. Thank you. I went to FOS a couple of times many, many years ago. Clearly the crowds are much bigger now. As a keen amateur motorsport photographer I’d find the size of the crowds now to be frustrating for good shots. I take it you had professional access entitlement given the locations of many of your shots.
Thanks for the kind words of appreciation, yes in this video I have a media accreditation to be in those privileged locations. What a remarkable edition it's been!
Miles I literally live for these comments! You guys provide the motivation to keep going, seeing that my passion is so widely shared by like-minded people like you. Thank you.
0:23 Let's take a minute to thank Porsche for not censoring their historic Rothmans livery!!!! I hate Mclaren who are removing Marlboro from their historic F1 cars. I'm not a smoker, I hate smoking, but you can't deny it's the millions of tobacco sponsoring that allowed these cars/teams to run in the past. I loved the Marlboro mclaren and Williams Rothmans liveries, and realy don't understand why some teams are censoring their own cars?
The yellow Avenger was from 2007. You can tell from the lack of a big wing and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series logo being shown, unlike the blue 2008 Avenger with the wing and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series logo. (Sprint of Kansas City, bought out Nextel of Denver in 2006, and Nextel was gone by the end of the 2007 season, that year saw the Avenger debut as part of the Car of tomorrow/Gen 5 Cup car package. The Ford Fusion had a decent run, Jimmie Johnson won a few titles with a Chevrolet Impala, Toyota, in their rookie Nextel Cup year ran a Camry with no success, and Dodge ran the Avenger with only 1 win in 2007... The solo win for Juan Pablo Montoya in the Havoline 42 car at Sonoma.) Also, Dave Marcis (former Cup driver until 2002) drove that Dodge Daytona, (not in this video though...) however... when he raced it, it was bright blue with a yellow 71 on the sides. However, when the car was decommissioned, Winston (the Cup Series sponsor from 1972-2003) refurbished it into a showpiece to promote Winston with its strong ties to NASCAR... Marcis was the very last Cup race winner who built his own engine for his car, and that was in 1982 (race 2 of that year at Richmond in a Chevrolet Malibu for team owner JD Stacy, in car 71)
There's no particular better day than other, although keep in mind Friday is always for new unveilings and presentations. Sunday is also when they usually do main parades and themed group drives up the hill, not to mention the RAF historic planes doing a pass over the venue at midday. I'd say get in there all 3 days and just enjoy it at fullest.
Great to see James Hunts car still Racing & not sitting some Museum with the Fluids turning into Tar and Gaskets /drying up .👩🏻🚀🤘🏻🏎️🏁🚩⛰️🌲 Sir Jackie Stuart too still out there as support to the us Younger Enthusiast. Travis Pastrana car too
Yeah the best part is always the glorious cars of yesteryear. And the drivers that made the history of motorsport. Jackie even grabbed my arm in the paddock haha
@racecars.universe Awesome the Hand of the Legend saying you can make a difference in Motorsports.. Whether being a Race Driver, a Commentator, Mechanic Engineer in Aero Dynamic Design. He wanted you to remember, and saying you can be the History he started. Just like Lewis Hamilton & Max Verstappen today. They don't realize the effect of Inspiration. Until they retire from the constant training Starting their own family... As they get to age they realize they did make a difference.👩🏻🚀🤘🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩 Great footage and editing. I'm in Los Angeles, California by the way.
Most of the Same Cars Apart from a Small Few When i Went there 10 Years Years Ago,Its a Shame There is Not Much Happening These Days With New Racing Cars.
This is getting old now, it needs to change. I would like to see more historical cars and less of the cars you could buy if you have too much money. This is turning into a catwalk of sorts.
The format is old but you also gotta understand there's only a finite number of cars still drivable in the whole world. Good thing would be having collectors finally taking them out for a spin. Museum do that already, most of these cars come from there
787b! the sound is musical ! love it
The best ever

Jackie Stewart dusting off the tire before he sits on it lol
And I thought he did it as a courtesy to his son driving it...!
@@racecars.universeIf you look in the main comments section. I pointed out a few things, and maybe an error.

Hey man,
Great vid i wish i could go this year , just wanted to know are you going to all 3 days?
Yep that's the plan!
@racecars.universe oh cool, what day would you say is best to go to overall?

@@racecars.universe oh ok great definitely subbing. I'm probably gonna go next year.
Thanks brother, I appreciate that. And good luck with your trips, we might as well meet there next year haha

Thanks brother I appreciate your feedback
The guy beside Herbert plugging his ears when the 787 was getting fired up ? Someone needs to escort that man off the property 😅
He's actually a brilliant stuntman
@@racecars.universe who plugged his ears for the best sounding engine of all time.
Can't help with that. Totally agree with you, I didn't even bother bringing earplugs to good wood, half of the experience is hearing them
2:48 I really miss Kmart
Who else is here for the brraap-brraap-brraap?
Haha definitely me 🙋♂️
Lots of stares at good wood
I’ll take the Le Mans winning 917 K #23 thank you.
That is the most incredible car I've ever seen in person. The fact that 2 of them were there made it a compound effect
Hans Hermann and Richard Atwood #23 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe 🚘🚘👍👍😎😎
🙏🙏🙏
Most of the Same Cars Apart from a Small Few When i Went there 10 Years Years Ago,Its a Shame There is Not Much Happening These Days With New Racing Cars.
Yes it's like music, those were the best times indeed.
Hang on a bit and the new Hypercars will be going up the hill 😂 I'd love to see that myself.
It’s kinda cool that they keep these beast alive tho for that long .
I think it's incredible to see these glorious cars in the flesh. Even though they get invited multiple times every different year at FOS
You can see Chinese EVs 👍🏻😂
so no P1 drift car for mad mike, thats unlucky but also not surprisingly either, they started the project only 100 days ago
It’s here and it will be running its only got unveiled today
Yeah only unveiled today. I'm planning to go see it back in New Zealand when and if the car returns there. Not sure what the plans are with the P1
Where is Extension Rebellion LoL ?.

Pretty good video; however, you walked right by a Ford GT 40 and didn't say a word or take any video of it; got a thing against Fords?
new to the channel I see...better watch my other videos before making such comments
😃
😉
God electric cars suck !!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha big time!
