I'm sure you'll get all kinds of criticism for moving too quickly...but I so appreciate not having to watch you make every stitch! Thank you for your tutorial...soles are my nemesis...this is a big help.

I've been a knitter for many years, but never picked up crochet. I just wanted you to know that seeing this pattern on facebook inspired an obsessive three hour crochet youtube tutorial binge so that I could finally make these. I've broken into crochet because of you, and the bootie sole I've made with your help is much more passable than I thought I was capable of! Thank you for the work you put into this.

I’m a fairly accomplished knitter; and I toil away with crochet, each time I undertake booties it takes me multiple times to get something viable. I prefer a sole that mimics the foot shape. The other comments are perfect, you are a great teacher, thank you! I’m subscribing

I.LOVE.YOU! I learned to knit and crochet when I was 7 or 8 and picked knitting back up 4 years ago but I CANNOT for the life of me crochet - I can't comprehend the patterns. I know what it's saying I just can't DO it - but now! NOW I think I can master these baby sandals that I've been wanting to give as gifts! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

This is the simplest video for a sole I've seen. I was able to follow it without pulling out one stitch. That says a lot! I will use this as my base sole for all my footwear projects. Thank you for the video.

You're the only person that makes the baby soles like I do. They fit very well, since newborns feet typically are not chubby yet, so the little feet are not swimming in traditional size booties or shoes.

This is one of the easiest soles to make and it really looks like the bottom of a baby's foot. I had trouble with the count at first because I was missing the sc crochet before each 2 sc count in the 3 count, and also not adding the sc crochet before each of the 5 count sc. After I watched your video again and followed the actual count I realized my error. It is so easy to follow now. Plan on using this sole for all bootie projects. Thanks.

This is by far one of the better soles on the web for crochet patterns for baby slipper soles. I make up a bunch of these, in various colors, whenever I have a few spare moments and store them up. You can use them as contrasting colors to the rest of the bootie even; very handy if one has a lot of scraps of unused wool in various colors too, and especially good if one is making baby boy booties. :)

Hello! I love the little shoes and would love to make them for a co-worker. I’ve watched your RUclips videos and have tried following the written patterns. However, I am always off on the 3rd step when making the sole. I am trying to make the 0-3 months. You loose me when stating “2 sc in next stitch* work 3 times”. Are you meaning to do 2 sc in the next “4” stitches or doing a total of 3?
Also I always come out with too many stitches left over on the 3rd round. And in the video, I tried to count you and you showed to do more 2sc stitches at the end before doing the last stretch of 7 sc stitches to finish.
If I am confusing you, I apologize. I just have tried so many different ways that you may have meant it, and none of them come out correct. And it is just the 3rd round. I’m good on stitch count until I try finishing the 3rd round.
    Please please help me.

bethany dearden hi I am a beginner as well. When I get better I'll start buying your patterns cause they're great! For the 6-9 month, you mentioned with the asterisk (*) that I should repeat 3 times and another one to repeat 5 times. Can I know if I am doing the one within the asterisk once then adding an extra five times so that would count as doing the asterisk instruction 6 times in total?

i just looked at the instructions on your site for size 3-6, and after what we see in this video it says to "Sc 19. Hdc 14. Sc 9. Sl st and tie off. " and then we have the color switch from the middle of the heel. in your next video for the rest of the shoe "baby bubble boots" it starts off with the color change without this extra row. could you please clarify if i need the extra row for this size or not. Thank you!!

Thank you Bethany for responding back to me. I went and I looked on your website, and it only gave me how many inches it should be. I am sorry to be a pain, but I am still a beginner. So, sense it's 11 chains for the 3-6 months, would it be 10 chains for 0-3 months, and 12 chains for 9-12 months? Please let me know if that is correct. I do better in numbers than inches. HA! HA!
