    My daughter and baby girl were visiting from Prague this week and I made these during her naps. My daughter was SO delighted and amused! Thank you so much for your very clear and easy to follow directions. She is a petite 7 month old, but I simply went up a hook size to make them come out a little bigger. They are perfect. Her teenaged step-siblings will be so amused -- especially as Chuck Taylors were at the top of their list of things to purchase on their trip to the US this summer.

    I have been looking online for a video that I can follow and this one is perfect. I can knit and crochet ... but the crochet ones look better to me. I don't read patterns ... grandmother never showed me that skill. But if I rewatch and do along with video I should be fine. I wanna make a pair for my co-workers newest addition. 🙏🏾🤞🏾...

    I made these about a year ago, while I was learning to crochet. Digging around over the weekend I found them and my now pregnant daughter asked me to make some for the baby. I used Paris drops cotton and they have turned out so cute!! Made gloves to match and once we know babies sex will either make a bonnet or flatcap to match. Thank you for the pattern. Off to make a few more pairs.

    I so appreciate how thorough you are. I started crocheting about 45 days ago, and I was always one stitch off and couldn't figure it out. But with your tutorial with showing where the proper end slip stitch should go, I was able to successfully complete the project without becoming frustrated or redo the stitches. I thoroughly enjoyed this project! Thank you.

    Hi Stephanie! I love your work! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this! I will say that I was struggling with the sole. The double crochet stitches seemed to "bubble " out, or stick out on the bottom of the shoe.. I finally started to do the yarn over in the front, not the back, and now I have a flat sole! I've been crocheting for a long time and didn't know that!Thanks for the new technique! 😊

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! The first time I made a pair of baby converse booties I could only find a tutorial that was either in Russian (I think) or only had subtitles and no sound. That was in 8 separate videos to complete each bootie. It was very tedious to go through and write out the pattern from those videos, but I did it and they turned out pretty well. Your tutorial, however, was very easy to follow and write out the pattern along with the video. (so I can refer to that for the other bootie) Your instructions are clear and well-paced, and I really appreciate your time and effort! Thanks again from one very happy hoo... I mean crocheter... 😁

    I was going to say that I made this small pair but my great grand baby boy grew to fast and could not wear them. I promised them another pair. Thank you Sharon

      I don't have a larger size available right now. You can try using a 5-6 mm crochet hook and heavier weight yarn, this should make them a bit bigger.

    Hi! I love these! Started some, and your instructions are so clear and helpful!
    I’ve read all the comments and responses- you don’t have larger baby or toddler/kid sizes. I understand types of yarn and size of needle, but would you suggest adding stitches anywhere for larger sizes? If so, where and how many? Thank you for your advice!

    I just finish making one. Easier than it seems. The only problem was I had too reduce the hook size from 4.5 to 4.0. Even though it measures 4" it still seems large. I don't have babies at home. I went to Target to measure baby shoes 3-6 mos and the size was perfect.

    I just finished a pair and they look so cute. For a larger size I ch'd 12 for the sole. My sides looked too high so omitted last row of sides...cut and tied off after row 8, then did the sides trimming. Also decreased only once at beginning and end of row 5 because my ankle looked too narrow and did 7 sc across toe edge instead of 6.

      Correction. I cut and tied off after row 8.

      @@StephanieZed They did. thanks. But today I'm gonna try the larger hook idea you suggested.... Which I'd forgotten about and make baby a second pair in another color. I think that'll be easier.

    Hey Stephanie. Thank you so much for the pattern. You are an excellent teacher. I would like to make this for my 6 month old can you guide me regarding how to increase the size.

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  5 лет назад +1

      If you would like to increase the size you can use a larger hook, maybe 5 or 5.5. Also you could make a looser stitch, or less tension. Good Luck.

      I would like to make these for an 15
      Month old. Is there a chance
      it or aid to help me with determining how many chains I need to add
      To the start?

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  4 года назад

      I would crochet the pattern the way it is, just using the larger hook and yarn.😃
