    Moyes has by his admission been sitting on a contract offer since Feb. If thats the case, surely by now, he knows if he is signing it or not? If he has no intention of signing it then absolutely the club needs to sort out a replacement now and I suspect thats what we are seeing. The "big" complaint with moyes is not the style of football. It's refusing to use the youngsters, selling off players and not replacing them, NOT getting results (we've been awful in the league since the start of 2022 with our best ever squad). He can't use subs, he can't manage a squad, he can't sign players: Lopetegui may very well be mediocre but you would struggle to find a manager as incompetent as moyes.
    Also this insulting pellegrini thing... pellegrini got sacked on 19 games 19 points. Last season moyes got 15 points in the first 19 games. Pellegrini had to deal with the clown keeper roberto, Moyes has again had one of our best ever keepers in Areola (ofc he was too dumb to play him the first 2 years for some weird reason). Pellegrini also found Rice and gave him his chance. Moyes would never, ever have given him a look in, that's £100mil we definitely would never have seen, he'd be in the U21s or sitting forlonely on the bench like all the rest.

  • @grantburrell
    @grantburrell 12 дней назад +26

    Moyes is a big part of the problem. Moyes plays 11 players that's it. If you are not in the team you probably never will be. We have no bench NONE and even the little we have on the bench, Moyes doesn't trust. You can see that the atmosphere is not good amongst the players.
    He just said we are terrible defensively this year because we haven't got Rice. But defensively Alvarez is just as good as Rice. The man doesn't take any accountability for anything. I wasn't Moyes out until two weeks ago when I got tired of him trying to deflect the blame from himself.

    How can you support DM. He has destroyed all of the players. He overplays his ‘chosen’ (12 players (Souceck et al … played out of position and in a way they don’t want to play) to the point of exhaustion (and frustration). He underplays his ‘bench’ (Cornet, Johnson etc.) so they are never match fit. He never plays his academy players. I feel little or no sympathy for DM he destroys the potential of players … particularly the young. So on this alone (and there are other factors), he should go.

Keep the pitchforks sharpened for Lope, and that same energy that greeted Moyes when he came, won a Euro trophy (like Lope), took us out of the bottom half of the table. Moyes got 450m pounds out of Sullivan in agreement with whatever SULLIVAN wanted, not Moyes. Wait until Lope knocks on the door for money!

    Let’s have this right- Moyes stated about six weeks ago that he was not signing a new contract put in front of him and that he would wait until the end of the season to decide on his future. Consequently the club had no choice but to put into motion the search for a possible replacement.. The results ever since Moyes made his choice have continued to be be awful. This has left the club zero choice but to force the issue and replace him. What would you do? It’s totally reasonable behaviour by the West Ham United board.

  • @markchandler5860

    We are not saying we expect top 4 or anything outrageous we are saying why can't we play better football whilst competing in top ten for euro places, given the financial strength our club has over the majority of the league.
    Moyes has only a handful of wins in 2024, the second worst defensive record in the league, after spending 95m on center backs and playing the most cautious low block football.
    He sold our squad depth in jan and didn't replace them because he said he wants a small squad...
    Then he blames going out the cups and losing games on the other teams having bigger squads.
    Our youth teams have been winning things and he still refuses to use them.
    We've spent nearly 500m on incomings in his time and he's built the smallest and 2nd oldest squad in the league.
    These are all things that any fan base would question...
    We have been in the top 20 euro rich list for a decade but we are the only club in that list not allowed to question poor management.

Last year was a transition from the old relegation battling team of the old regime and th7s year shall be different, etc. Saved us from from going down and 3 years of euro football that I'd never thought I'd see, top ten finishes . Arguably the best assembled all-around sqaud we have ever had with nit relying on certain players.
    But he has not adapted his style to the players hes had, only plays tge sane players over and over, never does subs until the end of games, the players are burnt out and so our good support players left as they never played (even thoe they deserve to) relying on players who despite there fantastic services in the past are not the level we need them to be and invites pressure even thoe when our players are given freedom they are brilliant on the frobt foot ....that is what these pundits who dont watch west ham do not realise.
    Moyes has wasted a golden opportunity to off took us to tge next level that maybe of been missed as now tge vultures will circle for our top players.
    That is the reasoning of the fans.

    I am and have been Moyes out for quite some time, but the way this has been handled is all very grubby. David Moyes will have walked at the end of the season in any case, as he knows the squad is in a seriously poor state now. It’s aged, small and not good enough to stay out of a relegation battle next year. The football this year has been enough to make your eyes bleed it has been that dull. Let’s not forget how Moyes left Alex Karl crying in his car, Pablo Fornals crying on the pitch because he had treated them so badly. He is no angel but he will go with my thanks though.

    Moyes won a European trophy in which we were favourites to win... Thats good but not the big thing everyone makes out, and his premier league form has been poor, most goals we've conceded in a season from a manager who is good at defensive football

    Talking absolute rubbish! Amorim is a risk pay 12 mill plus wages, if it doesn't work out sack him and you're left with severance and lost 12 mill. Plus his style of football is to play it out from the back. West ham playing out from the back? Yeh no chance. We need the right balance playing super high attacking football is not gonna happen lets be real fellow hammers, Lopetegui strikes the right balance. Solid defending but knows how to attack. Those attacking the board for making these moves, we do not know what's happened in the background, Moyes may have said a couple months ago I am not staying no way! So what the board are expected to sit on their hands and do nothing until everyone has peed off on holiday? End of the day the board own the club which is a business and in business you can't be the nice guy all the time, tough decision have be made.

    If anyone wants an example of why fans are fed up of Moyes, just watch us against Newcastle, in full control but moyes still managed to ruin it with his decisions. Honestly watch it if you dare. The reason we have some good players is because of tim. Moyes was desperate for more poor defensive players. I would love to see Moyes do another season just to show how bad it will be, and then the pundits and people who haven't watched west ham games will see that next season will be a disaster. We have the smallest oldest squad with a really bad defensive record from a manger who plays defensively. If we lose one of our top players we will be fighting a relegation battle with Moyes

    From a wolves fan - give me the choice between O'Neil and lopetegui, I'd pick O'Neil every day
    Lopetegui is a competant manager, but...
    His play style is boring
    He had no relationship with the fans
    He was always a misery
    He was always complaining
    Molenioux always had a nervy 'walking on eggshells' atmosphere with him
    He said he wasn't financially backed - while everyone forgets he was given a blank check in the January transfer window
    The way he treated some of the wolves players was appauling - some of which are now playing the best football if their careers under O'Neil
    He just had such a negative victim presence around him.
    I don't see how he's an upgrade under Moyes

  • @TonyHammer61
    @TonyHammer61 11 дней назад

    Lopetegui didn't leave Wolves because he thought the squad wasn't good enough. He left because the owners lied to him three times. He left on principal. Get your facts right. It was YOU the media who were talking about Moyes leaving. Nothing came out from the club. Moyes said publicly that he was not going to make a decision on his future until the end of the season. What was the club supposed to do? Wait until 30th June to look for a replacement. How do you know that Moyes didn't tell the owners that he wasn't going to leave and gave his blessing on looking for a replacement? You don't Matterface. Get off your high horse.
