@@amyfaith2350 In Ukraine people don't paint walls in those old houses. Chalk liquid was used every year on the walls. So, the previous owners didn't want to do it that way and glued the wallpaper instead.

The work was burning in your hands, you did so much in one day. An old house that could be turned into a summer kitchen, a beautiful historic oven where you can bake bread. This grandparents' house has such potential that I envy you. Will you show what is in the attic, there is such a large window, is there a room and how to get there? Greetings from Poland.

    Hi Luba and Pavlo,
something about the painting, that might help you a lot. Our paint, these days (I'm german. Sorry. Trying to explain it the best I can.)
are based on Alcyd-harz. These harden by absorbing moisture from the air. Takes up to 8 weeks to harden.
The company CWS has a 2nd component, that will allow this to happen in some 3 hours. I can send you a link, but youtube will block it, until you allow it.
This could make your work a lot easier.
I'll send you the link as soon as you ask for it.
    Great job, you're doing there!

I am enjoying the transformation. The "special lock" on that small house is an antique. Very unusual design. For internet satellite dish is the clear answer. Something to think about is to look at the boiler and pump long before winter. I see the radiators in all the rooms and know that a system unused for years requires some maintenance to restart it safely and have it work properly. Hydronic heat systems are very good heat and reliable. Also, if you intend to use those huge stoves please check the flue carefully as many animals will nest in them if they can. I know it is early summer but this is the time to arrange for wood for your winter's heat. If you wait till fall there will be none to have. Please look carefully at the front doors. From the style of them I would expect very fine wood under all that nasty paint. Refinished carefully they could be very beautiful. A good start towards your country palace.
