I’m obsessed with this house! It reminds me of my grandparents original farmhouse that unfortunately burned down in rural Missouri. They rebuilt the house but a lot of the charm and beauty just wasn’t there in the rebuild. My grandmother still lives in the rebuild to this day and is 103!

Friends of mine bought an old farm house, once. They had a Chevrolet Camper. They drove it into the barn section of the house; sealed the barn door from the inside. And started to refurbish the house. 1st was the bathroom. Then the kitchen. And so on...
When I 1st met them, it was time to open up the barn door and drive the camper out: the living room was finally finished.
It had taken them about 2years. But they did not have to pay rent, to live somewhere else.
Your project kinda reminds me of that.
Funny: over here, we just had Surimi (those crab sticks), too!

I love this so much. It would be amazing to be able to go back to my grandmother's house on the farm and clean it. Cleaning is an act of love in itself and to clean off the counter tops and cupboards and cabinets, the very same ones I remember her tending to 60 years ago when I was 2-4 years old and my perspective was so different, it would be a beautiful experience. Bless you both for the respect you show for the house and the loved ones that lived there in the past.

Luba seems to love cleaning up and decorating this house! I'd prefer a water filter for the water out of the well.

A little bit of bleach in that well will sterilize it, maybe a 8-10 oz should do.
Also, we had 3 hand dug shallow wells growing up. All were dug by my grandfather. Probably 40” in diameter and 12 to 16 feet deep. He lined them with rocks and also dug a narrow ditch into it that we ran a 1” poly water pipe. The pipe was about 3’ off of the floor of the well. You would need to add a foot valve to the inside of the well. This will keep the pump primed.
This pipe was connected to a jet pump with a small pressure tank inside the basement.
I bet with some hard work you and Luna could do the same and have running water.
I love these people. I've watched them on this channel for a while. I'm genuinely happy for them. I am also genuinely concerned for them. Am I the only one that is not living in a bubble? May God continue to protect this family.

I’m absolutely delighted to see you getting right after fixing the place up so quickly!! It certainly looks a whole lot better following your efforts. I wish I lived closer so I could plumb the house for you with running water and an indoor toilet! The hardest part would be installing a leach field in the back yard to dispose of the waste water, but even that is doable.
I wish you and Luba the very best in your efforts with the house. Just think, a new place for Luba to make her great cooking videos.

Women do think ahead about fixing thi gs up, and they bring the things to do it.
Looks good, Pavlo and Luba. It may be a good idea to check the roof to see if it is sound and no leaks anywhere. Also to check if any squirrels or birds have started nesting in the attic as that would make it difficult to live comfortably. I always loved the yards the country folks had. They were gardens and herbs instead of grass. They didn’t waste anything they had but used everything. Such a great way to live.
It was you first video on this house, that made me start thinking about moving to Ukraine. Glad to see the house again, even if its just for a quick clean up.

interesting video . what a great job you are doing , brining life back to this place , this home will be lovely once some upgrades and maintenance has been done. some interesting forgotten era items as well. love watching your videos . id love to visit Ukraine by motorcycle tour one day....after the red menace has left your country though .
This is a beautiful old house with original woodwork, wooden floors, if you like houses like this, it has a lot of potential. Does the house have an attic? if so, I would convert the kitchen into a bathroom with a toilet, and in the entrance part I would make a staircase to the attic. Sand the floor, remove the paint from the door, turn the first room into a kitchen with a dining room, and then a large room that will be a living room, and there are two more bedrooms plus two rooms in the attic. Probably the water came up and the septic tank on the site, so there is not much work and if someone could do small repairs himself, then the house would be unrecognizable. But this is my vision, I love such houses and I wouldn't You can't live in anything else but such an old house with a soul. Greetings from Poland, you are a very nice couple.

Good job guys! It’s looking so great! I have 141 acres of forest land, with a small modest 1200 sq ft cabin on the creek that runs through my property. Still in the middle of repairing it as well. At one time, mine actually needed a little more work than yours. The structure of that place seems to be in great shape.
I really hope that from here on out, Ukraine and the US will forever be joined. The vast majority of us think very highly of your people.
