Feeling Yourself Disintegrate is one of my all time favorite Flaming Lips songs and captures a similar euphoric sadness you described. Hope you guys check it out!
I genuinely can't stop listening to you on Spotify. Sooo cool. Specially Old Soul. OMG. So good. Better in the right times of the day, or life, but there are a lot that fit to your music. Thank you
There's a great podcast called "Song Exploder" and each episode features an artist detailing the creating of one of their songs, usually including original demos, etc. A recent episode was on this song and hearing the story of how it came together and listening to all the layers they added was fantastic. Definitely check it out if you're interested in the production of this beautiful track.
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1 is my all time favorite. The little sounds and fills in the background are epic

Flaming Lips - yes! This album (Yoshimi) is a true masterpiece. Every single song is deserving of its own reaction video : )
The Spark that Bled and/or Feeling Yourself Disintegrate are both great songs.
They are from the album Soft Bulletin which is phenomenal
I agree on both of these but Feeling Yourself Disintegrate is so special.

They are currently wrapping up a tour of doing this album and then other songs. Seeing them live is a wonderful experience.
“Bittersweet beautiful euphoria” is an excellent description!
A Spoonful Weighs a Ton, Waiting for Superman, Fight Test, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt 1 are all great songs worth a listen.

The Flaming Lips well is deep and weird.
Best song Miley Cyrus ever made, "Bang Me Box" was funkily backed up by "Flaming Lips". Awesome bass line, btw
