Got goosebumps when the beat dropped after the calm with heavier drum beatings, violent strings and choir vocals from Liberi Fatali, it sounds like the battle hitting the apex, I only wish that part was longer. This rendition made the music go from random battle music to boss battle.
All those puritans who think the Liberi Fatali chant doesn't fit because it's from a different FF can shove it up their arse, it was a genius and awesome edit. Have you no soul or imagination, you can't picture a heroic battle during that peak?
You just cant get bored of this theme. Really pumps me up everytime.
It's people like you that deserve spotlights, this is eargasmic.
Love the breakdown at 0:55 and the burst at 1:14. Truly epic!

Damn. The addition of Liberi Fatali after half duration really increased my heart beat rate. I probably gonna have some heart attack if I am against a final boss while this battle theme is playing.

Typically I wouldn’t care for the ffviii addition. Keep FFVII music with FFVII & FFVIII with FFVIII. But I’m not gonna lie, that shyt was tits.

Ran into this over facebook. I have to say, this remake of the original brings nostalgia to a whole new level. I say keep making those classic tracks that any player of Final Fantasy would know and do what you do best. It certainly made my late night returning to those good old times with FF7.
God.. I would hope the remake would have this exact song for the battle theme! This is a perfect recreation of the song and I'd want nothing different. It really captures the essence of the original track!

Then when the latin words from FF8 come in. That's it. No better cover of this song exists IMO. I know it's from a different game, but it just fits like a glove in this track.

For FF music remake, only Enrico Deiana is the closest to that of the game Final Fantasy VII Remake. ED was ahead of their time, I have been listening to their music remake for years and now still crying in chill and happiness. Thank you ED!

Personally I think this captures the “Midgar” feeling better than the actual remake version
This feels more industrial which is kinda what Midgar was all about

I played the Final Fantasy 7 New Threat mod with this OST. So well done. I love the piano breakdown then the FF8 vocals. Feels like ur taking on a boss
I love the overemphasis on the drums! Makes it way more epic with that powerful bass feel
I love this song! I feel like maybe a little too much emphasis on strings where an electric guitar/flute/sax mix might have given a bit more oomf, but its one of the best rendition of Those who Fight I've ever heard. I'd love to hear you cover the other VII battle themes.

My first exposure to the FF series was via FF7 on the PC. At first I didn’t pay attention to the battle theme. But when it stuck, I’d always hum it silently during our exams lol

I love the piano bit ^.^ very J-E-N-O-V-A'ry mixing it with the "those who fight theme"... but putting the FFVIII "liberi fatali" lyrics kinda ruied it for me personally.
This Theme song is so epic that i press the LIKE button so EPICLY,and then you go Goosebumps.
This has to be the perfect version to use for the remake. :D It adds a modern flare, extends a little bit, and keeps the same tempo and pace of the original. Bravo. ^_^
