Wow, didn't realize how much I loved this until I listened to it by itself. It really does feel like a modern version of the original. If you listen with headphones, you can hear the metallic clangs in the background just like in the original!
Orchestrated arrangements are just the most perfect things ever i'm SOOOOOOOOOOO happy they went in this direction that's why KH 3's music felt so grand

They got it so fucking right! It has all the poppiness and classic sounding bits infused with a new modern take. I love it. For instance at 0:31 the sound like someones dropping a metal bar or clanging some together, a small but huge attention to detail.

Man, the "metal sounds" incorporated in the battle theme REALLY bring me back to the old JRPG games of the golden era of PS1. They somehow reminded me of the other games such as Chrono Cross and Xenogears (albeit coming from Yasunori Mitsuda's work ). Brings tears to my eyes :').

XD Granted, Nanaki is 50 and Vincent is MORE OR LESS in his 50s as well (if you include the time he was sleeping), so that will get me through 20 or so episodes... XD ...oh yeah, and this theme is great. A worthy new version. It sounds almost like a boss battle, though, but this playing in parts like the Pillar scene or the taking of the rocket...will be EPIC!!

Weirdly enough - me too. There is very few songs in video gaming that emotionally move me in a way like FF7. First time hearing the new fight song in the trailer, my eyes teared up 😭😭😭🎶
The main thing I that stands out in this soundtrack remake (any version) that I absolutely love is the heavy metal iron striking sound effects they used. It reminds me a bit of the Terminator 2 soundtrack.
I honestly was not sure if Uematsu was working on the music or not for certain until recently. I heard this music in the trailer and got so excited, but began to wonder if it was just promotional for the trailer. Knowing now though that Nobuo Uematsu is for certain working on the music again, I have no doubts whatsoever that I'll be pleased with the soundtrack! I'm so excited!!! Once again I have to say how pleased I am to hear those familiar sounds in this theme. 0:31 really got me jumping out of my seat and yelling! And I have to say this music here is put together very well! Great work!

To think this group of legends went and raided north crater to take the planetery calamity jenova and god sephiroth to save the planet single handedly might be reanimated in hd. They world class heroes !!! In octopath traveler it is also 8 characters who end up saving the world. You can see where the inspiration came from !!
This is amazing, they managed to keep the original "soul" of the 90's song but give it a fresh/modern sound nonetheless! Really an outstanding job! I'm so happy! Can't wait for this game, seriously
As much I love the final version, this one feels more energetic and heart-warmed. I felt like this should be included in Part 2 and that female choir is just beautiful at the end.
Thankfully my 2 uncles 2 older cousins and I are still alive we all vowed to stay alive until we can all play and beat the final fantasy vii remake 100% depending on how long it takes I may be the one to finish this since I am still young. I am their prodigy!! And once I finish I shall look up and say see this brothers I did it.
I would be willing to buy Cloud, Midgar, and all of the FFVII conten as DLC again at double price if it meant at least three new tracks being added as well as all five (or more) tracks being the new remakes. This music is just awesome, and the Fight On song is still pretty good despite it not resembling the old song all that well at the moment.

I would be willing to buy Cloud, Midgar, and all of the FFVII conten as DLC again at double price if it meant at least three new tracks being added as well as all five (or more) tracks being the new remakes. This music is just awesome, and the Fight On song is still pretty good despite it not resembling the old song all that well at the moment.

Better yet, make another Final Fantasy DLC character (maybe Black Mage?) with another stage and have it add music from all over the franchise. Including a new remix of One Winged Angel. It's a damn violation of the Geneva Convention that we didn't get that remix in the base game.
