Ford is recalling nearly 49,000 electric Mustang Mach-E SUVs and has told dealers to stop selling the ones on their lots due to a potential power loss issue. The problem stems from a high voltage battery main contactor that can overheat and either remain stuck open or weld closed following the use of a DC fast charger or repeated wide open accelerator pedal events. "If the contactor opens while driving, a powertrain malfunction warning light will be illuminated and the vehicle will display 'Stop Safely Now’ in the cluster when the vehicle experiences an immediate loss of motive power," Ford wrote in papers filed with the NHTSA.

I want the current gen titan. I like how they look tbh.
I bought a 2003 Ford Explorer with 236,000 miles with the 4.6 V8 got it for 1100 need a new wheel bearings in the front replace those did a brake job got smaller rims and the thing is running just fine do the oil change on it spark plug change on it and I’m currently at 241K
Toyota settled a class action law suit to repair rusted out frames from in the 90’s 3 billion. Excellent trucks just check the chassis.
LOL! I had a damn near totaled Tacoma back in the day and took it in for frame check. Gave me $10,000 cash and walked out of dealer with a 5 year old 4Runner with 60,000 miles and all maintenance records 😂😂
We had a older Toyota truck too and it was four wheel drive had 640,000 miles it's still ran great but one day I sunk it in a mud hole that was 3 years ago it's gone now but if that never happened that I bet it would still be running it would probably be at $800,000 miles now
Nice buy! Cost is a matter of opinion 💸
Bought myself an 05 for my landscaping business. Damn good purchase
129k miles for 8900 in good condition too!
The only problem with that is that you can't tow too much (legally and safely) I know cause I've had 2 for landscaping. Now down to one tundra and one HD truck
I have a 08 tundra that I will keep forever.
I did buy a used Tundra a little over a year ago! 2010.
I have a 2010 Tundra I bought in 2012 with 32,000 miles. Paid the guy $25,000 for it. Now 10 years later it has 233,000 still runs like new. Other than brakes 1 time, oil and tires, the only problem was replaced the starter at 200,000. Great truck.
I have 530k on mine
Gen1 Raptor!!!! That’s right!
As far as reliable I agree, the opd Tundras are indestructible. But as far as hauling, towing heavy loads, nope they just can't do that.
Painted with bed liner?
YES Scotty! I love my Tundra Crewmax Limited with an V8 engine 💪 on my way to the million miles Tundra club 👍
Ha ha haha 😆 my buddies 1996 GMC Sierra had 540,000 miles on the factory original 5.7 and the four wheel drive still worked!!!!
Doubt your buddy's got a newer one with half that miles
HAY! Nothing wrong painting your car or truck with bed liner 😮💨
Love these trucks owned 4 of them
If you are confused about the price, it's just how reliable Toyotas are. Paid 14k for an 07 FJ Cruiser with 175k miles. Manual. That's a steal. Will outlast any Ford or Jeep 10 times over.
In 2012 I bought a 2002 F350 7.3L diesel 6spd manual 4x4 with only 170k miles-- for $7500.. and today it has 330k miles and can still tow that toyota up the side of a mountain without even trying hard. I don't know who's paying $14k for a 99 truck, but they got suckered. lol
@@calholli my thoughts exactly. Imagine overpaying for an overrated Toyota.
Sure thing Ricer Fan boi! I wonder how Scotty paid his bills fixing imports, especially since they are so reliable
@@sv5813 Just look at the resale value of a toyota with 100k miles and a BMW or Dodge with the 100k miles. Toyota lasts far longer than other cars.
I’d buy it. Wouldn’t cost that much to restore it relative to the price of a new one.
Listen to that engine as the belt squeaks lol
My '93 Nissan 4x4 (bought in 1996 with 14k miles for $14k) lasted me 20 years and 200k miles. No major repairs. Still had original clutch, never failed me. I miss that truck.
this is so true down to the last words
My Ford Explorer is turning 18 years old, I went into the dealer to look at new trucks and they all have small engines with turbos on them, that’s no good they should give you an option. So it looks like I may have to get a Toyota
The new tundra and tacoma got turbos either
The perfect truck for a zombie apocalypse.
My 2010 Tacoma has 100,000 Mi on it and obviously no issues so far. Still on Factory brakes.
350,000 on my 09 Tacoma and still running great
Guy at my work bought one of those older tundras new and put 625k miles on it. Only reason he has to get rid of it was because eof rust
I don't got a 99 but I got a 14 so here's to hoping they only got better!
Got family that work at that plant. They been there since it opened
Scotty, since you live in snow country, what truck, or SUV (with a heavy duty frame, and suspenion) would you use to build a snowplow to use for some commerical, and residential driveways? Thank You. Kevin
I bought a 4runner that's a year older than I am. Are you proud of me yet, Scotty? Lol
In the uk get a toyota hilux, bulletproof
Longbed?
Nissan is Nissan going on a business in 2024 thank you you make great videos good info and merry Christmas to you and your family
Is 1999 just random, or is any year great, just as long as it's used?
There are going to be lots of Toyota trucks available cheap as apparently those are the trucks Hamas uses and Israel has been dropping smart munitions into the beds for much of the day. Nothing explodes quite like a Toyota truck!
Toyotas last forever, they're so well made!
Ninety-nine! In 99 I would never have bought a 23 year old Chevy truck even if it was perfect the longevity factor just isn't there.
My 2002 is still ticking like a firne tuned watch!
