Despite I love my 2022 Tundra Platinum, I am back in the market for a new truck due to the engine failure. Just picked up my truck last week after two months of engine repairs and it is back in the shop again.
My 2002 Toyota Tundra has been an extremely reliable truck. Now after 350,000 miles I am in the market for another pickup truck. Looking at the truck reviews for the latest Toyotas, they all point to metal shavings in the engine. Not sure which one I will get, but disappointed in Toyota that they did not maintain their high standards from 20 years ago! At the time, it was the only truck made with 100% American parts, although it is a Japanese company. Or I may keep my Tundra and get 500,000 miles on it...
@@donovankelly7723- Chevrolet V8 and the a/c good in all temps. But over time they get slop in the u-joints and give you that reverse torque bump when you let off the gas. Never had a Ford so don’t know if that is experienced in other trucks.
As a Ford owner who had to replace the cam phasers in my Ford twice before 65000 miles - I love my Titan. Gas mileage? Yeah, it doesn't have AFM, cylinder deactivation, auto start/stop.. All crap I don't want that causes those engines to fail. This is the 6th year of the 3rd gen of the motor. The kinks have been worked out. Towing capacity? They basically don't make Titans without a crew cab and don't push the boundaries of the frame/powertrain your using. It's the same payload/towing capacity as any domestic truck with a crew cab and 4 wheel drive (maybe better). Including the 6.2 chevy and 3.5 ecoboost. As someone who tows stuff, who in their right mind would want to tow 12,000 pounds in a single cab 1/4 ton pickup. That is insane.
As a Ridgeline owner, I don’t hate this. It’s a great vehicle, but calling it a truck is quite a stretch. I’ve got a beautiful 23 Black Edition in a gorgeous white color…..but it’s not a truck. What makes a "dated" cabin? What real truck owner wants fancy gimmicks and so-called advanced technology that will just fail. Where is the Frontier and Gladiator on this list?
Well, if you’re asking where the frontier and the gladiator are on the list?! Are you truly a truck owner? like he says at the end of every video he makes you the person that is looking for the vehicle. Need to go test drive three of them and you make your own decision. He’s just providing information! Because if we went strictly by what they put out those supposedly at the top of the list the rest of them we wouldn’t buy no matter what the cost was.😮
I respect your opinion and sure you base it on experience, but I’ve had a totally perfect experience with my Ford Ranger! Pulled trailers and it’s never even acted like it wasn’t able to do it!I’ve had my truck over 5 years and still get compliments on it!my worst experience with Ford is the dealership in McKinney Texas won’t hold to their warranty specifications and customer service there is absolutely horrible ! Anyway , sorry you had a bad experience! Above all a good truck is a good , no matter the name on it!
I agree tbh , and I understand the Tundra not being in the list atm. Not going to lie I try to convince myself otherwise but Ford just have the best features. Can’t beat the Powerboost smh.
Thanks. I needed a second opinion but no body I know cares. I would have put that Ram 1500 2nd for the smooth ride, sound damping and infotainment. Ford and Toyota Tundra would be my top two because of brand recognition Toyota had and I prefer the look of the tundra. The seats in the ford is not as comfortable and the road noise from the ford is more noticeable than Toyota. The feature from fords is what keeps it at a class of its own. That outlet in the truck bed and hybrid engine is a winner!!!
That titan is the last of old school reliable v8s. The frontier is the last of the reliable large na v6s. Nothing else on this list is reliable. Ford-cam phasers v6 turbo. GM 1500s lifters. Ram turbo v6 all new? Canyon Colorado turbo 4s. Toyota all terrible on new trucks as well. All the new v8s have terrible cylinder deactivation.
The ram 1500 is the best because it is the simplest if you get with the 5.7 hemi. Still uses port FI, NOT DI, which is high maintenence and not any real improvements.
This dude must be a ford lover powerful engine a ford? Fix or repair daily? Even backwards driver returns on foot? Like what ford have way more problems then a chevy or gmc
I hate to say this but there are many thingsd in this script that are incorrect, includint eh GMS and Colorado needing a refresh... They just received one a year ago. I truly believe chat GPT wrote this script... Please do better. You knwo whats up guys. LAZY VIDEO!!!!!
Ford paid for this video. Ford has the worst build quality and highest maintenance among the big 3. Anybody that says the Ford is first has been paid by Ford.

What about the Toyota Tundra?
considering that they killed their V8 and they have a massive recall on their hands, I think it was quite generous that he left them out.
Despite I love my 2022 Tundra Platinum, I am back in the market for a new truck due to the engine failure. Just picked up my truck last week after two months of engine repairs and it is back in the shop again.

The colorado + canyon were refreshed in 2023. They have all the tech and features lol. Potentially do your homework before making a tierlist?
Literally, i was so confused with him talking about the dated design
Plus, they no longer come with a diesel.
In addition, he is comparing all together when they are from a different truck size segments, 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Once he said that they were outdated I was just like this man did not do his research and backed out of the video.
literally the best looking trucks are made by chevy, followed by ford. in my correct opinion of course! lol
Owned Ford and GMC pickups. Currently driving a 2020 Titan, love it.
I’m driving a 2024 Ford, 5000 miles on it the ac doesn’t work.
My F-150 ac works well…until the temps hit mid-90’s and higher and then it blows lukewarm

The Canyon and Colorado come only with a 4 cylinder engine. The diesel option went away a few years ago.
I've seen them at 6 cylinder
They have a V6. I have one
The Ridgeline has “car like handling” just like most other cars. 😂

Finally a video that goes straight to the point! 👍
F 250 does whatever I ask. 6.8L is a great addition to the lineup. 7.3 L will walk all over it all day long, but can be a bit much daily.
Love your channel, but you might need to double-check your script. Not sure where you got it, but it sounds like it's outdated.
I’ll double check.
Im not sure about outdated..ford was where it should have been but ram could and should have been a little sooner on the list..just my 2 cents..

The only thing with ford interiors is that they always look a little dated and. The the best look inside.

Made the list so we all would complain .
Feel you miss an expensive price on the Dodge ram but not with the Ford F150?
Ford not reliable at all, personal experience

The comfort of both the cabin and ride of the ram would be a better choice for the daily driver.
No frontier or Hyudai. List not complete.
List?

Wow, this guy is definitely paid off
Sierra has tranmission problems... I got 90,000 miles on my truck, and tranmission is gone 🥴🥴🥴
Long term reliable.?
Agree-if you’re working for a living, It’d be nice to know how often I’d need to replace the truck !!
Titan wins on this list for reliability.
the japaneses are more reliable always
94000 miles on my sierra and the engine is gone already, didn't even get the 100,000 miles 😢

I'm old and my knees hurt, that is why I own a Ridgeline. It is a great vehicle though.
Yeah, you touch base about so many trucks, but never mentioned anything about the Toyota tundra even mention the Honda Ridgeline
The Ranger was right in the middle. I will take that. Do indeed like my Ranger.
What about the tundra and cyber truck ?
Both not holding up too well.
How about tundra?
This dude must be a ford lover powerful engine a ford? Fix or repair daily? Even backwards driver returns on foot? Like what ford have way more problems then a chevy or gmc
You forgot "found on road dead."
Yes Ford also has Nice MPG , and Hands down the King of Pick up trucks, yes they got the V8, 3.5 and 2.7.

You need to do voice-overs
Good idea... any suggestions on who I can work with/for?
@@everymandriver That's where my input ends haha
Fords have issues with the cam phasers
Colorados r BA. Motor trends truck of the year 2 years in a row. Don't try to follow the zr2 r bison off-road, you will get your feelings hurt.
Ram is better than the GM and Chevy
Ram doesn't use cylinder deactivation system
👍
They do have MDS, similar to cylinder deactivation in the 5.7 Hemi.
Ford has the best looks outside model. As far as parts.. it's the worst. Always something wrong. Not the way to go. Gmc, Tundra or Chevy good options
Reliability is far more important than flash and so much electronics that just goes out. You are far off base.
Gladiator? Frontier? Tundra?
TRX?
Didn’t even mention Toyota tundra 🤷🏾♂️😂 that’s #1
The Ford F150 is about as reliable as a trash can.
High cost, low reliability
I'll take a Silverado 1500 anyday over a Ram or Ford
Where is Toyota tundra??
this list is super outdated...calling trucks outdated on their introductory year
What no Toyota Tundra???
No Tundra or Frontier whatabout Cybertruck ...
Always Ford on top! Read it and wheep
The Titan is absolutely the best, most reliable truck on the list. Have you not been paying attention? You've lost all credibility.
So is Ridgline yet they both at the Bottom. this must be capability list
@@travisstrickland7270 Capability is an undefined measurement. I think his list is probably a Bro Dozer list
I wont pay $20 for a titan! Totally agree with the list
@@JulioGarcia-kz8pvI bet you do 😂
More like fix or repair daily
Who made this video? Lol ridgeline has the most towing capacity
Karen did.
in what world would Dodge beat GMC. Chevy or Toyota? This video was AI generated!

They didn’t pay me for this video.
Don't buy a Ford get a chevy or GMC fords engines are blowing up!!
Just reading the specs and making a list… not helpful… not even reading all the specs.
Hahahaha
Ford is trash and over priced due to its continuous decline in quality, would rather go with GMC/Chevy or Ram
Disagree.
Ford sucks
No way , teribile list
Thank you.
Dodge ram is trash
We love our ram 1500 and grand cherokee, both with 5.7. But they must be modified for better cooling.
Ram 1500 interior is trash…same interior their models 6 years ago
