All our life stories and history are written in this piece. Contemplate all that has brought us here and the amazing accomplishments that has made this performance possible on RUclips three centuries after it was conceived. Let's not lose it now. I feel at home in the sound.
This is an amazing recording. Martin Baker plays it phenomenally. A true masterpiece. This chaconne is one of Bach‘s most fascinating compositions. It is a wonderful view into the German soul. Touching to see how Martin Baker plays it. It has it all! The registrations support the message in a unique way. The organ is fabulous, but Baker know how to get the best out of it. Thank you.
An inspired performance indeed. Watched Thomas Ospital play this piece two weeks ago, St. Eustache Paris (transc. Henri Messerer). Both very good, albeit different arrangements. This is an excellent rendition.
I have loved the sound of this instrument since I first heard David Patrick play it, great performance, beautiful registrations and colour in the sound, love the soft wood stops.
I like this interpretation, but to me it sounds a bit "muddy" and confused on the organ. So many of Bach's beautiful melodies were lost in the acoustics.
There are a few fantastic performances and arrangements on RUclips played on piano, but I haven’t yet come across an excellent organ one. It’s not a problem with the performers who are incredible, but that this piece just may not work as well for organ as so many others that were composed for it and not later adapted. Odd for Bach music to not just work for every instrument after all.

Masterpiece in every way - Bach the genius, brilliant organ and Baker doing justice to both
The most inspired piece of playing I've so far heard on the Buckfast Abbey organ. The registrations were simply gorgeous!
The quality of the recording is amazing !
Bravoooooooooooo👏👏👏
😵😵😵😵😵, Ich bin erschlagen! What a heavenly piece and what a sublime performance...story telling on a whole new level!
Superbly done! An incredilbly moving piece played magnificently.

I hear the mythic beast murmuring, crying its emotions, echoing in the chamber.

is this available as a CD/SACD?
Afraid not, sorry!

❤❤❤ I'm from Padua, it's surprising me, wonderful instrument as usual😌
