Great contrast between a stock ECU calibration solution and a full stand alone engine management solution. This is a tough topic to discuss without stepping on toes or come off as sending gut punches. The truth is though, either of the solutions have their place, it's when they're used outside of their intended scope that complications arise reflecting their obvious pros and cons but that's a whole other topic. I thought Tyler also quickly covered the bases on both the advantages and disadvantages of his forced induction choices from his own real world experience with the same no nonsense, best tool for his application approach, which is great. We need more attitudes like this in the industry I reckon - Taz.

Tyler is talking about a complete engine long block build to go from NA to running 20+ psi reliably. It all depends on the power goal and usage. Also depends the extent of porting and polish that you are willing to pay for. For a similar build the SR20 is about 10-20% cheaper.
The problem with the SR is your stuck with a boat chassis at the end of the day. You can always add power but a chassis you cannot change... BRZ all the way
