You got it!! They have only put them on a few models. They are in the research stage right now. Only problem so far, when it gets bumped out of alignment anything is fair game 😂
Man great video Ben, was fun walk through and around on the property, definitely can tell how much more the new mill has helped, as well as getting more larger logs sawn up.
I’ve got a detector. Quit using it a while back. It wouldn’t pick up nails 4” under the bark. I have always wanted to try to bimetallic blades. But they are pricey.
I have an LT35HD on order. That’s a big upgrade from my Woodland HM-126. Should I update the order to the LT-40 wide? I have enough cash for the 35, not the 40.
When I ordered my LT35 I also had just enough money to pay for it. A few weeks before the mill was to be delivered, WM called me and told me that they had an LT40 Wide in stock because the buyer backed out at the last minute. The difference in cost was $$$$$$$$$$$$$ but I jumped at the offer. I have NEVER regretted the decision. When do you expect delivery on your order? Dave
Personally I upgraded from the LT 35 manual mill. The hydraulics on your upgrade will make a huge difference you’ll see a huge uptick in yield . If I were in your position with cash in hand for the LT 35 hydraulic I would purchase it. My personal philosophy on finances is anytime you can stay out of debt do! Once you get your feet under you with the LT 35 start putting cash back for a future upgrade to the lt40. Your lt 35 will hold it’s value incredibly and the market for mills is extremely high. I’m also curious do you plan to use this as A Hobby mill, secondary source of income, or primary source of income?
I didn't know that WM offered a cutting laser for their mills. That's where the smoke is coming from....... right?

Enjoy your new mill. Proud for you.
Thanks Jerry!!

Definitely helping me catch up.
Drive belt tension time (I think 20hrs is when it's first done) and check everything. That first 20hrs is key ;)
Indeed.
Metal detectors will help with the nails and BiMetal bands survive them better than Double Hards
