Which engine do you have?
I hit that lever and now it’s not wanting to start back up or not any power
Thank you for the good and honest information. I will try 2 on my mill
Absolutely. Just don’t let them sell you the wrench. A normal socket and ratchet drive works better for a 10th the price
Is it reliable?
I have about 13 hours on it at this point. So far it’s worth what I paid. It would be excellent for home owners or even land scraper but not really ideal for my application.
I finally got a whole set a few months ago... Did not like the pins that come with em... Hard to get in with that groove on the end of em... I replaced em all with smooth ends and used the regular tractor 3 point latch pins on the ends.... I never use those keepers for the adjusting nut either... they just get in the way... Quick and easy now...
I agree the groove ends are aggravating. Good idea with the pines and latch pins. Just don’t get your finger in the latch pin 😂.
Can u pick up a pretty good size log with it ?
It does okay.
Travel speed is to slow and the controls are horrible, I didnt know these things tracked with both sticks
It is a bit slow. But for the price it’s not the end of the world.
What's the ability of this unit, how much can it handle and what's the advantage of having this one rather than a big skidder ? Looking forward to seeing the video
Yessir
I moved that white section with the spring to the opposite side of that steel plate ( have the steel plate set back as far as it can) and it worked for me. For now.
Nice!
😊
That’s illegal these days
Rain is illegal??! I didn’t know 😂
Wonder if that rope left a mark on gloves
Definitely
Great way to be in the danger zone. That ground man needs some serious training how about letting out some slack on that rope and standing about 20 ft further back so you're not in danger. Sloppy work to say the least and yes I've been a tree man forever 40 years but what do I know right lol. For that matter if you have a portable bucket on the job site why not just piece it down instead of taking such a large section at one time. Always remember in tree work haste makes waste.
No one cares how long you’ve been in tree work. Was the groundie in a bad spot? Yeah sure. Did he perfectly land that stick? Yes absolutely. The guy on the porta wrap is exclusively supposed to slow down the chunks the guy in the tree is sending. Get real and grow up.
I appreciate your opinion. I suppose 9 seconds can tell you everything you need to know about a particular job or crew.
@daveooooo it’s time for you to retire there bud
Thats so cool how you all cut trees down ive seen them in real time its pretty crazy to see a dude tied off in another branch while using a chin saw to cut the other.
It’s fun stuff.
Que clase bomba de inyeccion rotativo o lineal...por favor 😅😅gracias
I’m not sure, I assume it’s a rotary pump.
Make sure you’ve got low resistance on one wire and high resistance on the other, (on the solenoid side) to ensure your solenoid(s) if you’ve put multiple in aren’t being fried by a short in the wiring harness or something of that nature
Seems to have been low quality parts. Perched from dealer and it’s not given trouble sense
WoodMizer says 26” width cut but you’re saying you can only get about 20”??
So the mouth on that unit is 26” so… if everything is perfect roller to roller you can get 26”. As we all know nothing is ever perfect. Either the log stops up realistically 20” is all I could do.
I was helping cut down a dead dade county pine. Was in the Bobcat doing the tensioning and once the tree fell it broke in many pieces as it was termite eaten. Had a branch fly off and end up with me in the machine. It was so light it didn't hurt me but it did have mean ants in it! Looks like you took on that tree all by yourself.
Yeah that was a solo endeavor
@@DustyRanch Impressive! I thought I was the only one who did stuff like that. Wish you were here in Florida, I would gladly give you a hand.
Those old caterpillar crawler loaders are tough, it is no wonder it was not damaged by the tree. My favorite part of removing hurricane debris is picking up and loading with the Bobcat, I do the same using the Bobcat to hold and lower logs with a rope.
It can be fun
For your first few cuts, have you tried not raising the side supports all the way up? That would allow the log to be positioned closer to the rail enabling a wider cut.
That is definitely a way to do it. It makes me nervous on logs this size. Can’t imagine picking it up from the wrong side.
That let go fast
Yes it did
That let go fast
Indeed
I did this replacement for the second time and it's easier than described here. You need to remove the small wood block guard for the belt. Need to remove the whole upper blade Tensioning hole guard and you need to remove the small metal guard on the top left side of the wheel. Need to release the tension by taking the belt off the front large wheel. With the slack you need to turn it sideways and slide it behind the small wheel. Then you're home baby. Just reverse that process and you got it.
Yes you also have to unhook the spring obviously.
Thank you.
What if i installed it in wrong position.. And run the engine.. And stop lever stucked
Not sure what you mean?
Happy fourth my friend! Grateful for the best country.
Same to you my friend
If i was closer I'd be there helping cowboy 🤠💪👍🧡🧡👌
I appreciate that!
Nice video. Love the lift. Do you find the 50 footer being too short or does it cover most of your jobs. I noticed you did not use a chipper but instead hauled the limbs. Just curious, was it because you would need another tow vehicle? Asking because we are looking at adding a lift and that is what we are facing; another large item, another tow vehicle, another worker.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I love the lift but do wish I had more reach. The reason I am not using a chipper in this video, I try to keep my overhead low. For me that means no bank loans. I have been saving up for a chipper for a long time. I actually bought one last month. I have 2 trucks and 3 machines that go out on jobs. Just means I have to make another trip
Looked easy. But, then, it always does when you watch someone else. Good video, Ben.
It is easy until you start sweating 😂.
Good job looks a lot better.
Thanks Steve. I love seeing the different 10-12 hours of work makes.
Thanks my friend!!
Looking good brother, those are great lifts, I used one on my truss gussets install! Saw safe 🧡💪
Thanks brother! Definitely glad to have it.
That thing exploded like dropping a sheet of glass. Good job, thanks for sharing
Yes it did! I should have added that sound.
That sucker sure did explode! Nice job👊🏻
Thanks for watching. Todd hope all is well.
Wow! That one just disintegrated!!!
I wished I wasn’t working by myself that day 😂
Your reminding me of the old jar head! Good to see your out cutting 👍🧡🌲🌲🌲 Are you going to mill any trunk ?
That’s a complement for sure! Thanks my friend. That trunk actually went into the burn pile. I may pull it out and take a look at it later. I doubt it makes anything worth having.
Good dropping of that dead maple. From the 'explosion' it looks like it wasn't even good for firewood.
Thanks my friend. There may have been 6’ of ok ish wood but it definitely was very far gone. The whole thing went to the burn pit.
Nice job
Thanks Del. Hope all is well.
Ben Watson did some tree trimming for me and made such a big difference in the looks of my home. Trees were hanging over my roof which made for a dangerous situation. All was taken care of and did some extras for me as well. I recommend his work and you won't be disappointed.
Rose retired firefighter and safety officer for my department..
It should read as a retired firefighter and safety officer for my department.. I'm concerned that you intentionally broke off that blade in your system. Fairly safe is not totally safe.. and what if someone was walking past year at the moment that thing snapped and it cut him up real bad or worst killed them.. so please be safe out there so you don't get hurt or worse or no one else gets hurt or worse.. no disrespect with this post I'm just concerned about safety.. have a nice day God bless
I truly appreciate your concern. No one else was on property, no risk to anyone except myself. That said the risk to myself was extremely minimal because of my location. That said, risk is inherent in most things we do. Complete safety is an illusion. My goal was to show the danger involved if others were around and why we keep guards in place. Great comment please continue to watch and enjoyed our videos.
Ain’t it crazy ? You got a mill and running it like no tomorrow and working like a champ. You buy a new and updated one and you can’t keep it rolling. Now that’s called FRUSTRATION !!
It is a little aggravating, but I think it is finally working properly. Fingers crossed 🤞🏽
Hey by the way how you like the 38hp engine. I’m looking to upgrade either to the 38 or diesel .
I would definitely recommend the extra Hp.
Woodmizer makes some great mills, we have a lt35. New subscriber, keep up the good work!
Thanks! They are great. My first mill was a LT35. Is yours manual or hydraulic?
Glad everyone is ok, do you run your board return when your running solo?
Only if I’m running a lot of heavy stuff and I set the roller beds up.
😂🤣 glad you have the covers on there qhen I'm working with you on sawing up some logs for me lol
At looked like Wood Mizer of the Carolina's... That's where I bought my mill... We love these electronics when they're workin but boy they're a pain when they don't...
Great people over there. And agreed the tech is great when it’s working!!
That sucks! Hate to hear it was down so long!!! Hope it serves you well now!
It’s a great machine. Like any technology when it works it’s fabulous, when it doesn’t it’s a pain.
You should have just drove it over to the house and cut some logs up lol, well hopefully it'll continue to run and cut properly
Thanks bud.
What’s the socket size?
Off the top of my head I think 5/8 but I can check later for you.
@@DustyRanch It’s all good! I just measured mine 1 1/4 I’m gonna make a wrench with a hand crank!
@@tythesnoman I got ya. Sorry I thought you meant the mounting brackets. I didn’t realize you were talking about to top nut.
Do you all often get dogwood that big. We are luck to ever get ones over 5-6 inches. Good video. Dogwood in expensive and hard to dry. It likes to split, check, warp, twist, cup. Etc. pretty wood but a lot of time and waste wood.
Not very often. Like you we normally see it very small.
Your 4th and 5th lever for the log rollers. You should take them handles off and bend them at the same degree down so when you go to grab the levers those levers are not in series with the rest. They are a one off feature so you dont need them during milling time. Or could even make them longer and bent.
That is an excellent suggestion. I very well may do that. Thanks for the idea!!
You bet.
