His restaurant was attacked by pro-Khalistani supporters, which came days after the Indian High Commission in London was vandalised. Watch here.

It’s a misconception that Buddhist temples are destroyed by Muslim invaders. When Muslims came to India, Buddhism was already, on its last legs, because of Hindu revivalism in 8th century.
Bhahmanic hegemony was very agressive towards Buddhism. Thousands of Buddhist temples were destroyed and Buddhist monks were killed during Hindu revivalism. Way before Muslim invaders came to India. Muslim invaders sure finished the job started by Hindus. But the easy answer to "Who destroyed Buddhist temples?" "Muslims." Although we love this easy answer. It is so not true.
So what was the threat to Hindus? The simplest, most direct answer why Buddhism is dying in India is to look into what the Buddha teaches: There is no supreme deity. All phenomena are a manifestation of cause and effect. Self is a temporary illusion. All, including consciousness, is impermanent and conditionally arising. All, regardless of caste or gender, can reach awakening. Such ideas pose an existential threat to other religions; not just at that time but even today. So who destroyed Buddhist temples and tried to wipe out Buddhism? Look into who had the most to fear from Buddha’s teachings. Who needed to preserve the existing social order? There is a historical parallel here with holocaust deniers and romancers of the Confederacy.
Hundreds, if not thousands of Buddhist temples were converted into Shiva temples, Hindu stalwarts such as Kumarila Bhatt and Shankarcharya arrived on the scene almost 500-800 after the death of Buddha. Most of Buddhist temples converted the stupas into Lingams (note the resemblance and the lack of an origin story of lingam).
A meditating shiva is not unlike a meditating Buddha and this is where Sankara played his part. He shamelessly claimed Buddhist temples as Shiva temples. If you look into the temple records of any major Hindu temple, they don’t go back beyond 9th century which itself proves that previous records were destroyed to hide evidence of Buddhist ownership.
Now let me explain why Hinduvata government is doing this to Sikhism as they did with Buddhism....The hinduvata and rss as well as other hindu fanatic groups are targetting punjab by hindunizing it. So what is the problem and why Hindu’s main things why they object Sikhism, it’s because they’re against idol worship, caste system, sati and polytheism, that shouldn’t be done anyway. The aryan samaj have made degrading remarks to even the early founders of singh sabha about sikhi. Main question is why?

Ok but the issue is not about Punjabi's. It's about Sikhs. Not all of us Punjabi's are Sikh. I'm a Punjabi Hindu and obviously we do not support Khalistan. Haryanvi Sikhs don't care for Khalistan. Jammu Sikhs don't. It's particularly about Jatt Sikhs whom are not even ethnic Punjabi's as their group came from Rajasthan and Gujarat in the 13th century and did not mix with us Punjabi's.
