That is the only point in the video that I actually disagree with, Hydreigon has been OU viable in gens 6 and 8 but only after they stop being the current OU generation. The only gens he really struggled is gens 5 and 7 due to being outclassed by Latios and being completely counter by Maggearna(forgot how to write her name) and the Tapus, since they with Ash Greninja basically ruled the tier.

With research it seems that a Max Special Attack Hydreigon boosted to +4 can OHKO a Max defense Old Money even wearing its assault vest (+4 252+ SpA Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Old Money: 524-620 (103.9 - 123%) -- guaranteed OHKO
) and we know Old Money wears an Assault vest because it wears it all the time just look at the picture. Though it’ll be hard to boost to +4 anyways let’s hope Hydreigon subscribed to the Jimmothy Cool channel so it can have an easier time boosting.

The fact that it takes its 4x fairy weakness down to a 1/2 resistance while only having a psychic weakness thanks to levitate is big gain. No one's going to risk throwing a psychic move at it up front but can't assume it won't Tera poison to solidify its offense with solid defense. The threat is a valuable mind game tool to boot as just that threat can be stronger than outright using it forcing more mistakes on the opponent.

New Fighting types are coming, like Lilligant-H, Sneasler, and Zapdos-G, as well as common defensive Pokemon like Zapdos and Tornadus, who can outspeed and annoy Hydreigon. But Hydreigon might also play well with those Flying types since they can check the Fighting types that would outspeed and threaten it with CC.
