Thank you for the shout out Dion and Louie . It was such a pleasure meeting you both. I was kinda star struck !
What a day, mates!! What a day🥰
Just sticked my comment on your post and now your video popped up on my screen. You've been enjoying so far. That's good. 🤗❤️
I like how you guys chat with the locals. A lot of foreigners afraid to ask local and chat with locals. This makes you trip experience a lot better and knowing where you are going, the good the bad etc..
You will be amaze on new years eve, how Philippines celebrate. I suggest stay home and see the crazy fire works in to your balcony.nice blog again mate. Keep safe 🏴🇵🇭
It's a war zone, make sure to stay above 10 to 15 floor to watch it. 😂🤣
Glad you checked out Quezon City; my old home city. Pres. Quezon was the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth;; stay safe!
We are so happy we visited, what an amazing place!

So adventurous these two... 🥰 It's so funny you are not allowed to talk in the train 😁 enjoy your day
It was very strange haha! Thank you very much🥰
Ah yeah.. actualy theres a protocol .. they are not allowing you to talk in The train either using celfone by talking … 😊
@@TravelstoFreedom It may seem strange to you, but discouraging people from talking in a crowded place, even with their face mask on, was part of our country's covid-19 health protocol. In the face of the still existing certain variants of this dreaded virus, though not as deadly as before, that continue to still hit people, especially the elderly and so called co - morbid people, this simple precautionary measure is still deemed necessary to help prevent the further spread of this unseen enemy.
Welcome to the Philippines!

Amazing place. All Christmas lights all over the place… thanks for this video….
Yey, you got to visit Eastwood :) It's actually a commercial district like BGC, but it's smaller. Some call it mini San Francisco. Been to SF many years ago and the architecture of the buildings do look a bit similar. They even have a tram there that looks like a SF cable car. It's free to ride. It just goes around Eastwood during the day. (Not sure up to what time.)
Dion, just go clothes shopping in SM Megamall in Ortigas Center. It's a huge mall with a huge dept. store (like Mall of Asia). It's in Mandaluyong too where you're staying. :)
Pres. Manuel Quezon is in the 20 peso bill btw. He's the second president of PH but was the first president of the Commonwealth, which was the transitional government before full independence. :)
Btw, someone mentioned here about what Pres. Quezon did for some Jews after the war. Another thing you might find interesting is that the Philippines was actually the only Asian country who voted for the establishment of the nation of Israel in 1947. That's why Israel gave Filipino tourists visa-free access to Israel (but only for 90 days stay i think.)
Quezon City's the biggest in the whole of Metro Manila. Lived here for more than 4 decades. It'll take you more than a whole week to tour all the good places around.
I really enjoyed watching your vlogs. Thank you for visiting our country again.
More power to the both of you and more subscribers to subscribed.
Thank you! 😃

4:44 thats the Quezon Memorial Shrine 66 meters (217 ft) , there's an ordinance in Quezon city that all buildings within the city cannot be build taller than the shrine, but the first to disobey that is the Quezon City Hall
Hope you can visit lantern parade on December 21,here at U.P Campus Diliman Quezon,City at 6:00 p.m
Manila is so busy
Eastwood city is beautiful. We were there before the pandemic new years eve of 2019 during the new year countdown. I'm so glad all those Christmas lights are back with vengeance.

Eastwood City at night is the the most awesome of them all, more than BGC
or ROCKWELL or GREENBELT of MAKATI when it comes to Christmas Lights it glitters at night time.
Eastwood was the BGC before BGC, late 90's to early 2000's. This started the ultra modern city style in Metro manila and now in Cebu.
Oh wow that’s crazy!

The Philippines is a beautiful country

it's so beautiful there in eastwood. I miss that place. I worked there at IBM Eastwood after I graduated from college.
It's more fun in the Philippines . beautiful mall and light Christmas tree every were u go so beautiful place wow it's new year now for fire works god bless stay safe happy couple enjoy your travel my country Philippines
Go to Greenhills for clothe shopping or to SM North which is also in QC
8:02 from where u r u should go straight to Trinoma Mall or SM North Edsa (one of world's largest malls but purely shopping and some restaurants).
Nice one 😍😍😍❤️
Thanks 🤗
Thanks 🤗
Thanks 🤗
Nice of you to be venturing out to see the less touristy place. The downside of using public transport is it can be pretty crowded especially during rush hour. And, you're right about the 'no talking policy' in the MRT a covid protocol, same with the wearing of masks in public transport. Although things are starting to be more lax lately.
There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby in Maginhawa St mostly local and hardly visited by foreigners. And walking distance from Quezon circle.
Try going to LaLoma in Quezon City, Lechon Capital of the Philippines
I’ll go anywhere for Lechon😍
You missed going to one of the most beautiful University Campuses in Manila and the top Univ in the country-The University of the Philippines Diliman, which is just a few hundred meters from Quezon Memorial Circle. My alma mater and first home!!!
You must go Ortigas centre Pasig city manila, second big business district next to Makati City....
Depending on your present/current location there are no jepnys that go to Quezon City. You can ask random commuting people to where exactly you intend to go to be easy for them to know. Example, you want to go exactly to Quezon Circle or Quezon City Hall for easy understanding. Happy traveling to you both.
tagaytay next destination 👍🏽
There a free ride in bus (Edsa Corousel Bus) , but train and ferry during pandemic is free rides.
Wow, still not tired of that country huh. Might as well visit UP Diliman and the Ateneo if you're in QC. The LRT2 will take you all the way to Antipolo now.
Hello there..please try to go up to Antipolo and check out the view of metromanila by day and by night.. guarantee you that you will love it.especially with San Miguel beer..haha we used to drink their with our friends when we were young enjoying the night view of Metromanila with the City lights on…...and its a bit cooler there as compared to the lowland Metromanila..just for a change.😊 By the way you are right.Quezon City is huge and beautiful.its not perfect but overall i must say Quezon City is the most complete city in Metromanila aside from the fact that Quezon City is the City Of Stars because most celebrities lived there and most televison networks are also located there…i live at Quezon City thats why i know.😊
The museum in QC memorial holds vintage Presidential cars as their main attraction,
Sadly its not open
There are plenty of food booths inside the Quexon Memorial Circle which you did not notice
You still have a lot to explore inside National Capital Region..guys..
And im so happy watching you how much you embrace philippines culture..
Stay longer in Philippines nd try to own a condo somewhere in BGC..
Stay safe always..God Bless
National Capital Region or NCR are cities comprise of Manila City(the capital of NCR), Quezon City, Pasig City, Pasay City, Caloocan City, Mandaluyong City, Makati City(Main Business Center of the Philippines), Marikina City, Taguig City, Parañaque City, Malabon City, Navotas City, Valenzuela City and Las Piñas City.
if u go back to Quezon memorial circle aside from that museum (which is close on monday) u should also check out the presidential cars museum it's inside that circle. ask around specially the guards.
Oh okay that sounds cool! Why is the museum we saw closed down now?
@@TravelstoFreedom
if u were there on a monday, they are close every monday. monday is their restday/cleanupday. the gate infront of max's restaurant there is an underground walkway if u want to explore going to the city hall.
Welcome to my City!!!!
We still have lots to offer
- Wildlife park
- Eco park
- The trio mall (SM fairview, Fairview Terraces and Robinsons Market market)
- Araneta City (Cubao)
The eco park looks amazing, we’re definitely hoping to check it out and the wildlife park too!
@@TravelstoFreedom goooooooo
You can also swim there in ecopark, they have a pool. I am just near that place.
Manuel Quezon is the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth during the time when we were still under American occupation.
The city is named after him, and his face is on the 20 peso bill.
Hey guys. Welcome back to the Philippines. Just started watching your videos again, but please stop moving the camera too much. I feel like I'm riding in a roller coaster. Very dizzying experience.
Yes he was the first president of the Philippines and he’s actually buried in that shrine. Quezon City used to be the capital of the country.
i think there’s an app that tells you which public transpos to take from point a to point b. just forgot the name 😅
Come back Watford shopping lol looks like shops not bought a thing never mind saving pennies see you in next one good views all thrm shops wicked love you guys be safe xx mum
For me ilove you lovely couple for all your vlogs its amazing in enjoying to watching you to showing us our beautiful country,in the amazing Christmas lanterns, the christmas lights in holidays season & the beauty of phil and everything..take care always, enjoy your travel here..❤️❤️❤️...
Bagio next pls
QC, is the largest city in Metro Manila so have to be specific which part of QC.
As a QC girl:
1. There are food stalls in Quezon Circle.
2. I believe you passed through yhr largest university in the Philippines, where are a lot really cheap food.
3. No, Eastwood is not "the mall" in QC, it's a smaller bgc/makati, mostly young professionals and a place for higher middle class . SM North and Trinoma, which are just near The Circle, are a lot better.
Manuel Quezon is the 2nd president of the Philippines, but he is the 1st President of the commonwealth (when the Philippines was under US) Emilio Aguinaldo is the 1st president of the Philippines / 1st Republic of The Philippines before we got colonized by the Americans. We've got a very rich history and many hostorical places you can visit. Try to visit corregidor as well. Keep safe guys and welcome to our country
😮❤
Love u guyz Merry Christmas to u u can visit also the Podium mall the futuristic style mall in the phils near sm miga mall

How to go to Tagaytay City?
Just take a ride on bus or van from Manila going to Tagaytay City.
The towering structure lies the buried body of President Quezon, and under that park a tunnel of train
Kinda surprising that a person would approach you and tell you that you can't talk on the train. The no talking was implemented during the height of COVID surges especially the Delta and Omicron surges. Still I think you can talk on the trains now, but yes if you see people aren't talking on train best to do as the Romans do. Glad you made it to Eastwood City the OG BGC. Eastwood started the trend of small pocket city.
That last bit that you did not understood fireworks haha
I never got the appeal, always hated them but I really enjoyed them that night 🤣

Great stuff. Of course there are several malls selling clothes. You need to return to Eastwood city. Also, thanks for the tour of the Quezon city monument and circle. Did you also know that President Quezon was responsible for taking in 1,500 European Jews during WW2? That it was the only country in the world to do so? That the Jews to this day are forever grateful? Check it out. Thanks for the lovely tour and the laughs along the way. Cheers from rainy and cold Spain.
It definitely won’t be our last visit to Eastwood City we loved it there!! We didn’t know that, hahaha a great thing and a very beautiful part of Filipino history you should be proud

Just take a ride on bus or van from Manila going to Tagaytay City.
also try to react to An Open Door: Jewish Rescue in the Philippines so you can get to know Quezon better
you can ask them/mall staff where are the clothing section
This is what we get for trying to discover for ourselves haha!
Quezon City is the biggest and richest LGU in metro manila.
Oh cool!
Well, hello to my neck in the woods, like literally a few km north from the Quezon Memorial Circle ("the Statue"), the shrine under which the man himself, the Commonwealth president Manuel L. Quezon, is buried. This place is almost *never* featured in vlogs. Didn't GoogleMaps point you Maginhawa Street where there's loads of other holes-in-the-wall eats? *sad*
(Great to see you take the train, btw. Best way to zip through north-to-south EDSA and Metro Manila's cities except during the morning and afternoon rush hours). If you fancy returning to this part of QC, there will be the traditional Lantern Parade at the premiere state uni University of the Philippines-Diliman campus (UP DIliman) on 21 December 2022 starting at 4pm, the 1st in-person event since 2019. Take a UP Campus jeep from the base of the Quezon Ave. MRT station along Quezon Avenue. Anyway, there would have been other places to go within the perimeter of the Memorial Circle like the Parks and Wildlife center which is better visited from mid-afternoon-the area can get generally dark pretty quickly: "Diliman" is from "dilim," ie. dark; contextually, therefore "Diliman" would mean "[(the area) where it is] dark." QC is topographically higher than Makati and Manila, therefore, where you ended at in Eastwood is northeast of the Memorial Circle and down the valley. Come around next time, maybe?
yeah he was our Commonwealth President in WW-II time ahhahhahh again my fave history subject 😂😂
QUEZON CITY is the largest city in Metro Manila.
It really is massive! Amazing place for sure
Among the 16 cities of Metro Manila, Quezon city is the biggest. It is also the richest. Makati is only the second richest city.
Oh wow okay, thanks for telling us!

*If you ask "I'll go to Quezon City", no one will answer you directly because you have to be specific on the district. Quezon City comprises 1/4 of Metro Manila in both land nnd population.
*The northern stations of MRT are located in Quezon City
*Maybe you can't go in the museum because it's about 5pm?
*Manuel Quezon is the 2nd president of the Philippines (the 1st president during the American Occupation period)
*Eastwood is just one of the business districts in QC. QC itself has a mostly suburban vibe compared to Manila, with more open spaces.
